The first-ever 30th Anniversary Festival of the EVANGELION series is coming. From April 2025 to March 2026, fireworks will be set off every month throughout the year to decorate Yokohama Port. A total of 20 or more launches are planned, primarily on weekends. Depending on the launch date, 150 fireworks will be launched within approximately 5 minutes from the New Port Pier, the Ōmitsu Bridge, the Yamashita Pier, or simultaneously from two locations. Year-round, including winter, the night sky around Yokohama Port will be briefly illuminated by fireworks, especially on weekends. The 2026 Yokohama Chinatown Chinese New Year Lantern Festival, themed "Auspicious and Prosperous Year of the Horse," symbolizes best wishes for the Year of the Horse in 2026: good fortune and all things going smoothly. Strings of lanterns and paper lanterns will illuminate the entire Chinatown sky, creating a dazzling light show with a red theme. The most eye-catching feature is one of Japan's largest dragon lanterns, which will be displayed above Chinatown Avenue; while a smaller, more charming dragon lantern will dance above Shanghai Road. The streets of Yokohama Chinatown will be adorned with red lanterns and various Chinese New Year-themed decorations, making the entire city shine brightly.

The Yokohama Chinese New Year Festival Executive Committee will hold the 2026 Yokohama Chinese New Year Festival from January 20th (Tuesday) to March 3rd (Tuesday), creating a festive winter atmosphere in Yokohama. Magnificent "giant lanterns" will be set up at approximately 60 locations, including shopping streets in the city center's waterfront area, major stations, and commercial facilities. Some venues will also feature spectacular lion dance performances. In addition, "Yokohama Night Flowers × Greenery × Expo 2027" will feature fireworks with a dragon dance theme, illuminating Yokohama at night.

This year's theme is "Strawberry Trip," bringing together strawberry stories and flavors from all over Japan, allowing visitors to experience a journey through Japan's strawberry paradise. The Hina dolls and ornaments exhibited in this exhibition were primarily donated by Masui Ota. Mr. Ota's Hina dolls and ornaments are remarkably diverse and numerous. The collection includes traditional dolls such as standing Hina dolls, creative Hina dolls by doll maker Mitsuhiko Noguchi, basic items such as seashell buckets, essential Hina ornaments, rare items such as tower clocks, and Hina ornaments reflecting Hina festival customs, such as soba noodle boxes. These items form the foundation of the Hina doll-related collection at the Yokohama Doll Museum.
