Grand Mercure Petra
4.1/548 Reviews
The hotel sit atop a hill overlooking the desert hills - a wonderful view, about a 10-min. drive from the Petra visitor center. All the staff we met, from the security guards, to the bellman, the front desk, the restaurant - were just SUPERB. All of them. The lobby is inviting and warm, the restaurant is spacious and with lots of sunshine. Dinner buffet had a very nice variety and decent quality, yet overpriced. Breakfast had a wonderful variety with good quality. The room was very clean, and looked like it was built last year - very well maintained. Although the building looks very new, overall, the hotel is overpriced a bit. Overall, an excellent choice for Petra.
Mövenpick Petra

Beautiful interior, love the ambiance of lobby lounge and Al Iwan restaurant, food is delicious! Excellent location, just opposite Petra Visitor Centre, ATM can be found next to the Centre and only charge a small fee compared to ATM at airport. Unfortunately, not every superior room comes with a balcony therefore i don’t see what’s the difference compared to classic category. And AC/heater in room smell like kitchen, not sure because our room was just above the back kitchen. After all, it’s a mixed feeling about the hotel.
Petra Marriott Hotel

Beautiful hotel, with very friendly, respectful employees. The rooms are very clean, and come with the most beautiful astonishing view of the mountains, something you’ve never seen before and when looking at it keep you dazzled. For dinner we got a local dish with chicken en lamb what they grilled in a underground oven. This hotel and the staff deserves a full 5 star rating!

Little Petra Bedouin Camp

We stayed at the little Petra camp for a couple of nights to visit the fantastic Petra World Wonder, as a family of 4 with young children. Muhammad and his team are incredibly friendly, welcoming and even helped us massively with booking the next leg of our journey. The room was comfortable, with every modern convenience of a hotel. The camp itself is beautiful, clean and a great place to spend the evening with wonderful food, atmosphere and a number of unique surprises that I won't ruin for you here. We passed by various similar camps and spent time in Petra hotels during our visit and felt very happy and vindicated with our choice every time. Thanks again to Muhammad and team for your faultless hospitality. Alex Frost
Petra Moon Hotel

The hotel is good, the room is large, the front desk service is very good, the hotel staff are very NICE, and there is fruit delivery ☺, it is recommended that those who go to the ancient city of Petra can start from the monastery, and you can go completely and not tired.
La Maison Hotel

The hotel is quite close to the ancient city of Petra. Breakfast is also ok. The hotel has a buffet in the evening. 10 yuan (local money) is equivalent to RMB 100. Generally speaking, it is more convenient to live here in the ancient city of Petra. I asked the hotel to help me arrange a car to the hotel in the center of Amman. 650 yuan. 250 kilometers. It is more convenient.
Petra Wassaif Camp
4.3/520 Reviews
The facilities were very limited for a camp welcoming tourists and with quite a high price. We didn't expect this when we saw the rather positive reviews and ratings... - When we arrived at check-in time, it seemed that our rooms were not ready and when we entered them, they were not clean at all (traces of excrement in the toilets, the shower drain was blocked, etc.). - Then it was mentioned to us only at the arrival that the electricity is available only from 6 am to 8 am and then from 6pm to 12am. We can wash only in the evening and we have to ask (sometimes several times) to have hot water. This information should be absolutely present in the description of the hotel or at the time of the reservation. Even if this is due to the fact that the camp is far away, it is still the least an hotel can offer for the price paid. - Although the camp is on a hill and it was December, it was also much too cold and the rooms were not well insulated for that. We could see and feel the wind passing through the fabric of the walls. We had made camps in the desert before, where the temperature were the same, and that was still well insulated from the cold so that proves that the rooms in this camp are not at all adapted for that. Moreover, there is no point in taking the AC to warm up (a paying service) since the electricity cuts off at midnight and the cold comes in from everywhere in the room. - The meal is not excellent and expensive (15 JOD). - The road to arrive at the camp is rocky. It would have been nice to have the information to know if our car could access it or not.

It was reasonable condition & price. The staff was friendly and kind. Food was good! But the shower booth wasn't drained so well 😅
Shaqilath Hotel

We stayed 2 nights in Sept. 2022. Breakfast normally starts at 6am but they were flexible and accommodated our special request to have breakfast ready ~20 min. early so we can still enjoy breakfast before heading out to Petra, and had packed lunch ready (we ordered them the night prior through front desk). Hotel also provides dinner service, we had a delicious large grilled chicken with rice platter. Great service and hospitality!
