GGuest UserI'm giving a five-star review for a couple of very specific reasons. Yes, this hotel is beautiful, elegant, clean, conveniently located, affordable, and reasonably well appointed. However, a great review requires more than that. I stayed at the Grand Park twice in the last ten days: one night on my way to Mexico, and one night on my way back. My first night, going down, was pretty much awful. The room was lovely and clean and comfortable--but as soon as I lay down to sleep I could tell that it had at one time been a smoking room (the hotel is currently completely non-smoking). The odour would probably have been slight or negligible to most people, but I am one of those canaries who has become hyper-sensitive to scents and chemicals--not a situation I would wish on anyone. Additionally, there were people nearby making noise until 4:30 am, at which point I gave up trying to get any sleep at all. I received a request to review the hotel after that stay, but I held off, knowing I was going back. This time, when I checked in, I explained the problems I'd had. I asked if I might have a room that had never been a smoking room in an area with few or no other guests nearby. The Night Auditor was obviously genuinely concerned about the poor quality of my previous stay and absolutely intent on providing me with the best chance of a good stay this time around, and found me a new room. The room was again clean, beautifully appointed, and utterly quiet. There was no underlying odour indicating it had ever been a smoking room, and I fell asleep easily and had a deep and restful sleep. The same driver who had picked me up from the airport drove me there again that morning and we had a great conversation. It's clear he respects this Hotel as an employer which says a lot. We both agreed the Grand Park sign on the shuttle needs to be A LOT bigger as several of us thought we'd been stranded at the airport, never seeing the Grand Park shuttle, when in fact it had come around three times, with only the Comfort Inn door sign visible.  This is not an expensive hotel. It is not a new hotel either. And it's not one of the Big 5. It can't and shouldn't be held to those standards. But it's clean, comfortable, beautiful, affordable, safe, and well serviced with caring staff. And most important in my view, they course correct when they know there's a problem. That's the hotel equivalent of emotional intelligence, and that is the single most valuable currency of our time.

AAnonymous UserThe cabin was pretty good overall. Just something to keep in mind, if you're staying in a duplex, you'll want to pay attention to whether you get the top or bottom unit. This time we were in the bottom unit and it was a bit noisy; you could hear the sounds from upstairs. The bathtub was also a little worn and it was the only shower option. Aside from that, everything else was quite nice.

__WeChat38995****Facilities: There's a kitchenette, but I couldn't find any pots or pans in the room. Plus, the kitchen and bedroom are in the same space, so cooking wasn't really an option. Cleanliness: The hygiene was generally okay, but it definitely felt like an older hotel. Service: The service was great, with a 24-hour front desk that was very responsive to any questions or issues. Parking: The parking fee was absolutely outrageous 😱😱😱 It cost 46 for one day 🔪🔪😡😡. I definitely wouldn't recommend renting a car there if you're not planning to leave Vancouver.

GGaolidayingjinsimidaI've had my eye on this hotel for a while, and this time, when I came back to Vancouver, I splurged on two nights here. It was absolutely worth it! The hotel's main entrance is actually at the back, not facing the street. Breakfast isn't a buffet, but it's incredibly delicious. The stay was very comfortable, and there's a small balcony. Just a heads-up, it's really close to the next room, so you'll want to keep the curtains drawn. I'd definitely love to stay here again if I get the chance.

SSteven C KFor the price, it is very sufficient. Many aspects of the room felt outdated, but it was all fully functional and clean with no problems. Personally I prefer it this way since you get the savings and the function which is what really matter. Staff were all nice and I loved that I could check in at 2AM with staff available to assist me.

GGuest UserWe like: The personal was really nice. The wifi in our room did not work they upgraded us which was really great. Good location in term of food, everything walkable distance or not too far from public transportation! The mattresses are worn out, you always end in the center Unfortunately there is a pub next door and on week ends there is loud music until 3am. Won’t recommend this place on wee ends. Week is good!

GGuest UserPlace is located at the Main Street. Staffs are so friendly and fast in their service. Room is clean and the amenities are pretty complete (especially as family of four, the mini fridge, plates, spoons, knife, cups, microwave, are very helpful). The only unpleasant thing is we can hear our neighbors talking and they are pretty loud, but not during the night.

MMikki LizFirs of all, the receptionist was very friendly and had a big smile on her face during both check-in and check-out (it was the same lady), warm and nice lobby. Second, the room was smaller than I expected, smaller than what the website showed but it was clean. Third, when I arrived it was almost impossible to find a parking spot (see pic 4) because there were several hotels in the same area. I had to wait in my car for about 20 minutes until someone finally left so I could park and check in. Fourth, hotel parking is quite expensive $34 per night for self-parking and $39 for valet. The underground parking lot is right next to the garbage room (see pic 5) which was disgusting and horrible. I also saw two guys working in the parking area and they seemed really unfriendly. If they ever film another Conjuring series this could be a perfect location. To be fair, I did notice that several other 4 star hotels in Whistler have similar parking conditions: dark, old and dirty. Fifth, it was a bit cold at night and I tried to adjust the room temperature but it didn’t work. I mentioned this to the lady when I checked out. If you asked me if I would stay there again, probably NOT. The price is okay for the room and the location is very convenient there’s an Old Spaghetti Factory inside the hotel and several bars, restaurants and shops are just 5–10 minutes away on foot.

GGuest UserThe only upside was the central location. The Tunisian guy at the front desk who handled my check-out on the morning of the 11th was very handsome. Everything else was a major letdown. The room was extremely cramped, and there were no personal toiletries or slippers provided.

GGuest UserThe hotel was extremely busy, as it was a holiday weekend. The state of the hotel definitely showed an increase in volume and turnover. Our room, the entranceway, and the bathroom floor had white marks all over it. At first, it looked like a child walked into paint and then ran in and out of the room. However, with the smallest of elbow grease, I was able to remove most of the marks from the bathroom. In doing so, it looked more like dried oatmeal, but I couldn't be sure. My point is that it was impossible not to notice this mess and that someone made a conscious decision to leave it in this manner. They did this, knowing that it was a long weekend and that guests would be paying in some cases double what they normally would pay. At these prices, with taxes, fees, etc, we were over a grand for 2 nights. At these prices, you do expect the rooms to be in pristine condition. We had spoken to a staff member delivering towels to a nèar by room. He informed us that he would speak to his supervisor and that someone would be up shortly. At this point, it was late and we were at the end of a solid week of moving. We needed sleep more than anything. To the best of our knowledge, no one tried to reach us in regard to this issue. This is a beautiful hotel. However, more needs to be done to keep it that way.
