Hi Guys we did enjoy our stay . Unfortunately some things were a bit dated & the cleanliness in the hallways needs attention. The room we had was a good size, for the price we paid,so we were happy with that. Didn't have the best of sleeps because the bed was sagging in the middle, like 1 of the 2 bases had dropped,& we didnt realised until the morning we left, while packing our bags on the floor. Have a picture of that if u want me to send it to. Overall we were happy with our stay based on the price we paid for that time of year.

ELMS hotel at Christchurch provide with welcome drink voucher during our check in. Unluckily we don’t receive any room upgrade from the reception during 3 days of staying. location wise is conveniently and there’re various restaurants and cafes nearby the hotel! Interior facilities seem a bit of old style, and dusts on the desk and cups are observed! Not far from the hotel to the city centre where you can take boat or tram exploring around the Christchurch!

The room was clean. The facilities were average, but the accommodation was fine. A bus to the ski resort was arranged. The breakfast was average. But the breakfast in New Zealand hotels is average. Don't expect too much. Compared with the ones in China, the staff in the small town here are very friendly. I feel comfortable every day.

The accommodation is located right in the city center, so the location is perfect, and the room was also very clean. The only downside was that after parking my car in the parking lot and driving away the next day, I unexpectedly received a parking ticket. However, after disputing it, the ticket was eventually canceled. Still, it did take up a lot of time to deal with, which was frustrating. Everything else was great though.

You need to provide better information about parking. The hotel only offers valet parking, though other paid parking is available nearby. Service at breakfast was not great. No one greeted me or explained that there were options. No prices were available before dining. I had one bagel and a fruit bowl (no drinks) and my bill was $28. That's really steep! I'll go to a cafe next time.

The room was a bit small, but it had everything we needed. Its central Christchurch location made city walks incredibly convenient. The daily room cleaning service was a thoughtful touch, and the price was fantastic. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Christchurch!

Due to heavy rain on the west coast, I went back to the town and stayed for one night. It was clean. Every room on the first floor has a back door to the garden. Breakfast is included. Bread, jam, coffee and tea are included. The whole meal seems to be 21.5 yuan. , Feng Jian by people

The hotel was booked in advance, but something happened in the middle. The customer service was very nice and responsible, and it was properly resolved. I live relatively close to the lake. It's clean and sanitary. I can cook. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.

The hotel is located in the city centre of Christchurch. It is literally outside of the Bridge of Remembrance. The receptionists are only present during daytime. The afterhour check in is not difficult. I received a SIM card with the check in. The room is very spacious with a small kitchen. There is no breakfast on my booking but there are many cafes nearby. There are also many restaurants in the city centre. Riverside Market is very good to find international cuisine. Botanic Gardens and the Arts Centre are within walking distance.

LLaisipaermeiduokexuhuangThe front desk at this place is open quite late, and it's a large hostel with lots of people. It meets basic needs, but overall, it's just so-so. Christchurch city center isn't very big; you can explore it quickly. If it rains, head to the museum; if the weather's good, enjoy more outdoor activities.

GGuest UserI was a bit disappointed. I was expecting this to be a 5 star place, but there were a lot of things that were definitely not 5 stars. The robes were grey and didn't cover bigger people. One of them had pilling all over it, I didn't want to even wear it. The bathroom door squeaked loudly, so if one person got up to the toilet in the middle of the night, it woke the other person up. There were instructions on how to use the spa bath, but not on how to put the plug in. It didn't just plug in normally. We weren't able to use it on our first night which was very frustrating as it was one of our main attractions. I rang housekeeping the next day. Someone came and had a look and said that you had to turn a know on the side of the spa, how would anyone know that? The lock on the door to outside was broken and a small slide lock had been put on. Why not fix the main lock? I used the toilets to the side of the library and when I washed my hands, the tap was all loose and wobbled round. All these things are little but show that the lodge needs to have things fixed or updated. For $300 per night, you expect the best. The worse thing was on our last morning, we got to breakfast about 8:45, the restaurant closes at 9:30 am. There was continental and scrambled eggs and bacon. At about 9:00 am they stopped bringing out anymore bread to toast. No more croissants, eggs or bacon were brought out. There were about 6 tables with guests and everyone kept going up and checking, but they didn't refill. People were saying, they must have run out of food! But for some reason the waiter kept lifting the lids to the egg and bacon to see what was in there, but of course there was nothing as he hadn't refilled it and he was the only waiter!! I was really disappointed and wouldn't recommend it, unless you are getting a really good discount.

GGuest UserI am writing to formally express my profound disappointment and dissatisfaction with the service provided by the Crowne Plaza hotel in Christchurch, New Zealand. My booking was for 5 rooms to accommodate a group of 9 family and friends, including young children and elderly members. Understanding that our group had specific needs, I proactively contacted the hotel in advance via email to politely request the possibility of an early check-in. The hotel’s response was both disappointing and unreasonable. They stated that an early check-in was not possible and suggested that if we wanted rooms available upon our arrival, we should book and pay for an additional night for the previous day. This response felt exploitative, implying that rooms were available but only for an additional charge, rather than as a gesture of goodwill or customer care. Accepting this, we adjusted our plans and arrived at the hotel after 3:00 PM, the official check-in time. To our great frustration, none of our five rooms were ready. The first room was only made available at 3:30 PM, and the last room was not provided until 4:30 PM—a full 90 minutes after the guaranteed check-in time. This caused significant inconvenience, discomfort, and stress for our group, especially given the presence of young children and elderly individuals who were tired after travel. As a loyal customer of the IHG brand who has stayed at their properties across Asia, I have always trusted their standards of hospitality. Unfortunately, this experience at the Crowne Plaza Christchurch represents the worst service I have ever encountered from IHG. The combination of an unaccommodating and profit-driven response to a reasonable request, followed by a failure to meet even the basic check-in commitment, reflects poorly on both the hotel and Trip.com as the booking agent.

GGuest UserI have previously stayed in this chain of pod hotels and the one up in Auckland was fantastic and I gave a raving review. Perhaps I got these guys on a bad day but I really felt the service had dropped significantly since  my First visit a year and a half ago in Auckland.  The main concern I had was the bathroom was pretty disgusting and something that I would definitely not use. You can see the reasons why in the photos that I will post. Mainly there was here all around the place and a lot of dropped water on the floor old products just in the corner even if they were advertise as free it looked disgusting and could be done in a much clean hygienic way. Just needs a bit more quality management in this area.  perhaps I got them at the end of the weekend with low interest in maintaining clean bathrooms but this was just not good. My second gripe or concern was that inside the pod the electronics of the light and fan were not visible and I took at least 15 minutes to figure out how to actually turn on off the lights and this was only done eventually by accident by me accidentally touching the panel as the back light of the panel was not functioning therefore it was not easy to determine where to turn the light on and off. My last gripe was that the door needs to be more effectively managed because it still slamming every time someone goes in and Out likely waking everyone in the pods certainly Juan understands in this type of accommodation you have to put up with a bit of noise but this was a little bit out there at 6 am 7 am in the morning. So overall, a little disappointed, but for the price point it served its purpose.

Ccici086Traveling with friends, we booked four rooms. They were clean, hygienic, and quite new. The lobby is small, and we didn't book breakfast so I can't comment on that. The rooms are a bit like a domestic Atour or All Seasons hotel, which is perfectly fine. The price was also very reasonable, especially since we used a room voucher, making it a great deal.

KKuishouThe room was very clean, and the facilities were standard for a four or five-star hotel, with a separate shower and toilet. The bed was also quite spacious. The breakfast was reasonably rich, and you could order omelets separately. The hotel is extremely close to the terminal; you can reach it right after exiting. Outside, there's a car rental company parking lot, which is very convenient if you're renting a car because you can park there and avoid paying hotel parking fees. Within a 10-minute walk, there's a commercial complex with restaurants and a supermarket. It's a very convenient place to stay when arriving in Christchurch.

Ffairy-smileThe location is superb, directly opposite the cathedral. It's a shame, however, that the cathedral is still undergoing renovations and seems several years away from completion. On the bright side, the beautiful Cardboard Cathedral is within easy walking distance. Just outside the entrance, there's a beautiful library with a cafe – a perfect spot for both intellectual nourishment and a coffee or snack. Riverside Market is also very close, easily walkable, and features a wide array of restaurants and bars. While New World supermarket and Chemist Warehouse are a bit further away, they are still within a manageable walking distance, and we opted to walk there. The staff were exceptionally warm and professional. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and the bathrooms featured a convenient wet/dry separation. Luggage storage was also available. Overall, this was, without a doubt, the best value-for-money hotel we stayed at during our entire South Island New Zealand trip.
