The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the JR station, and popular attractions like the Hida Takayama Old Town are just a 10-minute walk away. Coming back to the hotel for a relaxing hot spring bath in the evening was wonderful. The hotel's breakfast was also quite good. Highly recommended!
This is a well-established, classic hotel. As foreign tourists, we definitely took advantage of local resources here. The Chinese restaurant inside isn't really worth trying, but unfortunately, it was the only option available for reservations on the day we stayed. The hot springs, however, were fantastic; it was lovely to quietly enjoy the beauty of fewer people during the off-season. Breakfast was also very good, and all the guests were polite and queued orderly, which made for a harmonious atmosphere – something I hope all travelers can experience. To the right of the main entrance, there are geta (wooden clogs) you can try on, and a short walk to the nearby river leads to a hot spring footbath, which was very pleasant.
The location is good, not far from Takayama Station and the old town area. You can easily walk to important spots in the city, such as the Miyagawa morning market, convenience stores, and yakiniku restaurants. There is a parking lot for guests. The receptionists can speak English well. There is online check-in in advance, so the actual check-in at the hotel does not take long, although it can take a bit longer during busy periods. The room is quite spacious. Everything else is standard for a hotel. The hotel has a public hot spring bath with good quality water, but it was very busy during the time I went. The lobby downstairs has ice, a microwave, and a coin-operated water dispenser. The breakfast is varied and tasty.
The location is incredibly convenient, just a 300-meter walk from both JR Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Terminal. What's amazing is that despite being so close, it's not noisy at all. It's an easy stroll even with luggage, which is a huge plus for travelers transferring.
The hotel is quite new, and the lobby boasts an artistic design, making it a great spot for photos. The rooms are equipped with a table and chairs, and feel much more spacious compared to hotels in Japan's larger cities.
It's also convenient to walk to the old town and popular sights for dining. If you head in the opposite direction, there's a large supermarket easily accessible via an underpass.
The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. They even helped me resolve some minor issues I encountered during my trip, which was incredibly thoughtful.
Check-in is from 3 PM, and you can store your luggage on the ground floor beforehand.
Loved this hotel. Felt like a spa with rhe common hot bath. Different sake for sample and ice cream poles on demand. We were also ro arrange for our luggage to bs sent directly to Nagoya from their lobby - super convenient!
The hotel is decent and features a small kitchen that was sufficient for our cooking needs. We did encounter a couple of minor issues: the cleanliness in the room could be improved, and there was an inconsistency with the air conditioning, as the beds below felt cold while the upper ones were warm. However, overall, we were happy with our hotel room.
We have stayed at the same hotel chain at Fukuoka and really loved it
This hotel is super convenient, just a three-minute walk from Takayama Station as shown on the map. The room was clean and well-maintained. Taking a dip in the upstairs hot spring bath at night was incredibly relaxing and helped wash away the day's fatigue. While it's a bit of a walk to the morning market and other attractions, the overall experience was good.
In the Takasu Ski district, this is about the most impressive hotel option. Since there is very little dining options in the town of 1 street, we are thankful for the good quality restaurant for breakfast and dinner.
The rooms decor is dated but in very good condition, for a moment I felt like I was in an Austrian ski lodge.
The onsen was also dated but in good functioning condition.
There is on site parking which may not be enough during peak season. Then again, Takasu ski-jo looks like a day trip option.
The interior decorations are very good and very suitable for taking pictures.
But the building is old, and there is only one socket behind the TV and another one next to the sink in the bathroom. There are too few sockets!
The layout of the room is very surprising. Two chairs are placed in a completely blocked narrow space. It's really funny!
The room does not have private toilets and bathrooms. I hope Ctrip can improve the room description.
The hotel is very clean, even the public toilets and bathrooms are very clean. I didn't see other guests using them, so it's quite convenient.
The soundproofing is not good, but I don't mind.
The front desk service can score 70 points in Japan.
Bread and tea were given in the morning, which was not in the agreed no-breakfast setting, so this is a plus.
It is very close to the station, a 5-minute walk, very convenient.

2200910****This hotel is an absolute must-recommend, the top choice in Takayama:
1. There's a shuttle service from Takayama JR Station, with the schedule shown in the pictures.
2. The room is super spacious at 38 sqm, not small even compared to domestic standards; two large suitcases can be opened with no problem at all.
3. The hotel has a European-style decor. While there are some signs of wear and tear, it doesn't affect usability.
4. There are many hot spring baths, half of which are outdoors, with a modern design 👍.
5. Dinner and breakfast are abundant, and the dining environment is upscale and atmospheric 👍.
6. The service is standardized; I didn't experience any differential treatment or discrimination that I've encountered at some other hotels.
7. It's also very convenient for getting to other places, such as taking a bus to Shirakawa-go or connecting to other cities like Toyama and Kanazawa via JR.

TTiaodongzhongdexiaoshumiao[”1: The service was really lacking. I had two large suitcases and it was pouring rain, but no one helped me get them into the car. There was no bell boy. The old man at the front desk only helped with my shoes. His English was terrible. When I called the front desk at night, no one could speak English.”,”2: The rooms in the main building are quite spacious and comfortable, but there are no showers in the rooms. You have to go to the large public bath for a shower, and there's only a toilet in the room. If you're traveling with children, definitely don't stay in the main building, unless you're lucky enough to get the room the Emperor stayed in!”,”3: The breakfast was incredibly disappointing. Compared to other onsen hotels, their breakfast was very, very meager.”,”4: The hot spring water is truly excellent; it's wonderful for your skin.”]

MMSSsmThe room is better than expected. The terrace has a private bath and shower facilities.
The private bath is large enough to accommodate two people.
Because the hotelis located in a high position, the privacy is also very high
There is also a convenience store nearby, very convenient
The waiter who is responsible for introducing the food and taking you to your room is the same person
Can speak fluent English, also help with luggage, and very polite
Very good service attitude
We took a taxi directly to the hotel that day. I didn't expect that the hotel would cover the cost. The same thing happened on the day of departure. The front desk also helped to call a taxi.
The overall stay was good
SStevenxinxinlaoshiThe location is fantastic, right next to the JR station and bus stop, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions. The lady who checked us in was so friendly, enthusiastic, and really sharp – she quickly understood what we needed and was very helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious enough. The best part was having an induction cooktop and utensils! We bought beef from Maruaki butcher shop and cooked it right in our room. After a day of sightseeing, it was great to avoid crowded restaurants and long waits. We could even make our own breakfast in the mornings. It was so convenient and comfortable, absolutely perfect! Thank you very much.
