Convenient if you are attending an hour event or conference in Birmingham ( it is way cheaper) Very basic in every way but it did for me . Birmingham is only 15 mins approx away. The hotel is being refurbished and repainted so the place does look a bit disheveled. Very basic food- evening meal and breakfast but was ok for a one night stay. I would book again because so close to Birmingham but much cheaper.

Located on part of the Birmingham University campus in Edgbaston so good location for academic conferences / visiting the university, also short distance to dental hospital, cricket ground, tennis centre etc. Plenty of free parking including blue badge and EV charging. Check-in was quick and efficient. Angela, who checked us in, was friendly and helpful. There is a large bar which serves smaller meals throughout the day and also a restaurant in the evening. The bar food was average price for hotel food (£12+ for sandwich with some soup)  and average quality. Room was clean and tidy, with modern decor. It was very spacious and well equipped with seating and table, ironing board, plenty of pillows, pod coffee machine and plenty of coffee pods, tea bags etc. Black out blinds worked well and there was minimal noise from other rooms / corridor. Would definitely stay again if in the Edgebaston / Birmingham area.

I booked Hillscourt for 2 nights to attend my brothers funeral, unfortunately I had an accident while I was here and had to stay another night. The care I had from the staff was excellent they couldn’t have done more for me, even bringing me breakfast in bed! Highly recommend, the personal care and kindness was  second to none and I shall definitely stay here again!

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stayed at this hotel. Whenever there’s a room available, it’s always my first choice in Coventry. The location is perfect — right inside the University of Warwick, just a 10-minute drive from the city centre. It offers free parking

Britannia Hotel Coventry: In the 4/F hotel room the wifi is working fine, but the television may need some time to warm up and start working properly. Don't forget to bring your own toiletries. The hotel locates at the heart of the City Centre, it has reasonable price, comfortable and spacious room for 1-2 visitors, 5 minutes walk, very close to the Pool Medow Bus Station and the Coventry Trasport Museum, plus the Coventry Cathradal (address: Priory St, Coventry CV1 5AB) and its front yard is just right next door.

This is the perfect place to stay for one or two nights. It's a great spot if you're attending a concert at Utilita Arena, as it's only a 20-minute walk away. There's a train station very close by, and the airport bus stop is also just a 20-minute walk.

It was a very nice and modern hotel with a large room and comfortable bed. The use of the spa was complimentary with the room and we were very impressed. There is a bar and restaurant onsite and although service at times was slow (but it was busy) the food was delicious and reasonably priced. My only downside was that there was no hairdryer but other than that all that was provided was very good.

GGuest UserAll staff were excellent always very helpful, facilities need refreshing hotel needs sprucing up, gym equipment tired and ripped Pool small. Chairs in the bar area either dirty or broken, very busy hotel trying to be too many things to too many people. Tried to book Spa on Saturday or Sunday both full. Breakfast basic to say the least. It was a shame, as once again the staff made our stay.

GGuest UserLocated in Birmingham city center, which isn't huge, so getting around is very convenient. Shopping is also easily accessible. The price was reasonable. However, the room wasn't very spacious, and the soundproofing wasn't great, perhaps due to the age of the building.

NNaiyoudangaojiabingjilingI was genuinely surprised by how convenient the hotel's location was. It's just 20-30 meters from the train station, making it incredibly easy to reach. We could walk to every attraction, completely eliminating the need for public transportation. Chinatown being right next door was fantastic, offering endless dining options to suit all our family's tastes. The hotel itself was very quiet and comfortable, and it felt incredibly secure. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay!

GGuest UserFirstly, the staff we encountered were lovely, very accommodating and helpful. The reception entrance was promising, being bright and modern with a very pleasant receptionist and smooth check in. However, our room lacked appeal, comfort or anything that made one wish to stay in it for longer than a night. To be fair, we were asked twice on check in, if we would like to move to a different floor. I jokingly asked if there was a problem with the room we'd been allocated but was told no. We were allocated Room 7. Whilst it appeared clean to the best the facilities allowed, it was unpleasant. The bottom of the bathroom door appeared water damaged and rotten. The sink was cracked. The radiator was rusted by urine splashes as situated beside the toilet and the shower was situated in a recess with no curtain or screen, so quickly spilled on to the floor making the bath mat soaked. The lock on the bathroom door didn't work. There was no hair dryer. Only one USB point within the very small TV which only charged if it was on. Being on the ground floor, our window opened out on to the narrow walk way and one poor man walked into it on his way to reception. SatNav instructions take you to a dead end further down the road and several attempts at finding our way around the God awful roundabout eventually led us to a very small parking area at the front of the hotel. Breakfast at 9.00 pm was initially disappointing. One plate was available, no bread for the toaster, no milk for the cereals. One sausage, no beans, no bacon. More food did eventually appear, as did plates, and it was very nice. The croissants and pastries were lovely too. The coffee machine was good. As mentioned, the staff were very good and we requested an iron which was bought to us quickly with a board by a lovely young man. The bed was awful. Rock hard and not much comfort from a meagre duvet that was so thin that initially we thought it had been forgotten. Anyway, one night, cheap and basic. Served its purpose but would look elsewhere and pay more. Think we were just unlucky.

GGayatri GallowayEstablished in 1879, this hotel is indeed the Grand Birmingham Hotel! It oozes classiness throughout. Our room was spacious but looking at the floor plan, that seems to be the standard! Bathrobes provided though not slippers. The shower has a door instead of the useless walk in panels that never work! No useless espresso cups but proper world map mugs for our coffees and tea in-room. Two comfortable arm chairs and the bed… The bed was a dream and I’m hoping to source the exact mattress topper and duvet! Perfect for me as a smoker, the hotel has an exclusive courtyard terrace on the first floor offering complimentary self service coffee. There are two adjacent restaurants to the hotel that uphold a dress code ensuring the premises is classy throughout. Beyond the hotel doors there’s plenty other eateries as the hotel is bang in the centre right by the Birmingham Cathedral: again perfect for our following Palm Sunday. The only thing I don’t understand is why the hotel entrance is not bigger and grander than it deserves.
