We checked in at the ”Somerset Olympic Tower”, late Saturday night. This, as another branded hotel, disappointed us greatly, due to basic facilities not being available (we checked out). Upon arrival at the Somerset Olympic Tower, we were warmly received, by the front of house. Special thanks to ”Avery”, for her hospitality and for making us feel right at home, much appreciated. Note: Check in and check out, was effortless and prompt, the way it should be. Thank you. Our suite was exceptionally well equipped. A well layed out kitchen, with major (Fridge, Washing Machine) and minor appliances (Microwave) as well as cutlery and crockery. (Everything you need, for a long or short stay). The dining room had a table and chair set, suitable for family or friends. We enjoyed the lounge area as well, the sofa was comfortable and the area is well organised. There is an office area as well, should you require the use of a desk. The bedroom has a on suite bathroom, equiped with a bathtub / shower combination. We found the bed to be comfortable, with quality bedding on it. The suite has numerous windows, with clear city views. Breakfast (buffet) was excellent, with a great selection (Western and Chinese Style). The facilities are on international standard. Guests can enjoy a fully equiped professional gymnasium, and a heated swimming pool during their stay. Overall we were extremly satisfied with the service received, the facilities and the meals. We look forward to visiting the ”Somerset Olympic Tower” often, and in the near future.

Different from other guests' comments, I think the service attitude at the front desk is very good. It's just that the cleaning lady's standard is average. The next day I met her and she changed my towel. She gave me a hand towel with long hair on it (I changed it immediately after I found out). So much so that I didn't ask her to clean the room for the next few days. After entering the room on the day of check-in, the sunset was beautiful, but the corners of the room were all gray. And a lot of hair. The water in the shower was also blocked due to hair. So I thought that instead of the cleaning lady coming to clean it roughly, I might as well do it myself. The room is a comfort room. Although there are few pictures displayed in the hotel, the price is quite affordable. However, when I actually checked in, I found that the room looked like a nanny's room separated from the suite at home. The layout is very strange, and I asked for a quiet room. Ctrip also said that the hotel had confirmed it. But there is a person who owns his own house next door with two children. The soundproofing of the hotel is average. Except for sleeping at night, it is always noisy. The price range of subsequent rooms is basically negligible. I really want to change to a normal room, but I don't trust the cleaning lady's hygiene work, so I keep staying in this room. In such a tall building, there are only three elevators (some of the lights on the top of the building are broken, which makes it quite scary at night). There is no air conditioning in the elevator yet. The elevator occasionally convulses and suddenly stops. The phone in the room was just a decoration, and the wifi was not easy to use. Later, I used a set-top box as a hotspot to get wifi. At the time of booking, this was the best rated 4.7 points among Category 4 and 5 apartment hotels in Tianjin. In just a few days, it became 4.6 points. It can be seen that the overall standard of the hotel is average. The location of the hotel is pretty good, close to the subway and close to some attractions. The electrical appliances in the room can be said to be of high quality, and there is an integrated washing machine and dryer. This is so important for Tianjin with this weather!

These are service apartments, thus you have the benefit of an Apartment feel to it, with some benefits of a Hotel. The location is prime, as you are moments away from key landmarks and attractions. Our Apartment was very well kept, neat, clean and tidy. The units are well equipped, with all the basic appliances, such as Fridge / Freezer, Washing machine and Microwave. The apartment has a kitchenette, dining area, lounge, bedroom and bathroom. There is also a huge terrace with city views. The bathroom has a compact, yet very comfortable bathtub. The water temperature and pressure is perfect. Guests have access to the Gymnasium, Breakfast Lounge and Book Lounge. We will visit again in future.

The apartment is near the business trip company. I walk to work every day. The room has desks and chairs. The speed is OK. There is a restaurant and supermarket on the first floor. The room was nice, and the lady at the front desk upgraded the room with a wide view. The overall experience is good, but the sound insulation effect is average. The unqualified guest in the next room started singing at 6 o'clock in the morning, which made me speechless😓. Thanks for the hard work, the ladies at the front desk actively helped to solve the problem. I thought they were front desk staff, but it turned out that they actually went to work at 9 o'clock. It was really hard work~

I couldn’t imagine a better place to stay during my trip to Tianjin. Even before arriving the owner was extremely helpful with directions and made sure I had everything I needed to find and access the apartment. Just a few minutes walk from the closest subway station and surrounded by small supermarkets and restaurants. The apartment itself felt like home almost instantly, the facilities are great and the owner was always available to help. If I go back to Tianjin I’ll definitely return to it.

This is the most valuable hotel I have stayed in so far, and I am not going to add one for the time being. I chose this hotel for a three-day tour of Binhai New Area. In fact, it is an apartment hotel hidden in a residential area. So live comfortably. First of all, the parking lot on the first floor can park more than a dozen cars for free. Judging from the elevator water sign, there should be an underground parking lot. In addition, the supporting facilities in the hotel are also very complete. If it weren't for the delicious and spicy food outside every day, I would like to cook by myself. The master bedroom is very large, big bed room + cloakroom + large bathroom. It's so convenient. The location of the hotel is also good, close to k11, convenient for shopping and eating. I can give at least 4.8 out of 5 points for this three-day trip to Binhai New Area, of which 2 points are for accommodation, which is perfect.
