Hotels With bar in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan

This is one of the most luxurious hotels I've ever stayed in! The facilities are excellent, and my trip to Kagoshima was made even better by booking the Shiroyama Hotel. Everything went smoothly from check-in, and the 4th-floor observation deck offers the best view of Sakurajima in all of Kagoshima.

We absolutely loved this stay and would recommend it to all travellers! We booked the corner room. The room was well illuminated by natural light during the day and we could see the river from our room. At night we could even hear the water flowing. There were two western single beds but we asked for futons for the full Japanese experience and loved it! The room was spacious and clean. There was a bathtub in the bathroom but we used the public bath (male and female separated) which was amazing. The public bath was quiet and spacious and there was a sauna room. Breakfast was served during 7am -830am with a well set table as shown in the picture. The staff was super kind. Just note that the walls were thin and you should expect some noise but people here are generally used to keeping their voice down. Another highlight is that you can take the bus of both the red and blue lines at the bus stop right in front of the hotel. (The blue line is for Shiratani Unsuikyo.). It is very convenient if you are not driving. The hotel is around 25 mins away from the ferry port and the walk there was pleasant and not difficult to find. Yet another great thing about this place is that you can rent mountaineering gear here at a cheap price, including shoes and rain protection. We rented the shoes here at 1,xxx yen per person (forgot the exact price) and they were very useful. It was raining for almost the whole 5h hike for us and the shoes offered a good grip and were sufficiently waterproof. You can also find little souvenirs at their shop. Honestly, it's impeccable!

⭐⭐⭐½ — Pricia Resort Yoron, Japan My stay at Pricia Resort on Yoron Island was a mixed but overall pleasant experience. The location is undeniably stunning — crystal-clear turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and the kind of tropical scenery that makes you feel completely removed from the everyday hustle. The standout of the entire trip was without a doubt the staff - Tana, Takumi, Hoshi. From check-in to check-out, every team member was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make my stay special. They went above and beyond with local recommendations and were always on hand with a smile. Breakfast is great with lots of choices on buffet. There is also all day lounge to get free drinks and nuts. The resort itself has real charm and a wonderful atmosphere, but it’s clear that the facilities are showing their age. Several areas would benefit significantly from renovation — from the rooms to the common areas, a refresh would bring the physical experience in line with the exceptional service and natural beauty surrounding it. That said, if you’re looking for a peaceful island escape with a welcoming team and breathtaking scenery, Pricia Resort still delivers. With some investment in the property, this could easily be one of the best resort experiences in southern Japan. Recommended for: nature lovers, snorkeling enthusiasts, and travelers seeking an off-the-beaten-path Japanese island escape. A must visit - Yurigahama Beach! Uninhabited place and this is the iconic beach of Yoron.

This was my first time staying here, and I chose it because of the large public bath, the price, and its proximity to Tenmonkan. It turned out to be one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, making it an incredible value for money. By chance, at breakfast, I ended up sitting next to the same staff member (a student working part-time) who had checked me in the previous night. She taught me a lot about current events in Kagoshima, which was really interesting. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Kagoshima!

Its location within a quiet community ensures a peaceful and relaxing stay. Staff: A significant advantage for international travelers is the availability of English-speaking staff. Their willingness to communicate through messaging apps makes pre-arrival arrangements and on-site communication smooth and efficient. Transportation: Direct airport bus service to a nearby bus stop offers convenient access to the hotel. However, it's important to check the bus schedule in advance, as departures are infrequent. Planning accordingly will ensure a hassle-free transfer. Location: The hotel's location provides the convenience of being close to a convenience store, just a short five-minute walk away. This makes it easy to pick up any necessities or snacks. Pricing: The pricing is reasonable, especially when considering the exceptional amenities included. The private rotenburo is a luxurious highlight, and the inclusion of both a fabulous breakfast and an elaborate, multi-course dinner (12+ courses) represents excellent value.

It was our first time travelling to Kagoshima and was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. There are no keys or cards issued for room access, and all you need is the pin code or QR code. I really like that the room has the essential items that you will need during your stay - microwave, stove, washing machine. The hotel do not do housekeeping on a daily basis but it was all good for us as they do refresh the towels everyday. They also provide a water dispenser and ice machine at Level 1. The location of the hotel is fantastic - bars and food joints are just walking distance away and there is a 7-11 at each end of the street. I would highly recommend the hotel for any travellers.

In addition to being cheap, this hotel is very hygienic, and you can see the Sakurajima volcano, and it is very close to the Kagoshima high-speed boat pier. This pier has an airport bus to Kagoshima Airport.

Excellent ryokan hotel with excellent service, amenities and food. The outdoor/ indoor public baths (onsens) are one of the biggest and most amazing I have ever seen. Although there are many rooms and guests, the service is unparalleled so you don’t experience long queues anywhere. There is a museum in the hotel compound if you are bored!

I chose a hotel to stay at Kaya because the next day was working in Higashi Kushira. The room is large and the floor may be good in summer, but I think it will be cold in winter, so I think it's better to wear indoor slippers or thick socks. The cheeks and razors were near the front desk, and other body towels, toothbrushes, cotton swabs, etc. were in the room. Botanical shampoo, treatment, and body soap from Kagoshima Prefecture are also good and recommended! I forgot the charger, but at the front desk, either the Lightning cable or the Type C cable, they rented it for free with the outlet. It was really helpful! If the free parking lot is full on a first-come, first-served basis, park at a parking lot called ”Machinaka Park” in another place! You have to get a stamp and a discount ticket and pay 400 yen when you leave the store. I didn't order breakfast, but there is a bakery on the first floor of the cafe, which is also the breakfast venue, so I bought bread and coffee there and ate it in my room! The bakery also uses local ingredients and is delicious, so it is recommended! When I was thinking of spending time until check-out slowly, I was knocked by the cleaner and confirmed if I was staying, but I was able to spend time in the room until time. The room was large and I could spend it relaxing, so I would like to use it again if I have another chance.
