This was my second time back in the this property with my family and I found there was a few things that needed to be updated and could have been a bit more cleaner this time round.

Vakantiehuis vlak in de buurt van het strand. In het huis was alles aanwezig. Ruime kamers met douche gelegenheid in iedere kamer. Zwembad was ook heerlijk. Echt een aanrader.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted at reception by a lady with bright red hair and her hand up saying “don’t bring that luggage to reception” and ordered to leave it at the door! No welcome smile or enquiry how our journey had been. Service was appalling from the start. When we arrived in the room I was horrified at the state of the decor. It was dated, needed painting and decorating and certainly needed new facilities. I thought I was back in the 80s. I was even more appalled when i saw the balcony. It was tiny. So tiny that the only way you could get 2 chairs out there and open the door was to stack the chairs. You couldn’t sit out there at all and enjoy the outside space. I immediately went back to reception to ask for a room with a bigger balcony, fully expecting to pay extra. The lady with the red hair said it was impossible as they are all the same size. Very unhelpful. Clearly someone who is not happy in her job. We spent the first night in the room and I didn’t sleep a wink. The bed had a huge dip in the middle so I spent the night in a roll. And by the side of the bed was a light that was impossible to turn off. I complained to the reception again. A lady called Sara helped me. At first she was lovely and offered me a new room, she gave me a new key to check the room first before we moved. I checked the bed was ok and it was. This kitchen area looked a little less dated so I felt it was a better option. We packed and unpacked and moved all our stuff down the immensely long corridor with no offer of help and unpacked in the new room only to discover the fridge was broken and the aircon didn’t work. The lamp was also covered in some kind of crusty dirt! I had to go back to reception again very very annoyed and upset. Sara and the other receptionists just rolled their eyes at me as if I am some kind of serial complainer!!!! I was the one feeling embarrassed in the end for pointing out their failings. The standard of accommodation is certainly NOT 4 star!! It’s 3 at the very best. The service at reception is a zero star from me! I was made to feel awkward and uncomfortable for something that really wasn’t my fault. I’ve worked hard to pay for my 4 star holiday and I wanted to switch off and relax knowing that my needs and comfort were being catered for. Instead the reception staff don’t care about their customers and almost resent them for being on holiday!!! PLEASE DONT EVEN BOTHER STAYING HERE. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

At first glance, better than I expected, however, we find negative points with the course of the stay: the waiting time at reception is crazy, it seems a Portuguese public service. It is not acceptable that with so many guests there is only one person to take care of every time... The hotel's jacuzzi, which is included in the price, has ice water and only smoke 2 air outlets. So it is almost impossible to be. Nice but useless... In the pay-payed SPA, there are tb aspects to improve for that, because when paid and within a 4 stars, you cannot have doors to drag through the floor, for example, as you have in the women's toilet. Tb there are security doors that do not open in the bars what is very strange and the most strange is still not there is security equipment in the kitchen as an extinguisher or shelter as it has a fog. However, the reconstruction has been successful and I hope that these aspects will be improved quickly because I wanted to return to the hotel.

great house, very clean and tidy. Everything was there what you need. A small drawback were the dogs on the neighboring terrace. Otherwise a great house in a good location. Shops and restaurants are nearby. And the transport links are good. The landlords

Last week myself and my partner stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and we had a horrible time - it doesn’t even seem real what happened to us. One morning at 6am we asked an arrogant night manager for water and he told us that unless we had coins for the vending machine, we were not getting water. He shrugged his shoulders and told me we there was nowhere open. What kind so called 4 star hotel does not have water for guests. Anyway - it got way worse. The next night myself and my partner were woken at 2am by the doorbell ringing. I could then hear the same night manager shouting in our door accusing myself and my partner of throwing eggs off the balcony which was an absolutely ludicrous accusation and completely untrue. The same guy demanded I open the door, when I did there was 2 other guys standing there with him angrily looking at me not wearing hotel uniform trying to barge into the room. I genuinely thought I was going to get assaulted or we would get robbed. I do not know if this was retaliation from the hotel manager because I had said it was a disgrace the night before that the hotel did not have water for guests. Both myself and my partner were shook after this encounter. We could not get back to sleep that night and it ruined our holiday. I cannot believe a hotel staff member could do this at work. 3 guys standing there roaring at me accusing of doing something which was completely false and made up. The room was basic but we did not mind that. The main issue was the room was filthy. Dusty pillows and half cleaned on two occasions over the 5 days. We enjoyed the breakfast but found the food for lunch and dinner was terrible. Stale food sitting out for ages without being changed so we stopped eating at the hotel. We are still waiting on our 100 euro deposit back and would like this asap. On a plus side - the pool area is nice and the location is very good. Other than that there is nothing good to say. Never could we have imagined a hotel staff member being so horrible and intimidating to us. It completely ruined our holiday and how this kind of behaviour is found to be acceptable is beyond me. Even writing this now is baffling. Again we would like our deposit back asap at the very least after a horrible experience. Thanks, James H
