Art Deco Hotel Montana

The pictures are all views from the window. See the beautiful scenery of Lake Lucerne. Because it is this, we evaluate 5 stars. The hotel is 4 stars in size and has the same facilities as the domestic express hotel. The room is quite large in Switzerland. The balcony is very nice to see the lake. It takes 8 or 9 minutes to get to the lake. There are more places to eat around, and the bus is still close. Go to the hotel to take the little cable car. The breakfast variety is too small, 30 Swiss francs a person, it is really cheaper, it is the simplest breakfast in the entire Swiss itinerary. The breakfast restaurant can see the lake, it is still good. The overall layout of the hotel is very good, people like it very much, the hotel service is also very good. Specifically, the hotel has a shuttle bus, saying that it can only be sent to the bus station from the hotel, and then take the bus to the train station. The driver actually sent us directly to the train station that day, touching. Lucerne is not big, the hotel location is OK, and it is convenient to go anywhere.

The hotel deserves a perfect score! And the staff from Reception to Bolero restaurant a 6 our of 5! The friendly and informative greeting we received at check-in was superb. The bus tickets for Kriens/Pilatus is included for all guests and close by. The receptionist went even as far as walking us to the parking we had reserved (22CHF/day--worth it). We had room number 611 with a bay window on the top floor and it was very comfortable. They thought of everything from coffee machine to all small details a traveler might need. The location is very central!

Hotel location is fantastic. Less than 1 minute walk from the information center located from the train station. Hotel room is fine but the edges of the bed frame protrude out hence one needs to be more cautious. We arrive at 7pm on a Sunday evening and check in was quick. Will appreciate if WiFi password and Lucerne Visitor card are given upon check in instead of having to request for it. At 11pm, when i tried to input the WiFi username and password, it shows Credit used up. I called the reception for assistance and was told to come down to the reception. After going down, I was given another print out of the WiFi username and password. I do not understand why this cannot be communicated over the phone. Went back to the room, tried the new username and password and it still doesn't work. Only managed to login to the WiFi the following morning when I went to the reception and get another user ID and password. Not sure if this is common in Switzerland but this sure is my first encounter.
Ibis Budget Hotel Luzern City

Quite a walk from the train station. Recommend to take the bus if you have the Swiss Travel Pass. Take the number 4 from the Bahnhof, gets off right after crossed the bridge at Brunigstrasse. The first day I am only with 2 people so stayed in a triple room. The Shower room is directly open up to the bedroom with only frosted glass and no curtain. And sink is IN the bedroom so would have no place to change cloths. I guess it makes sense for any couple but kindly of odd for triple. The second day a friend joined so we move to a family room with a proper washroom which is much more ”family friendly” The hotel serve breakfast at a very low and nice price (in Swiss terms). Get hot water free at the lobby but no boiler in the room. For the best it provides microwave oven, so can get food from nearby Denner if you are on a budget. Be sure to get in line early cause there will be people lining up at around 6.

I only stayed for one night as a stopover, but the hotel is very close to the station, and I have already arrived when I got off the bus and crossed the road. There is no air-conditioning in winter, but opening the windows is good enough! The room as a whole is so clean! The staff at the front desk are very kind and answer all questions! And the hotel is 5 miles away from the scenic spots, just walking distance! Moreover, a small supermarket is opposite the hotel, and it only takes a few steps to buy snacks! And there is a D restaurant on the lower floor of the subway station! Overall, it is highly recommended for travelers who want to catch the train the next day.

The Staff was very friendly, one of them was Kevin (I Think), and also two other ladies also on the desk was very helpful in guiding us regarding our travel. We stayed for 3 days and the whole concept of the Hotel was different. We had an infant with us and wanted to change the room we were allotted and they readily agreed and luckily they had one bigger room with king size bed to accommodate them. The breakfast was regular and most importantly the staff being very nice and helpful, which has made an impression on us as this was the first time we traveled to this city. For the amount you pay for this Hotel in Lucerne, it's certainly very cheap for the services you get. It's based on a Theme so most of the rooms have bunker beds so even children would love it. Not much space inside the room or shelves to keep stuff. But then its a budget Hotel. Would stay again if I visit this city again. Its 8 minutes walk from the Station.

We were allowed to spend a night in the youth hostel with my class as a start in our competition. Breakfast was very praised by everyone and the rooms offered everything we needed. Thank you again very much for flexibility and spontaneity.

It was a decent stay overall. Location was a little too far out, but with the buses available it was still fine. A little too quiet at night. Room size was just alright. Was able to walk around freely. However, room was kind of dusty and dirty. Also, room has cigarette smell despite room is a non smoking room. Toilet is a little dark. Other than that, it is usable. Did not use the kitchenette so could not comment on that. Had to wait for a while to check in due to everyone checking in the same timing. Besides that, service is good. Lights were flickering. Upon bringing the matter up, someone came to fixed it. When mentioned about the cigarette smell in the room, air freshener was given.
Altstadt Hotel Krone Luzern

We stayed for two nights during our honeymoon trip and this was one of the most enjoyable hotels we stayed at in Switzerland. The location is perfect, quiet quaint street in walking distance to everything you want to see in downtown Lucerne. We had the top floor room which had a wonderful rooftop balcony with a great view of Lucern. The bed was comfortable, the hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the breakfast spread was wonderful. We loved to sit by the window at breakfast and enjoy the view and there was hardly anyone there when breakfast started. The only hiccup was that the steam from a hot shower apparently set the fire alarms for the entire hotel off two mornings in a row. The second morning we were extra careful to circulate air and turn the heat down but it still happened. The staff seemed surprised so they will probably address this. One suggestion would be to have an electric kettle and mugs for tea/instant coffee/cocoa in the room or at least available upon request.
The Lubo - Self Check-in

Positives * Helpful and quick remote service. They helped arrange our requested extra pillows before arrival. They also arranged to send us the Lucerne visitor pass by email two days before arrival. There were some spiders in the rooms that were quickly removed for us. We also had an issue with the air conditioner that was quickly fixed while we were out. * Attractive modern and practical design. * The organic bathroom amenities set by local brand is a nice touch. * There are supermarkets and shops nearby. You must try the freshly baked pastries from Aux Merveilleux de Fred in the morning. The chocolate cramique is delicious as it comes out of the oven. * We requested a quiet room and were assigned on the 5th floor. It was nice and quiet and we could easily access the room using the lift. To be improved: * A microwave would be great to heat up food. Placing one in the common laundry room could also help. * There were no instructions on how to use the electrical stove top and other equipment in the room. This info would be good to add in the Lubo app. * A sponge is provided in the kitchen but there is no dishwashing detergent. There are not enough additional dishes to make use of the dishwasher. A small dish drying tray would be useful in the kitchen too. * The mirror near the entrance needs lighting. The shower area is also too dark. * The body soap was not placed in the shower. It was in the kitchen instead. * The air conditioner made a strange noise from time to time. * The water pressure and temperature of the shower was not stable.
