Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Carpenter street, the waterfront, where nightly light shows (approx 15mins) are held and various historical buildings and sites are right at the doorstep of the hotel or within walking distance. There is also an excellent mall (Plaza Merdeka) is connected to the hotel which is a plus. Great service from all staff, thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable

Good Things:
• Near Cat Statue, Tua Pek Kong Temple, Chinese History Museum, sarawak riverside
• Location between wayang street & padungam street, so you explore both of street with alot of restaurant
• Provide iron & table, hair dryer
• No need access card to go the room floor
• In front of the hotel will find a bus stop
Need to improve:
• Please provide toothpaste & toothbrush (not only sanitary bag, cotton bud & shower cap)
• Please provide parking area for hotel customer (not only for apartment customer)
• Elevator need to maintenance (feels like too old)

While the room wasn't huge, it had all the essential amenities and the location was excellent. There were plenty of dining options nearby, making it super convenient for both getting around and eating out. The only downside was the inconsistent hot water supply; it wasn't hot enough and quickly turned cold, which really impacted my shower experience. I hope they can improve their hot water system.
The most noteworthy feature of this hotel is the incredibly spacious rooms. After researching all the available options in Bintulu, I can confidently say that Goldenbay Hotel offers the best value for money. I would certainly choose to stay here again on my next visit to the area.
The amenities were another high point of the trip. It was a lucky coincidence that a comb was provided, as I had forgotten to pack one. Furthermore, I was impressed by the quality of the hair and body shampoos. It is rare for me to enjoy hotel-provided toiletries, but these left me feeling truly clean and lathered up well. To top it off, the rooftop offers a gorgeous view, especially during sunset.
However, there were a few drawbacks during my stay. I booked two rooms; while my room was fine, the second room had significant lighting issues. Although the reception sent a technician to help, they only managed to fix one light. Even after the repair, that room remained much dimmer than mine. Additionally, the bidet in my own bathroom was leaking. It felt a bit ironic to see multiple signs encouraging guests to save water and use the bidet instead of paper when the fixture itself wasn't working properly.
Lastly, the breakfast was a bit of a letdown. The selection was quite limited, and the taste was only average. If I return to this hotel in the future, I would likely book a room-only rate and find breakfast elsewhere.

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Margherita Hotel Kuching. The location is absolutely perfect — right by the Sarawak River and within walking distance to the waterfront, shops, and local attractions. The view from our room was beautiful, especially in the evening.
Breakfast had a good variety of choices, and we especially enjoyed our Laksa Sarawak on the last day — it was flavourful, authentic, and the perfect way to end our trip to Kuching! It truly gave us a taste of local Sarawakian cuisine.
Overall, we had a pleasant and memorable experience. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Kuching. Highly recommended!

The hotel's location is great, right next to a park, and you can enjoy the view across the river while having breakfast. The bed was large and the room was spacious. There was a slight odor when I first entered the room, possibly from the riverside sewer, but my nose is quite sensitive. After lighting an air freshener, it was generally fine. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience. The hotel breakfast was also good and quite extensive, and the lobby offered dinner options, which was convenient. The front desk staff were very polite.
The hotel offered great value for money, probably because it wasn't peak season. Our room faced west, which meant we got to see beautiful sunsets and take some fantastic photos, though it did get a bit too hot. Luckily, the air conditioning was powerful, otherwise, sleeping at night would have been impossible. The bathroom design wasn't ideal; it was too dark and cramped, definitely something that needs improvement. On the other hand, breakfast was excellent, really fantastic.

The view was absolutely spot on - definitely the highlight of the stay. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the Kuching Waterfront, making it very convenient to explore nearby attractions, cafes, and local spots. Everything was within easy reach, and the area has a really nice, relaxing vibe, especially in the evening.
Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The convenience of being able to walk around without needing transport made the whole experience even better. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay in a strategic location with a great view.

The hotel's location is excellent. Right across the street is the riverside park, making it very convenient to walk to Rainbow Bridge. The Parliament House on the opposite side is just a ten-minute walk away. In the evening, strolling along the Sarawak River on the opposite bank is also lovely. Just a heads-up: if you're returning to this side, make sure you get back before the Parliament House gate closes at 7 PM. We didn't notice the sign and ended up having to take a small ferry back. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. Except for the Sarawak Cultural Village and the Cat Museum, which require a taxi, all other attractions are within walking distance. Many museums are also worth visiting. There's a great Indian restaurant nearby that gets busy at lunchtime. The hotel's service and facilities are top-notch, especially the swimming pool, which has a fantastic ambiance. They even provide a complimentary fruit platter. Kuching is a city with a rich cultural heritage and is definitely worth a visit.
I appreciate the hotel’s vigilance regarding noise complaints. However, being woken up for an issue I did not cause was both frustrating and unnecessary. Better verification would greatly improve the guest experience.

AAnonymous UserI stayed at City Rise Hotel Miri for the second time and overall it was a pleasant experience. my stay included breakfast. Although the variety of food options was not very extensive, the nasi lemak was surprisingly delicious and definitely a highlight of the meal.
The hotel remains a comfortable and convenient place to stay, especially for short visits. I would consider coming back again in the future.
AAJ & ECCheck in process was smooth and seamless. Room were located at 15th Floor. Room definitely has aged after the many years in operation. All were good, nevertheless. Breakfast next day was the highlight. A good selection of international and local dishes were served. Good variety I would personally say. Sservice staff was attentive and kitchen team delivered what was requested. Definitely will make a return visit to the hotel again 👍🏻
GGuest UserDamai Lagoon Resort is nestled between the Mountain Santubong and the South China Sea. The resort environment is serene tugged in a tropical rainforest setting. The area provides a tranquil retreat with dense jungles and sandy beaches. The Sarawak Cultural Village is located just a stone’s throw away. It is within 10 minutes walking distance.
We were given all sea-fronting views with one corner rooms on the 3rd floor. We could listen to the waves crashing on the beach during high tide. The spacious space coupled with modern shower amenities and comfortable bedding made our stay an enjoyable experience and we had a relaxing time there. The buffet breakfast served was sumptuous with wide spread of local cuisines.
We enjoyed swimming in the clean infinity pool in a sunset backdrop. There are many indoor games provided for the children. Thus, you will not get bored staying in this resort. The resort entrance is grand and the guest lounge is huge and beautiful overlooking the sea.
The resort staff members are very helpful and friendly. The resort is highly recommended if you want to have a relaxing holiday outside Kuching city.
Thank you.

SSakura29Overall it was a nice stay. The hotel is in a perfect location and it’s very cosy and peaceful. Reception staff was friendly and helpful. I was accommodated in a nice room with a pool and sea view. Faiz Haslan has also shared some information about the places to visit around, which was very helpful. Breakfasts were very nice, and there was a good food variety. Chinese New Year Eve’s dinner was excellent, great food variety and delicious. It would be good to have wifi available in the room and not only in the public areas.

JJohana binti JohariRoom with sea view was absolutely perfect. The panoramic ocean view from our room were breathtaking, green, fresh. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. Very calm pool to swim. Private beach access was ideal for relaxing vacation.

SS L TangI stayed at Sheraton Kuching for three nights during the Raya holiday. Overall, we had a pleasant and comfortable experience. The hotel is new, modern, and well-maintained, and the general service quality was good. Our room was spacious and clean, but we did encounter a minor issue with the shower. The selector button for the shower head was stuck, so we couldn’t switch to the handheld option. It seemed like something that maintenance might have overlooked, or perhaps previous guests didn’t report it. Breakfast, however, was slightly below expectations for a hotel of this standard. While the spread was adequate, the variety and overall execution could be improved to match the brand and the hotel’s otherwise high standards. Despite these small shortcomings, we were still happy with our stay and appreciate the comfort and convenience the hotel provided. With a few improvements especially to breakfast and room maintenance. Still regard as one of the top stays in Kuching.
