This was my first trip to Harbin, and I booked a riverside hotel near the Songhua River on Ctrip. My stay at the Harbin Habsburg River View Hotel (St. Sophia Church branch) was overwhelmingly positive, especially regarding the service and breakfast. From the greeters and front desk staff to the restaurant team, everyone was consistently described as 'warm, attentive, and caring,' making it feel just like home. They even offered complimentary access to the executive lounge, which truly showed how thoughtful and considerate the hotel is. The breakfast was incredibly rich and featured local specialties. What really stood out was the long serving time, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, allowing us to sleep in and enjoy it as a brunch – a luxury usually only found in international resort hotels. The variety was impressive, including Northeastern dishes like 'kill-pig' stew, chicken stew with mushrooms, 'Guo Bao Rou' (sweet and sour pork), iron pot stew, frozen pears, and Kvas, along with Lanzhou beef noodles, wontons, tofu pudding, and big bone stews. The hotel's location is also excellent. It's about a 10-minute walk (500 meters) to Central Street, the Flood Control Monument, and the Chinese Eastern Railway Bridge. St. Sophia Church and Daoli Market are within a 2-kilometer walk. Directly across from the hotel is the entrance to the Songhua River Cableway. We stayed on the 11th floor in a high-level river view room, offering distant views of the river and Swan Castle. The night view was truly beautiful. The room was well-equipped with a humidifier (essential in dry Northeast China), heated eye masks, sleep earplugs, a foot bath, bath salts, and charging cables. They also provided a complimentary fruit platter and snacks daily, and the bottled water was from Quanyangquan. This hotel is a 'service-driven' choice offering excellent value for money. With its thoughtful service, abundant breakfast, and convenient location, the Habsburg is definitely worth choosing. I would absolutely stay here again on my next visit to Harbin and would even recommend it to friends.

This was my first time staying at a hotel in Harbin, and I must say the facilities and service were top-notch. The bed, as always, was incredibly comfortable – I slept wonderfully. The rooftop bar at night had a great ambiance, offering fantastic views of Harbin's night cityscape and the river. The breakfast was a rich mix of Chinese and Western options, with plenty of variety. From check-in to check-out, all the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, often striking up conversations with me. My holiday experience was excellent! I'll definitely choose to stay here again.

Excellent! Great location, right on Central Street. The service was fantastic, and the hotel environment and design are beautiful. We arrived early, and they let us check in ahead of time. They offer afternoon tea and breakfast, both of which were great. They even gave us a souvenir when we left! If I get the chance to visit Harbin again, I'll definitely stay here! ✌

The room facilities are top-notch and impeccably clean, which put me at ease. The front desk staff were professional, escorting guests to their rooms and meticulously demonstrating how to use various amenities – truly thoughtful and attentive. Service was prompt whenever called upon, and the parking attendant outside proactively helped with luggage, all with a friendly demeanor. The hotel's afternoon tea was exquisite, and the ambiance was cozy (as pictured). The location is superb, making it very convenient to get around by taxi, subway, or even walk to Central Street. Overall, the hotel genuinely felt like a home away from home. I'll definitely be back.

I chose this hotel after reading many reviews that mentioned views of St. Sophia Cathedral from the room windows. However, I was a bit disappointed as the view from the window was actually the Daoli wet market around the corner. Overall, the room itself was very ordinary. Since the hotel lobby is on the 6th floor, there was no baggage assistance. The ground floor was deserted, and there were only stairs, no ramp or elevator to bring luggage up. It was quite tiring for us – an elderly person, a child, and a woman – to carry two large suitcases up. The high score is solely because the breakfast was genuinely good. Besides Chinese and Western options, all the typical Northeast specialties were available, and they even varied the dishes over the two days, so the main specialties weren't repeated. I stayed in Harbin for four days, but only two of those were at this hotel; I then moved to a hotel with better service.

After staying here, I feel it's worth writing a few words. Before choosing this hotel, I actually hesitated a bit. A five-diamond rating paired with a relatively low price made me a little unsure. After one night, I realized my worries were unfounded. This hotel fully lives up to its five-diamond standard, paying extreme attention to customer privacy and etiquette. It's truly a luxurious yet cost-effective choice. The room was thoughtfully arranged; I was particularly impressed by the vase on the table. My first impression upon entering was cleanliness and brightness. A front desk attendant helped introduce the room and carry my luggage. The central air conditioning and central boiler system operated quietly, maintaining a comfortable room temperature. The shower pressure was stable, without the common hot-and-cold fluctuations found in older hotels. On the nightstand, there was a capsule coffee machine. Waking up in the morning, I'd press a button and leisurely stand by the window while waiting for the coffee – a truly relaxing moment. The bathroom was equipped with a smart bidet toilet, which was a pleasant surprise at this price point. The heated seat was very friendly for those with hemorrhoids, showing great attention to detail. Regarding dining, the room rate included a buffet breakfast and afternoon tea. The breakfast variety wasn't extravagant, but it had everything necessary – a choice of Chinese or Western set meal, fried rice, bread, fruit, salad, and beverages. The quality of vegetables and fruits was guaranteed, as shown in picture one, indicating excellent quality control. It was a satisfying meal. The afternoon tea was complimentary; enjoying a cup of tea with a couple of pastries and cookies during a break was neither perfunctory nor half-hearted. Overall, the price, including these two meals, offered genuine value for money. Service was a major highlight, especially for a five-diamond hotel. The front desk staff left a deep impression. From check-in to asking questions later, their demeanor was consistently gentle and patient. They kindly inquired about your needs; it wasn't a standard, trained smile, but rather a feeling that they were genuinely listening to you. They helped carry luggage all the way to the room and then thoroughly introduced the room's furnishings, explaining everything meticulously. While I don't know the staff member's name, I believe most of the service personnel exhibit such excellent attitudes. Solid hardware, warm service, and reasonable prices. There weren't any over-the-top experiences, but every detail made you feel that the money was well spent. If your budget falls within this range, it offers excellent value for money. This hotel is also not far from the exhibition center, making it worth a try.

The room view was absolutely amazing! We had so much fun with the '潑水成冰' (literally 'splashing water into ice') game! Sitting by the window, with the curtains open, we could see the beautiful snowscape outside and even watched fireworks set off by other hotel guests 🧨. The facilities are great, and I loved the toiletries—L'Occitane products, a big plus! 👍 Oh, and the owner provided plenty of teacups and tea sets in the room, which was really convenient... The restaurant the owner recommended also had delicious food! 👍

This hotel, over a century old, boasts a rich historical ambiance with its Tsarist Russian court design. The lobby is resplendent and dazzling, featuring crystal chandeliers, oil paintings, wine cabinets, and an ornate wrought-iron garden, all showcasing the luxury of the Russian aristocracy. I even donned a 19th-century outfit to experience what it felt like to be a Countess. The hotel service was impeccable. Upon check-in, someone immediately guided us on a tour and provided explanations, including a ride in the century-old elevator. Our luggage was delivered directly to our room, and they were incredibly accommodating, helping us take photos in the court costumes without any hesitation. When we checked out, they even brought our bags to the car – truly doorstep service, highly commendable! This is a highly recommended hotel that is well worth experiencing.

GGuest UserWhat's it like to be a ”castle owner” for a night? The Sun Island Castle Hotel, located on the scenic banks of the Songhua River, boasts a charming European architectural style. The first floor is home to various small eateries, while the entire second floor is dedicated to the hotel guest rooms. From the third floor, you can directly access the cross-river cable car, and the fourth floor houses the Chocolate Castle Museum. This museum features an incredibly diverse collection of chocolates, and outside, there's an observation deck – a superb spot to admire the Songhua River's night view. The hotel's location is excellent, offering incredibly convenient transportation. Besides the cable car, you can also take a cruise ship across the river. The sightseeing bus also stops here, making it easy to visit all the attractions on Sun Island, with the freedom to hop on and off as you please. This time, I stayed in the most affordable ”Viscount Interior Room.” The room was spacious and well-equipped, with furnishings that truly captured the grand essence of a castle. The only minor drawback was the lack of a window, meaning I couldn't enjoy the natural scenery outside – a small regret. It's worth noting that, compared to the opulent guest rooms, the hotel's front desk seemed a bit understated. The small reception counter is tucked away in a corner on the first floor, which felt a little out of sync with the ”Chocolate Castle” theme. Personally, I suggest designing the front desk in the shape of chocolate and having the reception staff wear more distinctive attire. Wouldn't that better align with the magical theme of this place? Overall, this was a surprisingly delightful stay, highly recommended for those who appreciate unique hotels.

YYanggaomeinvTraveling to Harbin with my child, our first stop was the Xana Hotel (Harbin Central Street Sophia Church). The hotel's location is perfect, situated in the middle-north section of Central Street, making it incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. Zhaolin Park is just 100 meters east, across the street, and the main Central Street is 50 meters west. St. Sophia Cathedral is about 500-800 meters away on foot. The hotel lobby was super cozy, offering a stamp check-in and afternoon tea. The staff provided excellent service. Since I hadn't planned my trip and decided to go last minute, I asked about Harbin's specialties. They even added me on WeChat and sent me a guide to dining, entertainment, and attractions around the hotel. The breakfast was incredibly rich, meeting all the nutritional needs (meat, eggs, milk, fruit) required for traveling with a child. On the day of check-out, I decided last minute to take some travel photos with my child near St. Sophia, which delayed our check-out time. The staff kindly extended our check-out until 2 PM for free. All in all, our first stop in Harbin made us feel so warm. If you're staying around Central Street, Xana is definitely the best choice!!! I've already recommended it to many friends since returning to Beijing. 😙😙😙

WWOSIKYI was pleasantly surprised by this hotel! Originally, I booked it as a transitional stay between 1903 and Aoluguya. But the room gave me the impression that the owner only wants to make money in winter – is this really what you get for 300 RMB? The hardware is top-notch, and the bedding is super comfortable. You can tell there are thoughtful touches throughout the hotel, like the bathtub door that opens and closes to suit different guests, and you can even watch TV while soaking. The small courtyard is also lovely with a little pond, which I imagine would be fun for a dip in the summer. The slippers were comfy too. I actually missed breakfast because the bed was so comfortable I just slept right through it 😂. There's one minor complaint: the sink faucet doesn't have an aerator, but the bathtub faucet does. It doesn't really affect anything though. The toilet isn't electric, but personally, I'm not bothered by those things, and a non-electric toilet actually fits the hotel's overall style quite well. Overall, even though it was an upgraded room type, the biggest difference between room types is just the size, but the price difference isn't huge. I'm definitely willing to pay a bit more for a better stay. Even though it's next to the street, it's very quiet. I'd definitely choose this hotel again in the future; it's genuinely good.
