This is a wonderful Suzhou-style garden hotel, directly connected to the Pan Gate ancient scenic area. You could easily spend half a day exploring both the hotel grounds and the scenic area, as the views are stunning both day and night. The interior is spacious and grand, with a stylish Chinese design and decor. Chinese culture, including ancient paintings and other artworks, is beautifully integrated throughout the common areas, hallways, restaurants, and guest rooms. The views from the windows are picturesque. The hotel boasts comprehensive facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, spa, and children's play area, as well as both Chinese and Western restaurants. The property itself is vast, featuring a classic Suzhou garden with pavilions, terraces, and quaint bridges scattered throughout. Everything is meticulously maintained, clean, and bright. From the front desk to the cafe and room staff, everyone is polite, warm, and highly professional, making you feel right at home! The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection. This is my second stay here, and I highly recommend it! Thank you to the hotel for your excellent service. I wish you continued success and many more guests!

Couples photoshoot (including 5 retouched digital photos): The photographer from Xiaowan Travel Photography is a master at capturing moments! The photos are full of emotion, with accurate color reproduction – every single one is profile-picture worthy, highly recommend! Regarding the room facilities, I stayed in Building No. 1, Shoufang Garden, a villa that has hosted presidents and leaders. I thought that even though it opened in 2016, the facilities would still be decent. However, I was disappointed. The shower drain in my room barely worked, leaving a pool of water on the floor after showering, which felt uncomfortable. Also, the toilet seat was quite uncomfortable; my bottom started to ache a bit. 🥲 I hope they make improvements. After all, the deluxe king room I booked in Building No. 1 cost over 800 yuan, a price where luxury chain hotels would offer far superior facilities. However, the service and environment were absolutely top-notch, which is definitely worth praising. It is the famous Ying賓館, after all, haha! Every step in the garden reveals a beautiful scene, and the complimentary shuttle service makes getting around very convenient. We also visited the complimentary Hongqiao Fang Hot Springs ♨️ with my parents, my mother-in-law, my daughter, and my husband. Only my husband could really handle it, haha, it was just too hot inside! Even Shanghai's Tangliande isn't this intense. 😱 You feel like you're going to faint from the heat! Then, as soon as you enter, you have to change shoes. 😂 While it's the correct procedure, it gets a bit smelly when there are many people, haha 😂😂😂😂😂. Plus, aside from the bathing area, it's not very big and doesn't offer as much to do as Shanghai's Tangliande.

This established five-star hotel truly lives up to its reputation! The location is super convenient; it's a 30-minute subway ride on Line 1 from Nanjing South Station, and a short walk from Exit 6 to the hotel. Right outside, you'll find the Xinjiekou twin subway station, making it easy to get anywhere. We received a complimentary upgrade to a room in the Asia Pacific Tower, directly facing Deji Plaza, and the night view with all the neon lights was absolutely stunning and great for photos. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, with a wide selection of Chinese Qinhuai snacks, as well as Western cold cuts and hot dishes, all tasting great. The service was warm and attentive throughout our stay – the bellhop proactively helped with our luggage, and the front desk staff patiently answered all our questions. Next time I'm in Nanjing, I'll definitely stay here again!

I requested a quiet, non-smoking room, and the hotel accommodated it perfectly. It was mostly convenient, except for having to switch elevators to pick up takeout, which was a bit of a hassle. They provided a children's playpen and toiletries for kids. The view was absolutely amazing and unbeatable.

Everything was top tier. From the check-in where I was upgraded to a river view room, the clean, spacious and inviting room to the service and superb breakfast. The view from the restaurant was amazing. This was my pre birthday trip and the Hyatt made it so special. I even got a slice to birthday cake. The lady at the front desk who checked me in spoke really good English and was so kind and caring and she’s also a Gemini 😁🎉 I would 100% recommend and come back here.

A very good stay so far and it was made exceptional by two outstanding staff members. 刘玉 at Reception provided a wonderfully warm and offering excellent local tips. Her helpful attitude continued throughout my stay. 夏幸福 (Breakfast & Room Service) was incredibly attentive and cheerful. Her proactive and thoughtful service, whether in the dining room or delivering a meal, consistently enhanced my experience. They are truly the hotel's greatest asset. In fact, their excellent service is the reason I chose to extend my stay from an initial 3 nights to 10 nights, and perhaps even further.

Sofitel Lianyungang truly exceeded my expectations! Its downtown location is super convenient, with Suning Plaza right downstairs, offering easy access to dining and shopping. The room was clean and spacious, and from the high floor, I could overlook the city. The bedding was incredibly soft, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, with freshly made seafood noodles and waffles being absolutely delicious. The buffet dinner was also quite good. The front desk service was very thoughtful, proactively helping us plan our sightseeing routes. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit.

For a trip to Suzhou, choosing the Crowne Plaza Suzhou was absolutely the right decision. The hotel has a unique exterior and beautiful surroundings, offering unobstructed views of Jinji Lake, which is stunning both day and night. The room was spacious and bright, with modern decor and fully functional amenities; the air conditioning, bathroom facilities, and TV all worked perfectly. The service was warm and attentive; the front desk staff patiently answered all our questions. When my child left their water bottle in the restaurant, Jessie promptly helped us find it and ensured a smooth handover, delivering it right on time. The hygiene was top-notch, with even the corners being spotless. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive, catering to all leisure and entertainment needs. Nearby attractions and shopping malls are also easily accessible, making getting around very convenient. Overall, the experience was excellent and very comfortable. I'd definitely recommend it to friends.

Hotel near Slender West Lake Tourist District,Yangzhou 87.4% of visitors choose this area
GGuest User 2026.02.10
This was our first trip with our baby, and we chose the Yangzhou Slender West Lake Hot Spring Resort. It's less than an hour's drive from Zhenjiang, and only 50 minutes from our home. We left after lunch and checked in directly in the afternoon. The hotel lobby had a large unicorn that our baby really loved. We booked this hotel with a group coupon during the Double 12 sale, 999 yuan per night without breakfast. However, the hotel is near Slender West Lake, and there are many dim sum restaurants nearby, so breakfast was actually very convenient. We originally booked a family suite with two bedrooms, a living room, and a private hot spring, but since the family suites were fully booked when we checked in, they upgraded us to a two-bedroom villa. You can drive directly into the villa area and park near your room. The second bedroom in the villa had a bed with three sides enclosed, which was perfect for traveling with a baby, preventing them from rolling off. Our baby was also safer with us sleeping on the outside. The hotel air conditioning was a bit too powerful, leaving my throat and lips dry, but everything else was great. Since it was our first time traveling with a baby, things were a bit chaotic, so I didn't get a chance to take many nice photos. We also missed out on the complimentary Hanfu photoshoot offered by the hotel. The hotel has its own 'Pet World' with swans, horses, deer, alpacas, etc., and our little one had a wonderful time. The hotel also provided a complimentary pet feeding kit, and our baby was thrilled while feeding the swans. It's a great all-in-one place for kids; just staying at the hotel was enough for our little one. For older kids, the hotel is also close to many scenic spots in Yangzhou, so they can easily go out and explore. The hotel butler was very thoughtful and specifically brought us a baby gift package during housekeeping.

XXavierasyI booked a suite for 2 nights at the Courtyard by Marriott the night before I came from Xi'an because I wanted to visit Niushoushan, Jinling Xiaocheng, and other tourist spots nearby. The location of the Courtyard is actually not bad; it's right beside the Hedingqiao metro station, and many food booths and convenience stores are just downstairs. You can buy takeaway at any time. The reception staff is nice and helpful and can speak very good English, no doubt. The worst was the concierge. One of the concierge staff has been playing on his cellphone every single moment. I took Didi or the metro at least 4 or 5 times every day. Every time I pass through the entrance, he is playing on his phone. The most frustrating part was when I ordered takeaway through the app. The delivery man said he placed it on the concierge cart right next to that guy, but someone took my package, and he didn't notice. YEAH, How could he possibly know if he was preoccupied with his phone ?!

GGuest UserI booked this hotel because I wanted to try out this style, and overall, I was quite satisfied with the experience. The only minor drawback was that the location was a bit hard to find at first; after parking the car at the entrance of Pingjiang Road, we had to walk a distance, and the ground was uneven, which made it a bit challenging with luggage. On the day of check-in, the front desk surprised us with an upgrade to a room with a bathtub, which was a really pleasant surprise. The front desk staff also had an excellent attitude, making us feel very well taken care of. Additionally, upon check-in, thoughtful touches like small cookies, fruit, yogurt, and a welcome card were provided. These little details really enhanced the experience. The only thing is that the lighting in the room was a bit dim. I'm not sure if it was because I didn't know how to operate it, or if it was designed that way. It would have been perfect if the lighting brightness could be adjusted.

LlwkengWe booked the family room with 2 king bed room for our whole trip in Nanjing and the hotel truly is not disappointing. The hotel is very clean and close to the Laomendong attractions. All are within walking distance. Nearby attractions are also a lot and easily reachable in short distant. Food and restaurant is not a problem. The room has all the amenities and most importantly free laundry service is available which is important for my family travel for longer days as we do not need to bring a lot of clothes. The owner is friendly and provided suggestions to our places to visit as well. Breakfast is inclusive. Even though simple, good enough to start for the day without needing to look for food before going out. Overall a good and pleasant experience with our stay.

GGuest UserI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations. We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby. We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed. Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel. This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance. We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again. Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed. When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet. Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

GGuest UserLocated in the Science and Technology City of Suzhou High-tech Zone, the surrounding area integrates the elements of ”technology, landscape, and humanities” and is close to an artificial lake. The environment is quiet and suitable for vacation. The hotel is close to Taihu Avenue and has convenient transportation, but the business atmosphere in the Science and Technology City area is relatively quiet, and you need to travel a short distance to nearby commercial entities. With environmental protection, natural landscape and family-friendly facilities as its core advantages, Element Suzhou is suitable for tourists seeking a quiet vacation or a short business trip. Its kitchen configuration and parent-child services are particularly outstanding, but improvements need to be made in terms of spraying less air freshener and surrounding convenience.

CChifanpeiyinliaoThis hotel is definitely a great place to walk your kids! The ecology is very good! We even saw a hare! But maybe it’s because it’s outdoors! It seems like the door to the candy room is a little broken! Not so easy to close! Then the electric cars in the park require money to use but they are too slow! And the cost is a bit high! The service attitude at the front desk is very good! Very eager to help! The road to the swimming pool is not easy to walk! Must be very careful! It's easy to fall! The locker room environment needs cleaning! The interior of the room is clean and acceptable!

AAnonymous UserMy family and I totally enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean and amenities are really good. The service staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. The location is actually very good for tourist because it is very convenient to assess a lot of food and photo taking sceneries. The thing is, it is not exactly easy to find the taxi will only send you to a place nearby and then you would have to figure out how to go to the hotel. There are some rooms on the second level so it might be a bit tiring to climb up the stairs but we were fortunate to get rooms on the ground floor with a courtyard view. Do look out for mosquitoes but there are mosquito repellent provided. Breakfast is also provided, we had noodles and some condiments. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. The room was tidy and comfortable, making for a truly relaxing stay. The location is also superb, with everything you need nearby. There are tons of dining options right outside, making it super convenient for eating out and shopping. But what really warmed my heart was the service! GGlenysMGreenTree Inn, Jurong (Jiangsu Province) is an oldie but a goody! I stayed there for 5 nights in late August/early September (2025). At first glance I was a bit dubious, but it turned out to be a really great place to stay. I felt very safe there and in the neighbourhood (day and night) and would stay there again. Excellent customer service ..… the Reception and cleaning staff were all really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The first room I was allocated smelt of cigarette smoke (no thank you!), but I was immediately moved into a nicer smelling room, which was absolutely spotless, quite large, and had a nice new smart tv, air con, an opening window with a flyscreen and security bars (essential for a ground floor room), nice solid furniture, pure white linen (impressively imprinted with “GreenTree Inn”) and a clean, comfy doona and pillows. A standard hard’ish Chinese bed, but I find them quite comfy. The old carpet runner along the length of the long ground floor hallway (where my room was) is a relic from way back when, but it was clean and well maintained, as was the rest of the hotel that I could see. The shower head needed fixing, but that’s an annoyingly common problem in pretty much every budget > mid range hotel I’ve ever stayed in, in China. The hotel is only about 20 metres from Jurong Chongming Subway Station. Local bus stop almost at the front door (& across the road). The entrance to the old cobbled road (no cars allowed) & all its little shops is across the road at the lights, and a large pharmacy at the entrance (near the “archway”). Electric scooters galore to hire (via the AliPay or WeChat apps) outside the subway. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance once you get past the trades shops (plumbing supplies etc). My only gripe about GreenTree Inn Jurong (& this is a gripe I have for many hotels etc throughout China) is that smoking is allowed on the premises. I think it’s the worst it’s been since 2002 when I first started travelling to China. It’s awful walking into foyers and lifts that reek of cigarette smoke, and copping wafts of the smoke along hallways from smokers in their rooms (& ashtrays at lift entrances), and horrible arriving tired after a long flight and long trek from airports etc, only to discover you then have to request a room change to escape the smoke, and start all over again. No matter how accommodating the staff are, I could easily do without that hassle and the horrible smell. In my opinion, hotels etc in China need to up their game where that’s concerned, and follow the lead of the many countries which have banned cigarette smoking in all public buildings (including hotels), all public indoor and outdoor spaces, anywhere near children and shopping centres, on and near public transport etc etc etc.
