I was seeking accommodation in Lagos, traveling from London, for a two-night stay. The hotel proved challenging to locate due to an imprecise address provided on their website. Upon arrival, I encountered a front desk attendant who did not speak English, necessitating the use of a translation application for communication. My assigned room was well-maintained; however, it lacked television channel subscriptions. Furthermore, the absence of an in-room intercom system meant that any service requests required a two-floor descent to the reception area. It became apparent that the hotel's primary clientele likely consists of Chinese or Asian visitors to Nigeria, suggesting a potential oversight in catering to a broader international guest base. On a positive note, the hotel offered complimentary Wi-Fi, a swimming pool, and a lounge area. The check-out process was exceptional, as the hotel arranged for a driver and vehicle to transport me to the airport, a service I rate highly. Despite the somewhat elevated pricing, I would consider utilizing this hotel again. The hotel is situated within a tranquil residential estate, offering a peaceful environment free from noise, though also lacking in ambient music. I recommend that management consider implementing television viewing options, employing a local staff member proficient in English, and diversifying their menu to include local cuisine.

It must have been destiny! Here's the gist: I initially planned to stay just one night and then move on, as my business clients are scattered all over the place 😊. But now I've extended my stay for four more days because I simply can't leave! Honestly, after traveling through nearly 10 African countries, this Chinese-run hotel is the only one I've been truly satisfied with. The price is reasonable, they offer airport pick-up and drop-off, but what really sealed the deal is the food – breakfast, lunch, and dinner are absolutely amazing and so nourishing! Every meal is different, with at least 8 delicious and appetizing dishes 😍. Don't compare it to China; this is just a recommendation for Chinese travelers visiting Lagos, Nigeria. To be honest, I truly hope our future trips will lead us to similar Chinese hotels. The general manager is hands-on, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, and the head chef, a friendly young man from Dalian, is so welcoming and hospitable. In short, the setup gets full marks, and the quality of service also gets full marks from me – you can decide for yourselves! Check out the pictures! The hotel service was excellent and very welcoming. There's a Chinese chef, and the food was delicious and beautifully prepared. The environment is lovely, and the location is super convenient, making it easy to get around. Plus, there's security, so it feels very safe. The attentive service and clean, tidy rooms are a huge plus. Definitely five stars! From now on, when I'm on a business trip in Lagos, Sister Zhou Hotel will be my first choice. Breakfast was served for one person only despite that my booking clearly stated for two. I tried to negotiate this with them but they refused blatantly. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay.

I came to Nigeria for a business trip, and choosing Shu Garden Hotel was such a great decision! The pool water was crystal clear, and it even had a treadmill next to it – a dream come true for fitness enthusiasts. You can combine cardio and relaxation without having to specifically look for a gym. The security was also incredibly reassuring; there's strict registration for entry and exit, so I felt completely safe strolling around the grounds at night. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were warm and attentive, with every detail taken care of. Next time I'm in Nigeria, I'm definitely staying here again! They also have KTV rooms and such, which are perfect for business entertaining. Plus, it's right next to a bay – I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel in my home country that offers such a unique location.

The hotel is highly recommended. It's close to the airport, and the best part is that I don't speak English. It's a Chinese-owned hotel with everything you could need. The accommodations and food were comfortable, and the service was excellent, especially the owner, who was so kind. I wish the owner great success in his business and all the best.

Overall, it was very good! While hotel facilities overseas, especially in Africa, might not be as modern as those in China, they were perfectly adequate. The service was exceptional; any request was promptly met. The food also far exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd suggest improving is the shampoo; the current brand isn't very good.

The hotel is very nice inside, clean and the facilities are also OK, but the outside of the hotel is a completely different scene, the contrast is obvious. I dare not try most of the breakfast, but the milk bread is still five days old.

I booked this for my colleague, and she kept telling me I absolutely had to give it a good review. She said it was clean, the meals were free and delicious! She also mentioned how attentive the staff were; being in a foreign country, she felt warm and welcomed by many people from her hometown.
