This was the second time I visited Heritance Kandalama and it was better than the last stay especially I would like to mention the Guest Relations Executive Miss. Yoshina for taking care of our family and fulfilling all our needs with all the needed information with her efficient style and making the stay comfortable also big shoutout to the chefs food was beyond amazing and the restaurant staff was very active as well and also the suite was amazing with all the amenities that should be there in a room overall a 10/10 experience and a must visit place in Sri Lanka ♥️

wowwwww..... simply wowww one of the best hotel ever visited , from the ambience , location , food everything was simply fantastic . the warm welcome what they do to every guest by serving their home recipie tea along with doing tika on head made us feel super special . the checkin process was very fast and made our stay very comforable. would special thank king nobert who was incharge of restaurant , pradeep pastry chef ,shanmu sous chef, and many more staff who are the heart of this property which makes all the guest stay super special ..... A Special thanks to Krishna who takes care of tea factory she is the gem this hotel has. her warmth and love given to us was par apart , one of the clean hearted human ever met. must must visit this property ....

We really loved staying here as it was so close to what we wanted to do in Sigiriya and was surrounded by nature. There are so many nice restaurants within walking distance. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and hospitable and made our stay even more enjoyable. The housekeeper/chef prepared a wonderful breakfast for us in the morning and always had a smile on his face.

MAGICAL!! it's a pity that we had just 1 night to spend in this resort.... it's a place to detox, disconnect, seek within and go on a soul searching journey to connect within yourself! The entire energy of this place is pure! From the way we were greeted with the temple flowers as we were walked down to our little cottage to the natural fragrance in the room with the fresh flowers decorated in all corners of the room, the bed and the washroom.... everything was charming. Wifi was only in the lounge area/common...so you could not stay cooped up in your place all day...n if you happen to go in Jan/Feb, that's just great coz it will get a little pleasantly chilly at late evenings ...n just breathing in that fresh clean air was amazing! The buffet spread includes live cooking counter and is quite varied...not exceptionally varied for vegetarians but overall a good spread. I would love to go back n just be there a few days n slack in the beauty in that still and clear clean quiet. There is also an ayurvedic centre within the premises for those interested.... I would suggest, it's worth a try and the prices are pretty good too.

Because it was only a small break in Kandy, it was set up a hotel closer to the train station. When I checked in, I was told that I was registered as a person. Two people had to receive another 12 knives. It felt a bit pitted. I was particularly nervous about the hotel after a long time, because only one person's information was filled. Breakfast is not bad, 5 knives and one person, personal feeling is not cheap.

The hotel is located around 10 minutes from the famous Sigiriya citadel. The hotel’s pool and the main lobby area including the bar overlook the sigiriya citadel (Sigiriya rock), making it one of the best views of the famous rock. Further the hotel is surrounded by lush greenery. Hotel staff are professional and also “extremely” friendly. They are a “true example of island’s hospitality”. The pool and the bar area are the best places to relax. Room service, laundry service and reception were really responsive and always available. Hotel rooms are of single category but some rooms need more attention in maintaining, especially the room that was given (Room 41). The room looked kind of rundown. Yet, house keeping was commendable. Same time, food menu, and the restaurant should be improved as breakfast was almost same every morning, “french toast” was not really “french toast” at all and there was no refilling of certain food items (especially cut fruits) for late risers.

The room facilities are indeed a bit old. The hair dryer does not work in the bathroom and the socket is broken, so I have to use it in the room. It is advertised that there is a laundry room and dryer, but there is actually no one. I wonder if there is something wrong with Ctrip's translation. The hotel is in a very good location. Well, it's quiet in the middle of the hustle and bustle. It's very close and convenient to Kandy Lake. The service is also very good. It's a chain hotel after all. There is a boy at the front desk who can speak very good Chinese. His professionalism is unquestionable. There is also a group of monkeys downstairs of the hotel. , super cute, but they only play on the roof and don’t bother guests

From the moment we arrived at this hotel, the service was truly excellent. We arrived early, but were still able to check in. We were greeted with cold refreshing coconut drinks and snacks, and the most helpful, lovely staff. Our room was beautiful, very stylish, with a small balcony, lovely bathroom (great toiletries!) and extremely comfortable bed. Perfect! The breakfasts were delicious, such a varied choice of food, with good coffee! We are vegan but there was plenty for us to eat. Day 2 we had freshly prepared hoppers filled with lentil dahl - so yummy! Location is ideal, very close to the lake and not far from the train station. We bumped into a gentleman who works at the hotel when we were out exploring (he was off-duty at the time but recognized us from when we checked in) and he was SUPER helpful, walking with us for a while, pointing out some interesting places to go, and he even helped us buy tickets for a traditional dance show. We were only in Kandy for 2 nights, but really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Highly recommend.

The hotel is over a hundred years old, since 1844. I felt as though I went through a time portal when I stepped into the dining area. Part of the hotel’s appeal is the history of the hotel. Don’t expect a modern hotel but rather embrace the well-detailed history on display throughout the hotel. The hotel is located in the heart of the downtown area.

This is our 4th visit. It has now become a regular feature in our tour itinerary. If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of central kandy and yet be within a convenient motorable distance, this is the place for you. The service is personal with a butler. The place is exquisitely clean. The background music in the restaurant is hauntingly beautiful. And it IS in the background. Our room had the most comfortable bed i have slept in anywhere. I made a reservation around Dambulla to rest one more day in Sigiriya, and they let me check in 2 hours early. The staff were really friendly, and the owner of the restaurant next to the pool was really kind. They also provided room service, so I was able to rest well. The hotel was spacious, so it was nice to walk around, but I recommend going to the treetop. It would be really nice to do yoga there. I wanted to go to the pool, but there were too many Westerners, lol. They booked a taxi for me the next morning and packed breakfast for me, so I was grateful. The room was the same as in the picture and was very spacious.

We really enjoyed this establishment and were able to enjoy our last moments in Sri Lanka until the end thanks to a late check-out :) All the staff are attentive, accommodating and efficient! The buffet is varied and suitable for several types of palates. The rooms are large, clean and well equipped. The BIG plus of this hotel is the magnificent swimming pool which is at an ideal temperature!

This is not our first stay at the hotel. This was our 3rd or 4th visit and it is the last for sure due to their poor customer handling and management. I must say that our previous stays were fabulous and i have made positive reviews in TripAdvisor for those. However, this time most of the staff are new to us and not so friendly and caring as the ones who were there earlier starting from the front office. They just don't care, I don't know if its because we are local travellers. On the other hand, the ”amberella” welcome drink is awesome as always. We stayed in a Duplex as there were 4 adults and my 9 month old baby. The rooms were clean and spacious. The living area was giving a calming vibe and had the same look as their other villas we have stayes before. Our baby, husband and I were in the upstair room and when we entered the room is was heated up and the air conditioner was not working properly. It was so uncomfortable so we called the front office and they sent a team to repair. It was taking alot of time so we requested for another room as our baby was feeling tired and needed a nap. Plus, they had adequate rooms vacant and even had Duplex category rooms available too. Still, they refused to shift us to another room so we kept the baby in the ground floor room. The repair took around 2 hours! And then we went to the room and the air conditioner was working. Yet, we were not able to have a nap and relax as we had to go out to Anuradhapura which is the main reason for our visit. So we came back at around 9.30pm and the air conditioner was not working again. Again the same drill, a team came, inspected and told us they need to repair again and it was 11.45pm when they said this. We refused because we were already exhausted as needed to sleep. Also, now, at 11.45 at night they are asking us if we can move to another room (Duplex category). They had vacant Duplex category rooms all this time and in the moddle of the night they are asking us to shift. In my head I was bursting but we were all too tired to keep arguing or leaving the useless place so we stayed in the same Duplex room just till morning. Early morning we left the hotel without breakfast eventhough we had paid for full board. They charged us the whole amount and invoiced for the additional food as well as mini bar (just mentioned this if not someone could think that they must've given a discount or wave-off). So we paid almost 500USD just for one night for this drama. We will never go back to this hotel and not at all recommend. I guess the main issue was poor management of the situation and it shows how poor the hotel management is. We were in Duplex 3 (Kohomba). This hotel staff or management will never care about the customer if something goes wrong and lacks hospitality. Afterall, while we were having our breakfast we got a call from the general manager of the hotel and he apologized but I think it is too late as we have already left their property. There are many types of breakfast, and the taste is quite satisfactory. It is not particularly prominent. Extra bed, INR 1300, plus a set of toiletries for the extra bed. The environment is particularly good, located on the edge of the lake, the scenery is very beautiful, especially when you enter the hotel door, it is the best resort hotel. The room is a separate cabin, the bathroom is very large, it feels very good, it can be said that it is the best hotel for family and children. The staff is very friendly and there is no discrimination against the Chinese. The hotel is dominated by Western tourists and there are relatively few Chinese tourists. The only regret is that the buffet at the dinner did not provide drinks, and even the mineral water had to be bought separately. It was not kind.

We chose to stay at Seerock for 2 nights when we went to Sigiriya. Sigiriya and Thoppigala is about a 20-minute drive from here. The staff members are super friendly and polite. The food was delicious (we had all three meals). Rooms are really spacious, clean, and tidy. We booked 2 rooms (Gajaba and Harindra) for 4 of us. One room comes with a jacuzzi, and the other one had a plunge pool. In the morning, you can hear peacocks 🦚 calling. The restaurant and the bar are on the upper floor. You can see the upper part of the Sigiriya and Thoppigala rocks from the restaurant. The pool was clean and spacious. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves to stay close to nature.

When I checked in, I saw a single-family villa and immediately decided to stay for another night. The room is very large and has a complete range of facilities, making it suitable for family travel. The trees in the hotel are thick and dense, all of which are primitive and naturally grown. Bird-sized butterflies fluttered, birds chirped, and cicadas sang melodiously... Living here, I felt far away from the hustle and bustle. It was great to swim in the afternoon and lie in a hammock. At night, I could see the stars in the sky, which really felt like returning to my childhood. The boss is Chinese and very attentive. Seeing that our companion had gastroenteritis, he specially cooked a pot of porridge for us. The front desk ladies are also very cute and enthusiastic. They actively provide services every day. It is also very convenient to go to the nearby Lion Rock and Dambulla Caves. I will find another opportunity to come next time.

不得不説，這家酒店是我在斯里蘭卡住的最好的酒店之一。剛剛開業3年，所以一切都很新。酒店是樹屋的形式，很有特色，但是完全不用擔心安全問題，酒店到處都是cctv，酒店會保證你的安全。酒店私密性很好，一共就十間房間，所以一點也不會感覺擁擠和吵鬧，非常適合度假。泳池也很乾凈，夜景也很漂亮，我會把這裏推薦給任何一位要去斯里蘭卡的朋友，雖然它不是我此行最貴的酒店，但卻是最好的最印象深刻的一家酒店。真的是一家寶藏酒店～希望它生意越來越好^btw 早餐是set menu，很好吃，也很豐富～

The reserved room bedroom has a loft that can sleep 3-4 people. The public areas and rooms are well decorated and maintained. The location is not far from the city center, but close to the road and railway. It is noisy at other times except at night. The hot water switch was hidden in the closet and was not turned on when checking in. There were no additional instructions. The front desk got off work at 10pm and could not be contacted, so I had to take a cold shower. There was a small gecko in the bathtub. Except for the soup, dinner was pretty unpalatable. The two types of fish I ordered were overcooked, dry, bitter, and maybe burnt. When I first checked in at 2 pm, I wanted to have laundry delivered to me. I was told that if I picked it up before departure the next morning, there would be an additional fee. However, I checked into another hotel of the same brand the day before and had laundry delivered at 10 pm the next morning before checking out. Washing, drying and ironing are done for free. What’s also strange is that the front desk helps you fill out the satisfaction survey feedback when leaving the store and asks you to sign it, while the previous one asked you to fill it out realistically. When you see the high score, you are also asked to provide suggestions for improvement. The difference in service awareness is evident.

The environment is much better than in Kandy. Going through a bumpy road. It's very gray. Sometimes it's blocked. The hotel was nice to check in early when we checked in that day. As the brother of the Tutu bus in Colombo was too enthusiastic to help us buy a seven-point train ticket, the next morning at breakfast, Ms. Checkin came over to say one of the reservations. To make up the difference. I think the hotel in Sri Lanka is curious that the price for one and two people is different. Later, the difference was more expensive than Ctrip. I still feel uncomfortable. She did n’t say when she checked in. Breakfast was okay. I ’m not quite used to the buffet here. The fried egg brother opened my stack of fried eggs by hand. The fruits are all papaya and watermelon. They are not very rich. The floor-to-ceiling window of the restaurant was not like that when I booked. There are three glass pieces in the middle. Bedding was more comfortable. Kandy was dirty and messy overall. I did n’t think I would come back, and the room had a balcony.

Amaya hills Kandy located within scenic mountain ranges in the heritage charm of the kingdom of Kandy.The Amaya Hills Kandy has the architecture and charm and culture of the city of Kandy ruled by the last Sinhalese king Sri Vikrama Rajasinha (1780-1832) till 1815 when the British deposed him and was succeeded by Gerrge III after holding out against colonial powers the Dutch and the Portugese The Amaya Hills reception has a Statue of the last king at the reception which is a huge open and deep balcony offering nearly 300 degrees of splendid views of the mountains The hotel is complete with swimming pool and the breakfast and dinner we had were splendid and had many authentic Sinhalese dishes.. The rooms are open to a balcony and it is a treat to have tea viewing the magnificent mountains.. The level of hospitality matches the famed Celonese hospitality and will be remembered for long and a must experience in Sri Lanka visit..

This hotel is not in Kandy. It takes about an hour and a half to drive from downtown Kandy, and it is all rugged and narrow mountain roads. It seems that our drivers are accustomed to driving this kind of road, but we think that the next mountain is very troublesome, so no It is recommended that you need to go out frequently to choose this one. In addition to the location is a bit far away, the other aspects are really good to say nothing, watching the sunrise in bed early in the morning, watching the rolling mountains while swimming, and the sky and stars at night, children like it! The restaurant here is not bad, there is even a small bar to order wine, but the price is very similar to the domestic, not as cheap as the food and beverage prices in Sri Lanka. In addition, mosquitoes in the tent are unavoidable. Be sure to put down the gauze when you sleep, and spray some mosquito repellent liquid.

The Elephant Stables was the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka! The hotel is nestled in the hills above Kandy city, making it very peaceful and relaxing, but within a short distance to all the cities attractions. The view from the garden and infinity pool is spectacular, and we wish we had had more time to enjoy the property. The staff is what makes this place so amazing - they are so friendly and attentive, with the food being the best we’ve had in all Sri Lanka. Don’t skip out on the dinner menu and ensure you have time to enjoy their delicious breakfast. We can’t wait to recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Kandy.

The hotel group is small but has boutique hotels across Sri Lanka. This w15 is located near kandy. There is a shooting club next to it and tatata gunshots can be heard during the day. The hotel itself is not big, with one house and one main building. As for the scenery, looking at the mountains, it feels a bit like Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all good. In terms of activities, you can choose hiking, cycling, tennis or taking a jeep to climb high. Special attention should be paid to the fact that the hotel channels have different prices, so carefully compare the prices.

The hotel itself and its facilities are fantastic. The rooms are nice and the food is absolutely superb. Unfortunately the service in the restaurant was really poor, which made this stay absolutely unpleasant. We were given dirty table cloths (and they didn’t want to replace it after asking for it), our table was given to someone else while we were at the buffet, we had to order drinks several times until finally served, we were given the bill to sign while still eating the main dish (not even dessert) and actually wanted to order more drinks, after being seated, we had to wait min 10 min to place orders for drinks or get silverware etc. From a 5* hotel we definitely expected something better. This is the only hotel during our trip, where we experienced bad service. which is a pity, as otherwise the hotel is really nice. We would not book it again.
