Overall it's OK, but it really doesn't meet the five-star standard. It's relatively old, the location is good, the service is generally OK, but it doesn't meet the five-star standard. I stayed for 9 days, and the housekeeping sometimes knocked on the door at 9 or 10 in the morning. Fortunately, I was awake. I had to check out today. The housekeeping knocked on the door at 9 o'clock, but I was still asleep. Then I hung a sign at the door saying ”Do Not Disturb”. They knocked on the door again and asked what time to check out, but I had already told the front desk about the delayed check-out. I feel that their links are flawed. Some staff feel that they are enthusiastic and enthusiastic about their work, and they will answer questions in a timely manner, but some do feel that their attitude is casual.
The lobby is well decorated, and the rooms are average.
This motel was a bit more than expected, the room was very spacious, but there was a chair missing and we had to stand and eat. The front desk service was very good, when we said that we wanted to stay for one night, we were told that the room was full. Simple breakfast provided but had to bring back to the room to eat as there were no tables and chairs for dining. Overall quite satisfactory.
Comfortable stay with friendly staff and clean rooms. Great location and overall a pleasant experience.”
Let me know if you'd like it to sound more professional, casual, or tailored to a specific hotel type.
The rooms are spacious and you can park on campus. The hotel also has a dedicated parking lot. You can enter and exit by swiping your room card. It is very safe. The hotel is managed by students, which is very unique. The hotel is within walking distance of nearby restaurants and supermarkets. There is a souvenir shop on the first floor, which is very convenient.
Very good, the whole city of Buffalo feels very good, the front desk staff is particularly professional and friendly, the taxi driver is very humorous and highly recommended. It is often raining, and the umbrella has to be prepared.
The air conditioning in the room is not good, it is very cold in winter, and the air conditioning is very loud. The sound insulation of the room is not very good, and the sound of talking in the next room is very clear.

The overall experience was great. We had a small problem with our room but we were immediately moved to another bigger & better room. The staff was most helpful, friendly & courteous. Would have liked to have a ”hot” complementary breakfast.
The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the subway station and major attractions, and it is very convenient to travel. ”
”The surrounding dining and shopping options are rich, and the night view is beautiful.”

Very Good
DDr EddyThe hotel is in a very good location. Alexandra was so nice that she gave us a complimentary breakfast and accommodated us even before our check in time. It was a good experience. Although breakfast has a lack of food variety, it was good.
KKimberley Louise Dight IuffredoWe decided to change hotels from our original in hell's kitchen to this one close to the park. We stayed for 3 nights in march 2024. We had a twin room on the 6th floor. Room 650. The entrance is quite grand and the lobby is really big. We checked in around 1600 hours. It was easy and we were aware of the additional charges, tax , deposit and resort fee. We'd read the reviews about the lifts being busy and some out of order. This was not an issue for us. Easy enough to walk the 6 flights of stairs as necessary. The check in staff were friendly and polite. We asked for a kettle for our room. This was delivered as were tea bags, sugar and milk along with paper cups. The room was ok. The beds were a good size. The view was of the street. The windows opened. The bathroom looked ok too. It had a bath tub. I wanted a bath. The shower was in the bath. On the surface, everything looked clean enough. The decor was a bit tired. There was a safe in the closet. The bedside lights had usb sockets and plug sockets. Very useful.
Once we were settled we started to notice issues. The bath plug didn't close. It was a push down plug. I didn't get to have my bath! The walls in the bathroom were dirty. When the shower water dripped on the tiles you could see black mould running down and into the bath tub. The mirror in the bathroom was peeling. We saw a bug running across the table area! We spoke with the cleaning staff and they said they would clean up the dirty tiles. We also spoke with reception. Someone was sent to our room to fix the plug in the bath tub. They didn't fix it. They removed the casing on the tub and just left it on the side. We reported this again and everything else we came across that was faulty or not acceptable. The staff were very polite and apologetic yet nothing actually got fixed. The edges of the room were really dirty.
The lounge area on the ground floor is really nice and the bar is well stocked. The loos though were not very clean and you did have to queue to get in to them. Access only with a room key.
The actual hotel is connected to the Manhattan Club Hotel. We used the bar on the 26th floor a couple of times. It was really nice.
Upon check out we reiterated the issues that we had and staff were very apologetic and returned our deposit and resort fee. Maybe that's why a resort fee is added to these hotels. You feel like you are getting something back when in fact I don't believe a resort fee is actually that fair. Are you paying for the use of a kettle? The bar? It is listed what the resort fee entitles you to. As I mentioned, I was aware of this.
Would I stay here again? Probably not, despite the great staff and fab location and cheap room rates. I understand there is a refit of the lifts going on. Not sure about cleaning and updating of the decor. Something needs to be done to improve this hotel. I think it was probably quite glamorous back in the day.
AAnchengThe toilet had leaks issue (the room in level 48). Called hotel to fix it but the first engineer was not able to find the issue. The second engineer was able to find the issue but we were leaving New York on the same day. The leak from the toilet is quite gross.
Called hotel for help for the toilet leak issue but one of people took the call just ignore the request (he did not take an action but he said he will )
KKitrynThis hotel is immaculate and absolutely everybody is above and beyond pleasant. Though not directly affiliated with the hotel, Inexpensive, super clean and very easily accessible parking is a two minute walk away at 25 Kent St. We paid $64 for 2 1/2 days of parking. The room was incredible. Exposed brick walls with super high ceilings, the bathroom had a huge tub and a wonderful shower. Pro tip: if traveling with someone that you do not want to see you naked, understand that it is not a one-way mirror over the bar and you absolutely CAN see into the shower While someone is showering. Luckily I was with my daughter, so this was not a real issue. The restaurant within the hotel and the Ramen place directly next-door are both wonderful. I did not make it to the rooftop bar this time but since I absolutely will stay at this hotel every time I come to visit I will check it out next time! The room was extremely quiet, temperature was easy to control. Now, a little too much honesty, I am an extremely “sensitive” person, and resting and hearing so much from the second I stepped into this hotel. I was never scared, as I definitely don’t typically get scared, but I had numerous very genuine and very obvious things happen while I say that this hotel, such as seeing things walk across the hall in both my room and the hallway, in the main lobby bathroom someone walked into the bathroom and into the stall next to me, but never left, and when I looked, there was no one there, and I was in the shower. I could hear several men talking to each other as if they were right next to me. I was definitely not hearing people from another room. I also heard the door to the stair well open, which is right next to our room and I was right next to the door so when I looked, there was nobody there and I pulled it shut again. Just out of curiosity, as to what was there prior to the hotel, on the way home my daughter looked up the history to the hotel. Let’s just say it was very enlightening as to why i was experiencing so much activity in this hotel, especially on the third floor next to what I will assume would have been a fire escape at some point. It also may explain why the first thing that went through my mind when I opened the front door of the hotel and turned to my daughter and said “I’m surprised the hotel gets away with door opening inward. It goes against fire code. Anyway, You can look up the history yourself and understand all that I have said. :-) either way, a spectacular hotel at a decent price and a very safe and beautiful part of the city. I will definitely stay here again!
MMs. ShaniquaOmgosh ... hotel was really nice! Breakfast was excellent and it lasted til 11a, which is pretty awesome for those that like to sleep late. So many options (hot, cold and dry). They offer bacon, sausage, scrambled/cold boiled eggs and breakfast potatoes. Whole fruit (apples and bananas), sliced fruit (melons and pineapples). Cold and hot cereal (oatmeal). Yogurt and granola. You can make your own waffles or pancakes (such a cool machine). Make your own toast and/or select from many pastries or muffins available. So many options! You can even place an order vs. eating from the buffet. They also allow carry-out and to-go boxes. Drink options at the buffet include: coffee, O.J. and apple juice.
PLEASE NOTE:
There's a separate fee for breakfast if not selected when booking.
Having said this, the hotel does not have microwaves in the room, just a fridge. There are microwaves located on each floor though (along w/ vending machines -both are in same location). Our room was spotless and absolutely spacious (no deviation from website)!
We arrived way beyond check-in and did call once we knew we'd arrive later than expected. Spoke with front desk staff who assured everything would be OK, only to arrive and find that our room (which was already paid in full) had been given away. The hotel was only able to provide us a King and a rollaway bed. Of course we were disappointed, but the next morning the hotel Mgr. made everything right. Having said that, the rollaway bed is THE HARDEST THING EVER. We bring our own everything (e.g. bedding, cleaning supplies, etc.) so we were able to make it work and make it comfortable. So much so, we'd chosen to not to be moved to the room we'd originally booked. It rained our entire stay which is what caused us to arrive late in the first place (that's a whole 'notha story). Anyway, the hotel had a few small trash bins about the lobby catching leaks here and there, but that didn't stop anything. I barely even noticed. Had I not been recording how beautiful the hotel was inside, I would've never noticed. Parking is $30/day, it's NYC what do you expect? 🤭 There's also parking on the street if you can get spot. Careful though, NYC parking signs can cause confusion for those not familiar with the City's play on words. All in all, this was great stay for us and I'd certainly stay again. Oh, I forgot to mention -I did! Yes, I extended our stay another night because the hotel and location was exceptional!
p.s. they also offer a seated bar area.
Overall: 10/10✨️
Nn2hx!Just say it. . 1. In addition to the room fee, you have to pay an additional resort tax and a compulsory $55 access fee, which includes the lobby lounge and a water dispenser room, which means that it costs $55 to drink water. 2. This fee does not include the rooftop bar, which cannot be visited for free, and requires a minimum consumption of US$500 on weekends. 3. The app mobile phone room card advertised by the hotel cannot be used at all. 4. There is not much difference between the room types of high floors and low floors. Only the penthouse suite and the bar with a minimum consumption of 500 have this view. 5. The decoration is very good, which is higher than the average level of dirty carpets in New York. Those who dislike carpets can come here. 6. It says on the website that it takes 7 days for the deposit to be refunded when using a foreign credit card. In fact, it has not been refunded at all after a month. . .
GGuest UserI stayed at the Westin Grand Central for a day and service and cleanliness was below standard, so I moved to Hyatt Grand Central for 3 nights. The location was very convenient as it’s right at the top (adjacent) to the Grand Central station. The area was full of restaurants and tourists must visit places - Summit, Empire State Building, Time Square etc. In the hotel, there was a lounge on 16/F which was a good deal especially for a family as it offered continental bfast, snacks, coffee, tea and soft drinks and its charged on a per room bases. The staff at the reception and the concierge were friendly and attentive with the usual Hyatt experiences. I will return in my next visit.
GGuest UserThis is your no frills place for a place to lay your head. It was relatively clean, had all the necessary amenities, adequate breakfast, housekeeping. I would definitely stay here again. It gets the job done a peaceful rest without breaking the bank. The room had a slight odor not sure what it was but maybe they should do a deep clean to all the rooms and bathrooms. It could be just the one I was in. The toilet seat wasn’t cleaned that well but I survived.
AAiMeiLiThe location is good , a few seconds walk to Wall Street , Broadway street, Trinity church, the charging bull , the subway station 10 seconds walk , the pier 11 to Brooklyn was very close , in a nutshell worth to book for the location.
I was shocked that the hotel doesn’t provide simple things like toothbrushes and paste and comb or cups , no kettle , no robes, no mini fridge, no iron, nothing. No water in the hotel . These are basic things especially for a 4 star hotel . If people stay for 1 night it’s not important but if u book it for 7 nights, u need to have some coffee or tea or hot water if u feel cold or wanna get some warm water u don’t have it . The reception had some hot water but the elevators were always busy so it’s a headache. Also the neighbors were very noisy , the walls were not blocking the sound. I could hear them using the bathroom.
