The 45th Yokohama Port Festival will be held on June 1st (Monday) and June 2nd (Tuesday), 2026, for two days. This is a civic festival aimed at celebrating the anniversary of the opening of Yokohama Port. Event locations include Rinko Park, the Minato Mirai 21 area, the New Port area, and surrounding areas. This year's festival, themed "Thank You, Port," aims to express gratitude for the port, revitalize the city, and promote urban development and tourism recovery.

Enjoy the "flowers blooming in the night sky" at Yokohama Port. Throughout the year, including winter, the night sky around Yokohama Port is briefly illuminated by fireworks, especially on weekends. Near Yokohama Port (Minatomirai, Osanbashi Pier), the Yokohama Night Flowers Festival is a five-minute fireworks display.

TREASURE is a global boy group that debuted under YG ENTERTAINMENT on August 7, 2020, and the slew of newcomer awards they won in 2021 earned them the nickname "monster rookies."In 2024, their second JAPAN TOUR "2024 TREASURE TOUR [REBOOT] IN JAPAN" was held in seven cities across eight venues with sixteen performances, breaking the record from their first tour with a total of 300,000 attendees. In July of the same year, they held the fan meeting "2024 TREASURE FAN MEETING ~ WONDERLAND ~" with 23 performances across six cities and a total of 170,000 people attended - an unprecedented scale for a Korean boy band.With a total of 39 shows for both tours and a total audience of nearly 500,000 people, they are drawing a great deal of attention as a global boy group that is focused on their live shows.From 2025 through early 2026, TREASURE successfully completed their third Japan tour, “PULSE ON.” The 15-show run attracted over 300,000 attendees, demonstrating the group’s formidable strength and influence as “live performers.”In 2026, TREASURE is set to launch a brand-new fan tour—“TREASURE THE STAGE 2026 IN JAPAN.” The tour will visit seven cities across Japan, with a total of 15 performances.

This summer, embark on a flower-themed picnic and admire over 20,000 hydrangeas at the 26th Hakkeishoma Hydrangea Festival. The free event runs from June 6th to June 28th, allowing you to explore Hakkeishoma (approximately a 30-minute train ride from Yokohama) and its eight hydrangea viewing spots.

Yokohama Bay Area will host the summer illumination event "Night of Lanterns" from May 30th to September 23rd, 2026. Now in its seventh year, "Yokohama Night of Lanterns" has become a popular summer tradition in Yokohama. The event venue recreates the streetscape of Hoi An, Vietnam, creating a dreamlike space full of exotic charm, making visitors feel as if they are in a foreign land. To celebrate the museum's 20th anniversary, the number of lanterns decorating the museum has been significantly increased, reaching a record high of 1,000. This year's event is even more spectacular than ever before, with additional photo spots added to the main plaza and three other locations within the museum. These brightly colored lanterns, all handcrafted by Vietnamese artisans, will bring dazzling light to the entire venue. A new highlight is the approximately 4-meter-high "Lantern Cube." Stepping into this space surrounded by lanterns, one is immersed in a magical experience of interwoven light and shadow. In addition, a brand-new photo spot has been set up, inspired by the lantern stalls on the streets of Hoi An. Besides last year's popular Ao Dai dress-up experience and round-trip ticket raffle in partnership with Vietnam Airlines, this year's event also features a variety of programs, including a lantern painting experience for the whole family, and a special "Adult Night" program designed specifically for adults, allowing them to comfortably enjoy the evening.

This exhibition is a world tour from the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London, and the Yokohama Museum of Art is the first and only venue in Japan to host it.
