Hi Guys we did enjoy our stay .
Unfortunately some things were a bit dated & the cleanliness in the hallways needs attention.
The room we had was a good size, for the price we paid,so we were happy with that.
Didn't have the best of sleeps because the bed was sagging in the middle, like 1 of the 2 bases had dropped,& we didnt realised until the morning we left, while packing our bags on the floor.
Have a picture of that if u want me to send it to.
Overall we were happy with our stay based on the price we paid for that time of year.
ELMS hotel at Christchurch provide with welcome drink voucher during our check in. Unluckily we don’t receive any room upgrade from the reception during 3 days of staying. location wise is conveniently and there’re various restaurants and cafes nearby the hotel! Interior facilities seem a bit of old style, and dusts on the desk and cups are observed! Not far from the hotel to the city centre where you can take boat or tram exploring around the Christchurch!
The room was clean. The facilities were average, but the accommodation was fine. A bus to the ski resort was arranged. The breakfast was average. But the breakfast in New Zealand hotels is average. Don't expect too much. Compared with the ones in China, the staff in the small town here are very friendly. I feel comfortable every day.
The location of the hotel is great. The service was partly friendly, but my bed sheets had some red stains, and the milk in the fridge had gone bad (it was already like cheese in consistency).
I complained the next day because I only noticed the issues when I went to bed late, and nobody was at the reception. The response I received was that they could have changed the room, because they have 24hours workers. I didn’t receive a real apology or any gesture, such as offering breakfast, to make up for paying almost €200 per night.
Considering the rate, I expected a higher standard of cleanliness and customer care…
The room was a bit small, but it had everything we needed. Its central Christchurch location made city walks incredibly convenient. The daily room cleaning service was a thoughtful touch, and the price was fantastic. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Christchurch!
Due to heavy rain on the west coast, I went back to the town and stayed for one night. It was clean. Every room on the first floor has a back door to the garden. Breakfast is included. Bread, jam, coffee and tea are included. The whole meal seems to be 21.5 yuan. , Feng Jian by people
I stayed in North south holiday park on the day of arrival and the night pre departure from Christchurch. It is located about 5 mins drive or 45 mins walk from CHC international airport. You can book their airport shuttle ($5 per pax) during operational hours or the front desk can order a taxi for you at a cheaper price. Amenities are complete and cleanliness is well maintained. The only set back is there is no eateries within short walking distance except burgerking, but not a problem if you come with a car or you can cook at their kitchen(with utensils provided)
The check-in age requirement is 25+. You don't need a key card to activate power in the room.
The location is great, with all the Citywalk attractions nearby.
The facilities are quite new. The induction hob in my room was broken, but the front desk offered to switch rooms. There's a washer and dryer, a large microwave, and a kitchen stocked with many amenities (pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, all very new).
Wi-Fi speed and air conditioning heating performance were just so-so. Soundproofing was decent.
Because of the exterior decorations, you can't see outside from the window.
The front desk staff spoke Chinese and were very nice. They leave at 7 PM. When it rained, they even offered to lend me a large Quest umbrella.
There's a food street called Riverside Market and gift shops nearby, most of which close around 8 PM.
If the shower gel and shampoo bottles hanging in the shower run out, they'll replenish them with small ones.
A beautiful garden hotel. The room was very clean, and my favorite part was the excellent water pressure in the shower. After a tiring day out, coming back to a comfortable hot shower was incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. The breakfast restaurant on the first floor also offers à la carte dinner in the evenings, and the food was surprisingly good, exceeding our expectations.
However, there was a young woman at the front desk, who appeared to be Chinese, and she was arrogant and dishonest when speaking English, which was a real drawback for the hotel. Other than that, the rest of our experience was very good.

GGuest UserA decent hostel in a not-so-far location from the centre. The kitchen and common areas are specious enough and kept clean daily regardless of careless people that were not taught how to clean after themselves. There’s parking available free of charge which is great with an alternative to park on neighbouring streets if full. The beds are not the best, very wobbly and noisy when you turn or tried to climb up. Separate sockets and lights by each bed are great. There are lockers but you need your own bad lock. Staff was polite and friendly.
GGuest UserI was a bit disappointed. I was expecting this to be a 5 star place, but there were a lot of things that were definitely not 5 stars. The robes were grey and didn't cover bigger people. One of them had pilling all over it, I didn't want to even wear it. The bathroom door squeaked loudly, so if one person got up to the toilet in the middle of the night, it woke the other person up. There were instructions on how to use the spa bath, but not on how to put the plug in. It didn't just plug in normally. We weren't able to use it on our first night which was very frustrating as it was one of our main attractions. I rang housekeeping the next day. Someone came and had a look and said that you had to turn a know on the side of the spa, how would anyone know that? The lock on the door to outside was broken and a small slide lock had been put on. Why not fix the main lock? I used the toilets to the side of the library and when I washed my hands, the tap was all loose and wobbled round. All these things are little but show that the lodge needs to have things fixed or updated. For $300 per night, you expect the best. The worse thing was on our last morning, we got to breakfast about 8:45, the restaurant closes at 9:30 am. There was continental and scrambled eggs and bacon. At about 9:00 am they stopped bringing out anymore bread to toast. No more croissants, eggs or bacon were brought out. There were about 6 tables with guests and everyone kept going up and checking, but they didn't refill. People were saying, they must have run out of food! But for some reason the waiter kept lifting the lids to the egg and bacon to see what was in there, but of course there was nothing as he hadn't refilled it and he was the only waiter!! I was really disappointed and wouldn't recommend it, unless you are getting a really good discount.
WWutianwulvyouqingyouyixiangruThe hotel is quite new, and the front desk service is excellent. The rooms are relatively spacious. The location is convenient, offering a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle. The hotel's private ground-level parking is a plus. The hotel offers competitive pricing, much more reasonable than hotels within the scenic area.
SsweetknellneuI just needed a place to stay for one night as a layover, so I booked a hostel close to the airport for convenience. It turned out to be a fantastic experience, so much so that I ended up booking hostels for all my subsequent trips! It was safe, clean, and super easy to get to the airport from there.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is new and very conveniently located for shopping and dining at the pedestrian street, and also for visiting the botanical garden. The room has a washing machine, and there's a kitchen where you can buy groceries and cook your own meals. The room is spacious, and it offers great value for money.
GGuest UserOn our honeymoon, we drove around New Zealand's South Island. We landed in Christchurch in the evening and picked up our rental car the next day. Novotel was the most convenient choice – it's just a one or two-minute walk from the airport. Plus, the parking for all the major rental car companies is right downstairs. This was perfect for us as we just needed to grab the keys from the rental counter at the airport and then pick up the car from the parking lot the next morning.
**Facilities:** The room wasn't huge, but it had everything we needed for an overnight stay.
**Cleanliness:** The room was clean and tidy, and the sheets were spotless. We saw cleaning staff working diligently throughout the morning.
**Environment:** It's within walking distance of the airport, but the soundproofing is excellent; we couldn't hear any airplane noise.
**Service:** Very good, the staff were polite. And the breakfast was fantastic – definitely worth trying!
Ffairy-smileThe location is superb, directly opposite the cathedral. It's a shame, however, that the cathedral is still undergoing renovations and seems several years away from completion. On the bright side, the beautiful Cardboard Cathedral is within easy walking distance. Just outside the entrance, there's a beautiful library with a cafe – a perfect spot for both intellectual nourishment and a coffee or snack. Riverside Market is also very close, easily walkable, and features a wide array of restaurants and bars. While New World supermarket and Chemist Warehouse are a bit further away, they are still within a manageable walking distance, and we opted to walk there. The staff were exceptionally warm and professional. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and the bathrooms featured a convenient wet/dry separation. Luggage storage was also available. Overall, this was, without a doubt, the best value-for-money hotel we stayed at during our entire South Island New Zealand trip.
匿匿名遊客The room is large and spacious. Private full kitchen is provided for your cooking. The whole room is well partitioned into sleeping area, washing room and kitchen which are all tidy and clean. The manager is friendly and can chat with you on different topics. Wifi signal is strong.

FFlightPlanThe hotel environment is nice, and the rooms are quite spacious.
The downside is that the hot water capacity is limited, so be careful if you plan on taking a bath.
Breakfast is à la carte, and the options provided are also quite limited.
