Booked two nights in Lofoten and finally got to stay in that iconic red cabin from the Lonely Planet cover. Check-in was super easy with a passcode. The room was neat, clean, and comfortable, making for a very pleasant stay. The kitchen was well-equipped, though the lack of paper towels was a minor inconvenience. Overall, I was very satisfied and hope to stay here again when I return to Lofoten.
This hotel offers great value for money. The entire stay is self-service, perfect for a solo traveler like me. The rooms are spacious, but the shower area is a bit cramped, so be careful. There's a strange ”do-do-do” sound that comes on occasionally, which is a bit disruptive to my rest, but for this price in Norway, I can't expect too much. Parking is free. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time. The breakfast is also quite good!
We'd booked a room for 5 with an extra bed on ***********, but when we reached the hotel, the lady at check-in informed us that in the Scandic Narvik system it was only a room for 2 people, that there was no other space available, and that in future, we should book directly with the hotel in order to avoid this happening again. In the end, she was able to find us a room, but it was such a terrible way to start off what was otherwise a brilliant stay in beautiful Narvik.
This hotel is small but well-equipped. I was just stopping by for a quick stop. It's very close to the port, and you can get there directly from the boat. The room is a bit small, but the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is varied and rich, and you'll feel very full if you eat everything. Transportation is also convenient, with the railway, bus, and port all nearby. The staff are very patient, smiling, and polite. I think it's a good choice for a short stay.
It's really not a nice hotel. First of all, the location is not in airport, which still requires about 20min by foot, and the road to hotel is a little tough. Secondly, you only can find a bed without anything in the narrow room. Thirdly, it's not so tidy as I noticed some hair in the toilet. However, it costs me more than 200 euros....
The hotel is very close to Bodø Airport, and it is very convenient to take the bus. There is a large supermarket nearby. Welcome fruits and drinking water are provided in the hotel lobby, and breakfast service is also available. If you need to stay overnight in Bodø, it is highly recommended.
They went to this hotel on the road to Lofoten.
Hotel New (even not on google street maps at that time), parking near it is paid (as everywhere in the city).
The town is small and the hotel was unexpectedly good. A great restaurant with delicious breakfasts, a cozy room with a comfortable bed, a view.
This is the third Thon chain hotel I've stayed at on this trip, and the WiFi password was conveniently the same across all of them. The room was a good size, spotlessly clean, and came with a kettle. There's a supermarket conveniently located nearby to stock up on essentials. Also, there's a Chinese restaurant by the sea; the food was decent, and it's the only Chinese restaurant on the island.
Lakenes is a transit station in Rofodon. The north Svolver and the south Thunder are here. The hotel is about six minutes walk from the station. There is a supermarket nearby. There is nothing in the room except bath towels and towels. Anyway, many hotels abroad are like this. Breakfast is not bad. There is no hot water bottle in the room, but hot water can be picked up at the front desk. The room is on the second floor, there is no elevator, there is a large luggage for the front desk to arrange a first floor.
Very Good

GGuest User😊Good hotel with best service. A lady at reception (sorry for not asking your name) was helping us carrying very heavy luggage to the room with high stairs. Sufficiency amenities and kitchen ware and dishwashing soap. Coffee, tea, cocoa with cookies serves in the morning with no extra charge.
🥹 only one door handle fell off but temporary fixable by ourselves.

BBelllllllllllllGreat location with a beautiful view! The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, making for a great start to the day. Highly recommend!

RRyan5Very perfect cabin, we like it so much, kitchenware is all available, very suitable for Norwegian self-driving travel. The decoration of the cabin is also very Norwegian, it is highly recommended here!

GGuest User
CCN Man 420The strong water pressure and hot water in the shower was exactly what we needed after a long deove from Tromso. The bed was soft and room was big enough for us. Breakfast was beautiful, so nicely done. If you stay here, highly recommended you make breakfast.
