Hotel near Perimeter of Haikou Airport/Mission Hill/East Coast,Haikou

This is my second stay at the Meilan Airport Hotel. I checked in a night early from Lingshui because I had an early morning flight from Haikou to Singapore. **Service:** The hotel's airport shuttle starts at 4:30 AM. I took the 5 AM shuttle to T2, which was very convenient. My 7:30 AM flight meant I didn't have to rush to the airport too early. **Environment:** The hotel has many rooms and a 'U' shaped corridor. The room I got was a good distance from the elevator. It's also not far to walk to the high-speed train station, about a 10-minute walk. If you arrive late at night, some guests can be quite loud and inconsiderate, making it a bit noisy. **Cleanliness:** It was quite clean, with disposable slippers and separate slippers for the shower. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation, and bottled toiletries are provided, so you don't need to bring your own. **Facilities:** Bottled water is provided, and you can choose your pillow. The bed's firmness was just right. For an overnight stay near the airport, this is my top choice. In the morning, I checked out early and, in my haste, left my phone charger in the room. I only realized I'd forgotten it at airport security. I called the hotel front desk, and they kindly held onto it for me. I picked it up when I returned from Singapore. Many thanks to them!

Our first family room had a damp smell, but the front desk manager kindly helped us switch to another family room facing the sea. The service was attentive, and the room was clean. Breakfast had a decent variety, and the environment was pleasant. The water park wasn't open yet, and the ocean park didn't have much to do besides taking photos. It was off-season, so there weren't many people. The kids' world is still under construction. There's a food street near the hotel, making dining quite convenient. The hotel also offers a paid mini-train ride that takes you around the hotel for 40 minutes at 15 yuan per ride, which is worth it. There's Twin Beach near the Hilton, which is great for watching the sunset. If the island's facilities improve further, I would definitely visit again.

After our trip to Shimei Bay, we arrived at the hotel with my entire family, including young children and elderly parents, along with several large suitcases. We were understandably quite tired from the journey. Upon arrival, it was clear that the hotel had a significant shortage of staff both inside and outside the lobby – a stark contrast to Shimei Bay, where service personnel were readily available everywhere. Although there weren't many guests checking in at the time, and the scene wasn't particularly busy, given our large group and numerous bags, I had to proactively request a luggage cart to make things easier. For a resort hotel that prides itself on the guest experience, the initial service response would be much better if it were more proactive and if staffing levels were more adequate. Regarding the room, the promotional pictures I saw when booking showed a sea-facing view with a visible beach. However, the actual view from our room was quite different from what we expected. While we could see the sea in the distance, our primary view was of the hotel's pool area, and the beach wasn't visible at all. The visual impression didn't match the promotional images. During the Chinese New Year period, the hotel organized various activities, some free and some with a charge, which is understandable. However, it was quite surprising to find that even digging for sand crabs on the public beach area required an additional fee. Compared to the hotel we stayed at previously in Shimei Bay, the activity planning here was indeed a bit lackluster. On the bright side, the breakfast was excellent. There was a rich variety of options, especially the Pandan Tofu Pudding, Pandan Pancakes, and various Hainan noodles. These were not only distinctive but also delicious, adding a wonderful culinary delight to our mornings. What truly impressed us was the mature food scene around the hotel. From Coconut Chicken, Wenchang Chicken, Ding'an Jumping Beef (which can be hotpot or BBQ), Baoluo Noodles, Hainan Noodles, to all sorts of desserts and snacks – the choices were incredibly diverse. This added a lot of local flavor and memorable gastronomic experiences to our trip. The hotel's beach area itself was quite good. The sea breeze, sand quality, and the overall experience were very relaxing and comfortable.

Facilities: The facilities are relatively new. My only complaint is that the twin room's bathroom has a glass wall that can't be fully obscured. Environment: Quite quiet. Service: The front desk staff were very polite and their service was excellent! The hotel's breakfast standard is also very high, with a wide variety of food! The hotel has an underground parking garage.

Facilities: The facilities are quite comprehensive, with a swimming pool and a water park. The kids had a blast, and the staff were very responsible, helping to look after them. If you need to leave for a short time, you can ask the water park staff to watch your children, and they do a great job. However, I couldn't find a self-service laundry area, so if you're staying for an extended period, you'll need to figure out your own laundry. There are very few charging stations; only a few above ground, and the underground parking only has dedicated Tesla chargers. The staff weren't very clear on this; we circled around several times without finding any, and only after asking customer service were we told there weren't any. Later, needing to charge urgently, we had to go to Dajiao Park for a fast charge. The hotel has a restaurant, and the prices are reasonable. You can also go to Changhua Town to eat; there's a small shop there that serves more than just noodles, and their dishes are delicious. The owner is very welcoming, and things aren't expensive. They even have my favorite pea and minced pork noodles. Environment: The environment is great, the scenery is beautiful, and it's very close to the beach, perfect for clamming. Hygiene: Clean and tidy, and trash was promptly removed. The day before, the breakfast had pancakes, and they had made a lot. A guest saw a fly land on them, so the staff threw them all into the trash. The next day, there was a chef making them fresh on the spot, so hygiene is definitely assured. Service: If you need anything, you can contact the front desk, and a service staff member will respond quickly. We brought our child and requested extra blankets and drinking water, which were all delivered for free. There's a third-party photographer, but their skill level is very average. Just take the complimentary photos; don't choose extra photos for fine-tuning, as they look like fake Photoshop jobs. Their skill really isn't good.

Facilities: So-so, but the pool was nice. Cleanliness: Decent, pretty standard. Environment: The surroundings are good, though there's some construction nearby. Dining: Breakfast was very average, but considering the room rate wasn't high, it's acceptable. Service: Our butler, Victoria, provided excellent service! She was diligent, attentive, gentle, lovely, kind, considerate, and hardworking! Thumbs up! My overall experience would have been around 3.5 stars, but because of Victoria, I'm giving it a five-star rating! Wishing Victoria all the best in her work!

Seems to be the hotel is ready to be renovated. Room was very clean. Staff gave all necessary information. But… we arrived by taxi from Baisha, and supposed to be taken to Baoting as a next destination. To call a taxi to the hotel took around one hour. Yes, we got some help, but is was mostly “talking”, not actual actions to be taken. No hotel’s car are available. So, plan how you are going to get out from this place in advance.

The lady at the executive lounge contacted us in advance and arranged a spacious, high-floor room with a breathtaking view. She patiently answered all our questions and even sent us locations for delicious food, which was much more reliable than what you find on Xiaohongshu! They also kindly offered a complimentary late check-out. The front desk service was incredibly welcoming, and checking in on the 35th floor was a unique experience. The overall stay was absolutely fantastic! 👍

This guesthouse has a great environment, very close to the beach, and fully equipped with a communal pool. It's clean and tidy, with two large Sanya characters (likely a landmark or decorative feature). The room offers a 180-degree sea view. The service is excellent, and communication was timely and effective. It's perfect for photos on a good day, and the lobby is also very photogenic! They even made us some refreshing new drinks.

GGuest UserWe had a few issues at first, but after some communication and coordination, everything was resolved wonderfully. They even upgraded us to a Red-crowned Crane room type, allowing both families to stay together, which made us very happy with the outcome. First, let's talk about the hotel's advantages: 1. The restaurant is fantastic, with an excellent view. While the food selection isn't vast, the quality is top-notch. I tend to have high standards for hotel breakfast, and considering both the ambiance and quality here, I was very satisfied. 2. The shuttle service is incredibly responsive. The hotel feels like it's spread across the entire mountain, so you rely on the shuttles to get around. They're fast and comfortable. 3. The room views are superb, and the rooms are very clean. The mini-fridge is complimentary, and the amenities are comprehensive. It would be even better if the drinking water wasn't Nongfu Spring. Here are a few suggestions: The gathering areas need some maintenance; I noticed some broken stair treads. Since the hotel is quite spread out, there should be more staff to ensure service. Also, better communication between housekeeping and the front desk could prevent many information delays. And honestly, the glass skywalk was a total rip-off – it was scorching hot and exhausting to walk on. You can skip these attractions and just enjoy the hotel itself.

GGuest UserThis stay at Yalong Bay Welcoming Hotel truly exceeded my expectations! It's just a 5-minute walk to the private white sand beach, where the fine sand and gentle waves are incredibly therapeutic. The breakfast at the underwater restaurant was absolutely divine; eating while surrounded by schools of fish was a double treat for both sight and taste. The butler service was available throughout my stay, proactively addressing my needs and even delivering welcome fruits – the attention to detail was exceptional. The room was spacious and clean, with direct access to the pool, which was super convenient. Plus, it's right next to Baihuagu Commercial Street, so all my dining, drinking, and shopping needs were met in one place. I'll definitely be back!

SShiqingqingiI was a bit hesitant when choosing a hotel in Haitang Bay, especially after seeing some negative reviews about the InterContinental Haitang Bay. However, I really like the InterContinental brand, so I booked it with some trepidation. Now I'm lying here at the MGM in Yalong Bay, but I deeply regret not just staying at the InterContinental for my entire vacation. Let me share my thoughts on the InterContinental Haitang Bay. **Facilities:** 1. The public areas aren't huge, and there aren't many pools, but they are incredibly clean, and there are a lot of lifeguards. Pool floats, baby floats, and inflatable paddleboards are all provided for free. The towels by the pool are also very warm. The cleanliness is evident; I constantly saw staff cleaning. 2. You need to wear socks in the kids' indoor play area. If you forget, you can buy them at the entrance. All family activities are also held in this area. I saw staff cleaning the ball pit and tidying up the play area at night. 3. The large lawn outside leads directly to the beach. Besides lifeguards, there are staff members specifically responsible for kids' sand toys. Even after 9 PM on the beach, I saw staff meticulously cleaning every single sand toy. **Cleanliness:** The hygiene here is truly exceptional. Throughout my two-day stay, I continuously saw staff cleaning. **Room:** I stayed in an ocean-view room, where the bed faced the sea as soon as you opened the door. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and the air conditioning was incredibly quiet. Regarding the construction noise from the nearby site that everyone's been discussing, yes, it's there. However, it's within legal construction hours, and the soundproofing in the room is excellent. With the balcony door closed, you can barely hear it, even though my room was on the side closer to the construction. **Service:** From the moment I checked in, I felt the warm service from every staff member. Communication with our butler, Winnie, was also very smooth. She contacted me a day in advance to confirm my check-in time and clearly listed the extra amenities she could provide. When I checked into my room, everything was already set up for me (at MGM, they only contacted me a day in advance and didn't proactively offer anything; I had to ask for the children's toilet seat and toilet cover). Whenever I had any questions at the hotel, the butler responded immediately. She would also inform me in advance if she was going off duty. Even for room cleaning, she would ask us what time was convenient and if we had any requests. She truly was a personal butler. **Location:** It's very close to the duty-free shop, which makes it convenient for both shopping and dining. **Gym:** The cardio equipment all had towels and water, it was very clean, and there were no strange odors – I really liked it. In short, now that I'm at MGM, I really miss my two-day stay at the InterContinental Haitang Bay. Next time, I wouldn't hesitate to choose the InterContinental Haitang Bay for my entire vacation. There are many other things I can't think of right now, but I'll add them later if they come to mind.

GGuest UserThis stay exceeded all my expectations, I have to give it a perfect score! I was a bit worried at first because of some negative reviews online, but once we checked in, I found the hotel service to be absolutely fantastic. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, completely dispelling any of the issues mentioned in those bad reviews. We stayed in a Club Deluxe Seaview Room, which was very comfortable. We even got a room upgrade at check-in, moving straight into a seaview room. Opening the window to that stunning ocean view was so expansive and calming, it instantly lifted my spirits. The hotel grounds are very spacious and beautifully landscaped, creating a relaxing vacation vibe everywhere you go. It's especially great for families with children, as the facilities are very kid-friendly, making it super easy to entertain the little ones. The breakfast selection was incredibly rich, with fresh and delicious food that could satisfy anyone's dietary needs. We were very satisfied. They even had baby food available for the little ones. I also want to give a special shout-out to our butler, Bella. Her service was incredibly prompt and responsive. Whether it was answering questions or fulfilling requests, she was always quick, patient, and her attitude was gentle and thoughtful. She helped us so much throughout our stay, making the entire experience exceptionally smooth and comfortable. Overall, the stay was excellent. The environment, service, and food were all top-notch. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, especially families with children.

GGuest UserI travel for business a lot, and most of the time I choose Hilton. The Hilton Haikou has an excellent location and unbeatable views of the bay. You can see the entire Haikou Bay area, and even the long West Coast. You can enjoy the beautiful sunset from your room. Room service is prompt and thoughtful. There's a big exhibition these days, so it's very crowded, but the hotel's service and reception are well-organized, maintaining its consistently high quality!

GGuest UserFacilities: For a family-friendly hotel, the dedicated range of amenities for children really made a great impression. There was a whole sheet of options to choose from – I forgot to take a picture, but suffice to say, it had everything you could possibly imagine, which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel offers a wide selection of dining options. The set meal prices at the Chinese restaurant were excellent value for money, and the food quality was great. The seafood barbecue buffet for dinner was also very satisfying; the salmon was fresh, and there was an abundance of various seafood until you were stuffed. The fruits were super sweet, and I had several plates. I ate all my meals at the hotel during my two-day stay. The kids' club is quite large, but it's probably better suited for older children. For younger babies, there are other hotel activities available, as the hotel offers a rich variety of children's activities every day. Environment: Although you can't swim in the sea, you can go clamming safely after the tide recedes, which offers a different kind of experience. Service: This absolutely deserves full marks. This was my first time staying at a hotel where, when I asked for directions, any staff member I approached would enthusiastically lead me to the right elevator or intersection. Everyone's training was spot-on, from the F&B department to the concierge. I also want to commend the housekeeping team and our butler, Chris, who promptly responded to my questions and needs. Even after checking out, I had to bother Chris about a forgotten item, and it was no trouble at all. Seriously, out of all the hotels I've stayed at, I am truly impressed with their impeccable service. Ctrip shared airport transfer: Yes, the hotel also provides airport transfer, which is super convenient! Many hotels offer this, but I'd never tried it before. This time, traveling with elderly family members and a child, I decided to give it a go, and the driver's attitude was excellent. It was a very satisfying trip.

GGuest UserEnvironment: As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the sunset and a refreshing ocean breeze. The hotel is absolutely stunning and massive! The coconut groves, lawns, pool, and sandy beach provide endless photo opportunities – it's just amazing! The room has a small balcony, and when you open the door, the view is expansive. Facilities: They had a baby playpen and bathtub ready for me. Although some online reviews mentioned the facilities being a bit old, everything I needed was there. Hot water was fine, hairdryer worked well. The only minor issue was the air conditioning wasn't very cold, but it was still acceptable. The small balcony was perfect for drying clothes quickly, which was very convenient. Hygiene: There were notices on the table about geckos, ants, and insects, but I didn't encounter any bugs during my stay. The cleaning staff were also very efficient. With all my baby's things making a bit of a mess, the auntie quickly tidied everything up for me. Service: My requests were met very quickly! I called for band-aids, to have dishes cleared, for room cleaning, to order a kids' meal, and for a late check-out – all were handled promptly! A special shout-out to Butler Tudou (Potato) – incredibly enthusiastic, proactive, and provided excellent service! Also, the staff at the pool area were very warm and patient, and they even helped me inflate my swim ring for free. Another highlight was the complimentary Magnolia photoshoot. The photographer was very professional. I just told him what I wanted, and he quickly found suitable locations and patiently helped me set up props. I initially thought the five complimentary photos would be enough, but after seeing the final shots, I didn't hesitate to pay for more. They made a perfect gift for my baby's first birthday 🎁. The breakfast and buffet dinner included in the package offered a rich variety of options and tasted great. The noodles for breakfast really suited a Hunan palate, and there were various snacks. Dinner was a DIY hotpot buffet, so we didn't eat out at all these past few days, even though it seems there's a food street nearby, haha. There were also some parent-child activities, but my baby was too young to participate. Overall, it exceeded my expectations. For a family trip, it offers great value for money.

GGuest UserFive-star full marks! ✨ Atlantis Sanya is absolutely worth it! Overall Experience: A perfect score, definitely my top choice for a Sanya vacation. The stay far exceeded my expectations. The hotel itself is luxurious and grand. The giant aquarium in the lobby creates an amazing atmosphere, and every photo taken looks like it's from a magazine. The room I stayed in had a fantastic view, directly facing the stunning seascape of Haitang Bay. Waking up to the sea breeze and sunshine was incredibly comfortable. Room Cleanliness: The room was clean, tidy, and spacious. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the toiletries had a sophisticated scent. The attention to detail was evident. The staff were gentle, attentive, and responded quickly to requests. The entire experience was excellent. Most Satisfying: The unlimited access to the Aquaventure Waterpark and The Lost Chambers Aquarium included with the stay was incredible value for money. The water park rides were thrilling and fun, and the aquarium offered close-up views of various marine creatures, creating a dreamy and therapeutic atmosphere. The C Show performance was also stunning and impressive. It's truly enjoyable for all ages. All dining and entertainment options can be found within the hotel, and the facilities are comprehensive and convenient. It's perfectly suited for both family trips and leisure vacations. The experience was impeccable, and I genuinely recommend it. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Sanya!

EErdongqiaqiayouRated 80, this hotel offers great value for money. Pros: The public areas are spacious and beautiful, seemingly well-maintained. There are three pools: a kids' pool, a heated adult pool, and an infinity pool. The beach bar has a really pleasant atmosphere. I booked a Grand Club sea-view room. While you can see the ocean from the room, there's also a construction site visible, so the view might need a bit of 'mental filtering,' but it's still good. Everything you'd expect is provided. I particularly liked the scent of their toiletries and body lotion – it's Pullman brand, very pleasant and soothing. Breakfast was just okay; nothing amazing, but nothing terrible either. I really enjoyed their papaya; it had absolutely none of that strange 'papaya' taste and was very sweet. I'm not usually a fan of papaya, but I ate several slices and thought I'd developed a liking for it. Then my friend bought one downstairs that had a strong papaya flavor, and I couldn't eat it. We also tried the complimentary hot pot buffet, served in the same restaurant as breakfast. The seafood selection was limited to shrimp, razor clams, chicken legs, some conch, and crabs. There was some meat as well. The best part was cooking their raw Hainanese chicken yourself; don't bother with the pre-cooked one! We also dined at their Yu Village restaurant. In terms of value for money, it was average. The price matches the taste – it was good, but not worth making a special trip for. It's a good option if you're staying at the hotel and don't feel like going out. I recommend their salt-baked chicken; it even comes with a presentation ritual that's a bit embarrassing for introverts. Overall, the service was genuinely good, which is why they received a score of 80. We're the type of guests who ask for a lot – we needed things for social media posts, and band-aids, and they provided everything. Their handling of a subsequent complaint was also a huge plus. The travel photoshoot turned out pretty well too; at least we got some free photos. My sister and I went with our husbands but didn't rely on them for photos, and that mindset proved to be absolutely correct. The hotel's travel photography service, as long as you're sensible when selecting photos, can totally resolve family disputes using the free entitlement – it's brilliant. Cons: There were a lot of mosquitoes and ants. We were lying by the pool, and small insects were crawling onto us. Small flies also emerged from the welcome fruit the hotel provided – it wasn't that the fruit was old, it was just there. Some of the hardware needs improvement. Upon check-in, I noticed the sealant in the shower was peeling. They fixed it quite quickly after we reported it. Later, while swimming, I pushed off the pool wall and found it quite rough and scraped my foot, so you need to be careful. Many of the poolside loungers had mold stains on their covers. The entire hotel also lacks an indoor pool; all are outdoors. The hotel's air conditioning was extremely ineffective. If you're even slightly sensitive to heat, staying in the room with the AC on full blast still felt warm. We also called for this to be fixed. The staff measured it and said it was normal, but it was genuinely hot. I mean, we've stayed in other hotels with AC, but if they say it's normal, then we'll just say it's cooler than outside. After our room was cleaned on the second day, we returned from swimming to find a fingerprint-shaped stain on the towel hanging on the outside handle of the shower. It was absurd; I don't think that should ever happen at a Grand Hyatt – it's a hygiene issue. However, we were on vacation, and the incident had already occurred. Of course, I was angry at the moment, but since it happened, my priority was their attitude and explanation, and ultimately, compensation. This is where their service and complaint handling come into play again. It was truly prompt and professional. Feedback was received immediately, and they came to resolve it right away. Subsequently, a manager called to apologize, and they didn't just string me along with a good attitude but no 'sincerity' (you can refer to my previous review of Hotel X for comparison). Grand Hyatt genuinely provided some compensation we needed, including car service to our next hotel and dining vouchers. Upon check-out, they even gave me a set of their toiletries, which I loved. I was surprised they knew I liked them, as I hadn't mentioned it at all. They also promised a room upgrade if we stayed with them again in the future. The entire process was handled gracefully, resolving the problem and regaining our favor. Overall, the public areas and pools of Grand Hyatt Haitang Bay are excellent, the service and after-sales support are outstanding, and the value for money is good. It's suitable for those who prioritize experience and have high service expectations. Although there were minor flaws with insects, hardware, AC, and hygiene, the responsible after-sales service makes the overall vacation experience still highly recommendable.
