This is an absolute gem among all the hotels I've stayed in over 15 years of traveling across 40 countries.
The design of the rooms, corridors, and common areas is stunning and truly unique. There’s an arcade machine in the room with Nintendo games from my childhood… It feels like the hotel owner's personal signature style - and it's the most amazing highlight of this place!
A special afternoon tea with fantastic cookies is a wonderful service.
Breakfast is usually a buffet, as far as I understand, but on the day of my stay, there was no buffet, and breakfast was served individually for each guest. Still, it was very good and filling.
The location is excellent - right next to the bus station. That means you can check in immediately after arriving from the airport by airport bus, or leave your luggage if you arrive early. Getting anywhere in the city is also easy, quick and cheap by local buses.
The room was very comfortable: quiet and very warm (I stayed during the cold season), exceptionally clean, with a great bathroom, and everything was in perfect condition. The bed was very comfortable with amazingly soft pillows worthy of a high-end hotel - and they even provide several pillows with different levels of softness!
The staff's attitude toward guests is excellent: I'm a light sleeper, and quietness is important to me, but in Asia this is often a problem even in expensive hotels. So when booking, I requested a quiet room on a high floor and away from the elevator - and my wishes were fulfilled perfectly.
And for all of this, the price is simply incredible. This hotel is worth traveling to Yantai just to stay here!
Overall, it's a masterpiece. The only places I've seen that are better are classic five-star hotels, but even they don't have such outstanding interior design and arcade machines. 😊 And if you were born in the 1980s, you absolutely have to stay at this hotel to play the games of your childhood on a real arcade machine right in your room. 😊

We were dubious about booking this room for our 4 night stay as a foreign family in Qingdao but to our surprise it was quite pleasant. We were upgraded to a three bedroom apartment instead of 2 bedroom, which wasn't necessary and it was unused but the sentiment was appreciated.
The two bedrooms are just as pictured -very comfortable - absolutely perfect.
The kitchen countertop is high so tall people like us felt comfortable using it. The fridge and washing machine were useful to have. The unit has 2 bathrooms and 1 toilet at the entrance (convenient for guests visiting).
The views are great from the living room and main bedroom.
🚨The ONLY NEGATIVE was that the living room was NOT COMFORTABLE at all😱😖 and this was a huge problem for us, as 3 larger westerners - the sofa is extremely hard, narrow bum area, and 90° angle back, making it super uncomfortable to sit ! ☹️ I'd urge management to rectify this immediately! There was also not enough seating so we had to move the chair from the bedroom to the living room.
We would have extended our stay by two or three extra days if the sofa was comfortable!
We would have given 5 stars instead of 3 if the living room was comfortable for sitting and enjoying the view all day which is WHY we booked this place for my elderly parents and brother.
If you have a TV box and cables I recommended you bring it with if you want to watch English TV (using a vpn of course) which we did (remember all cords and remote).
The staff came daily to clean -they were so friendly and just amazing!
By the way we did ask if we could change to a room with a more comfortable sofa, but they said all of their rooms have the same uncomfortable grey sofa 😖😵🫤 super disappointing.
all that being said - the value for the view, service, cleanliness and location -it's extremely good!
Thanks Haiyi!
We will come again ONLY if you change the sofas!

The room was very clean, and they even asked me if I wanted housekeeping during my stay. They provided disposable toilet seat covers and soft facial towels, which was a nice touch. The best part is that you open the door directly to the sea. Enjoying breakfast while looking out at the ocean in the morning was absolutely wonderful.

Location: Right by the sea, and a 15-minute walk to May Fourth Square. Around 5 PM, you can see flocks of seagulls, which is quite a sight. Compared to staying near Zhanqiao Pier, choosing this location means you won't get stuck in traffic during peak season. There's a mall nearby for some shopping, and Jingfugong Korean Restaurant, which is excellent, is just a 5-minute walk away.
Room: Picture 1 is the sunset shot from room 1727. It offers a partial sea view. I particularly liked the table in the room. During peak season, it's great to order takeout and enjoy it in the hotel without waiting in lines, watching the sunset with a Qingdao beer – it saves so much time!
Amenities: The breakfast was incredibly rich and fantastic; the kids absolutely loved it. In winter, they also have an infinity heated pool, which is 1.5 meters deep and very safe, with amazing views. Adults can also enjoy the gym and sauna!
Service: Customer service agent Rose provided excellent one-on-one WeChat service. She wasn't just passively answering questions; she proactively checked in on us and even helped me get complimentary drinks and alcohol from the mini-fridge in the room. Rose definitely deserves a thumbs up!
P.S.: The luggage staff at Hyatt Regency were super handsome! The front desk lady had such a gentle voice! Rose must also be a gentle, thoughtful, and beautiful lady!

The location is absolutely unbeatable! You can have fun right outside the door, and it's just a short walk to the sea. You can even see the sea from the elevator. The room was comfortable, and it even snowed that day, so we got to play in the snow right outside for ages. The geographical location is superb, and we had a very comfortable stay. The location is just to the left of picture five. Honestly, the location is the best part! It's fantastic!

Quick check-in. Fantastic price. Room is clane. Bed is a little bit hard, but it's fine. Location is perfect if you want to visit Shandong University. Convenient place to stay. Will definitely stay again. No breakfast - but with the rate is nothing to care about.

This was our second stay at the Hyatt, and the kids absolutely loved it! They had a blast playing indoors, and it was great that they could dig in the sand right outside. The indoor pool has a small hot spring area that wasn't crowded, perfect for toddlers to splash around in. Breakfast has improved a lot, with a wide variety of options. We also had a fantastic New Year's Eve dinner at the '88' restaurant; the food was delicious.

The Yantai Marriott Hotel boasts stunning, first-line sea views and a superb environment. The lobby is spacious and airy, and the rooms are expansive with floor-to-ceiling windows directly overlooking Golden Beach. The private garden offers direct access to the sea, creating a tranquil and rejuvenating atmosphere. Kevin and Rose provide excellent, family-friendly service online. The hotel is incredibly convenient for families with kids, offering a fully equipped children's play area, swimming pool, and even sand-digging tools. They also provide children's amenities. You can head straight down to the beach for tide pooling and sand play, making it a hassle-free, one-stop destination for entertaining your little ones.

It's really great to be able to bring a dog. The service is very good. The girl at the front desk is also very enthusiastic. The boss's thinking is very advanced. As a traveler with a pet, we have always adhered to the principle of not causing trouble to the store. We live seriously. Thank you for the boss's kindness. I hope the business will get better and better. I will come again. The room is very large and the pillow is very comfortable. I bought one to take home. It was a very happy trip

Highly recommend this B&B! I was absolutely wowed the moment I stepped in. The soft furnishings are exquisite and cozy, the bedding is incredibly soft and comfortable against the skin, and the bathroom is spotless with no strange odors. Even the toiletries were thoughtfully chosen. The location is superb; you can walk to the beach, and the sunrise in the morning is stunning. It's tucked away from the hustle and bustle, so it's quiet. The host's service was incredibly attentive; they sent check-in instructions in advance, responded instantly to any questions, and even recommended hidden local foodie spots. My experience was fantastic, and the value for money is unbeatable!

XXiaowanzidexiaotaoziFirst of all, the service is really good. The uncle outside the door is very enthusiastic to help direct the parking space. The doorman Xiao Gao took the initiative to accompany the luggage to the room. The front desk smiled and had a very good service attitude. Seeing that there were children with children, they helped to apply for an extra breakfast, and took the initiative to send a set of toiletries and slippers 🩴. In the evening, they also sent an extra quilt. Fruits, water, and yogurt were constantly delivered. When I left, they also sent a special one for the road. The breakfast is very rich and delicious. Although there are many guests, the breakfast is updated quickly, and the guests are also sent to wait for meals. In short, although it is an old hotel with some old facilities and some parts are not very easy to use, it wins in service and has a good location. Basically, you can go shopping (Zhenhua, Joy City, Wanda are all nearby) and go to the main street attractions by walking. It takes 10 to 20 minutes to take a taxi for a slightly farther distance. There is a bus at the door 🚌, which is very convenient. Liu Yunxia, Xiao Du, Xiao Zhang, the service is very good👍

Just returned from a stay at Qingdao Yilan Xinsu Hotel—a solid choice near Shilaoren Bathing Beach and the International Convention and Exhibition Center 🤩. With an impressive overall Trip.com rating of 8.8/10, guests rave about its service, cleanliness, and convenience .
The location scores about 8.9/10—it’s roughly a ten-minute walk to the sandy beach and sits just 8.5 km from Qingdao’s downtown core and 14 km from Qingdao North Railway Station. Not ideal if you need a car—there’s no on-site parking (). Amenities and service both come in around 8.6–8.9/10, with friendly staff and smooth check‑in/out process (). Cleanliness is top notch with a clean rating of 9.0/10 .
🌞 What stood out:
• Rooms are spacious and bright, featuring big windows and modern décor in a sleek New‑Chinese style. Everything felt new and well-kept .
• The beds are comfy (2.2 × 2.2 m, pure cotton linens), showers felt luxurious, and the soundproofing was excellent. Also enjoy convenient rapid check‑out service with personal touches .
• The breakfast buffet gets solid praise—tasty and well-rounded start to the day ().
💤 Stay comfort: 9.0/10
• Clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed rooms made for a relaxing and bright stay.
📍 Location: 8.9/10
• Close to beach access and the expo center, plus shopping and transit nearby—but no parking if you’re driving.
🤝 Service: 8.9/10
• Staff are described as friendly and helpful; check-in and check-out are seamless.
🛎️ Amenities: 8.6/10
• Offers the basics—Wi-Fi, in-house restaurant (light meals available), and cozy space—but lacks a gym or pool .
⸻
✅ Quick tips:
• Ask for a seaview or beach‑side room—light is great, and views are peaceful 🌊🌅.
• It’s walkable to the sand and just a short ride from Qingdao International Convention Centre.
• No parking, so if you’re self-driving, plan to park nearby or use public transport 🚉.
• No fitness center or pool, but hey—you’re steps from the beach 🏖.
⸻
Final verdict: With modern rooms, sparkling clean spaces, strong service, and a primo location near Shilaoren Beach and the convention center, Qingdao Yilan Xinsu Hotel scores a solid 9/10. Great pick for business travelers or chill beach escapes alike! 😌✨

GGuest UserThere were so many people traveling during the Chinese New Year holiday, but the hotel service was still very good, and Xiao Li provided excellent service. We stayed for two nights, and the bed was the best part – so comfortable to sleep in. My child loved having a bathtub for soaking. It would be even better if the shower water could be a bit hotter. Although the hotel is a bit older, the overall experience was better than expected. The breakfast was plentiful, and it was thoughtful to have four coffee machines and cups available for takeaway. It's a shame that the executive lounge on the 54th floor doesn't have a sea view, but the light meals there were substantial enough for a dinner, and the drink selection was also rich. The original Qingdao draft beer was delicious! I'd love to come back in the summer. It's very convenient to get around by subway without a car. The hotel is near May Fourth Square, and across from MixC, which is very handy.

8852 Serendipitous LifeOverall the hotel staff and service are 4 star. What makes the hotel 5 Star are the rooms and facilities. It is clean, safe, and well maintained.
To be fair, I did arrive in early April during the off-season but I was not impressed with the service provided. Staff was consistently difficult to find, or would be crowded all in the lobby. Check-In and Check out was easy and the staff are very nice. International guests be aware, few to no staff speak English or communicate in any other language.
The breakfast was not good. Cold and hard food, empty plates, drinks and foods not being refilled, and then having the lights turned off after breakfast was finished being served. Few selections, mainly cheap foods and breads.
There are no staff outside, during my time there. No bell hops, no one to guide you to the front desk (Because it is not easy to find at first), no one to help with your luggage. A single staff member stands at the front of the lobby after you enter to greet you.
Positives - The room was spacious and very clean. It had most things I needed and the quality of the room and bathroom was excellent. The balcony looked over the courtyard and the ocean which people can see you if you go out but was a nice addition. The island the hotel is on has everything close by and most taxis/Didi’s will pick you up within five minute
The area has been developing for many years and is getting better each year. The Qingdao Beer Festival ground are close by (about 30 minutes drive) during the summer, but most activities are in the city about one hour drive away for the rest of the year.
For this hotel, the room and facilities are the focus as they are well taken care of and maintained. I am not sure if I would return.

TTianjinwolongxianshengThis hotel boasts a central location with excellent transportation links – the subway and bus stops are right downstairs. The staff are warm and friendly. While the hotel has a classic, older feel, it's very well-maintained. The rooms are great, and the winter pricing was a real bargain. The housekeeping staff are also very diligent. The hotel restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes with good flavors. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

SSunnyAmyMy child was participating in a music festival here, and we came along to watch the performances. This hotel was the closest option. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from here to Golden Beach and the Phoenix Grand Theatre across the way, by cutting through the back exit and following the signs. It's quite a distance from the city center; it took us an hour to drive from the airport. Today, we took the Jiaozhou Bay Tunnel on our way out, which was significantly faster than the other free road. The hotel is a bit old; the showerhead was quite dated, and the water pressure wasn't great. However, I liked that the toilet and shower were separate. The front desk even upgraded my room to the 11th floor, which I appreciate. We ordered a few dishes at the 2nd-floor Chinese restaurant on our first day. The staff were very friendly, but the food was incredibly salty.

MM599736****Five-star review! Crowne Plaza Qingdao Ocean Spring Resort is incredibly worthwhile.
The room we booked was a delightful surprise. The balcony offers a direct view of Aoshan Bay, and watching the sunrise in the morning was absolutely stunning! It's just a hundred meters walk to the Ocean Bromide Salt Hot Springs, so you can enjoy both a relaxing soak and ocean views. The kids' water park kept my child entertained to no end.
The window seats really set a wonderful ambiance. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and even proactively upgraded our room. The service was attentive to every detail. This is definitely our top choice for a family vacation, and we'll be back next time!

GGuest UserFantastic experience! While the decor is a bit old-fashioned, the overall stay was excellent, especially in two areas:
1. **Cleanliness**: The towels and bath towels were all individually sealed, which made me feel very secure using them. Every day when the room was cleaned, any open towels were replaced with fresh ones.
2. **Service**: From the front desk to the restaurant staff to the housekeepers, everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile. Before arriving, I called to ask if they could put the beds together, and when I got to the room, they had already done it – so thoughtful! Before we left, they even gave my child some cookies. If I ever come back to Qingdao, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again.
