"Painting as Face, Soul in Line—Pan Yuliang Art Exhibition" Exhibition dates: August 25, 2026–November 29, 2026 Exhibition venue: Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning, Exhibition Hall A3 Pan Yuliang (1895–1977) was a representative painter in the modernization process of modern and contemporary Chinese art, and a pioneering Chinese woman who, as early as the 20th century, used her individual will to break through the shackles of gender and establish her own position in the international art scene. This exhibition will present 90 exquisite original works by Pan Yuliang, including oil paintings, color ink paintings, and line drawings, using her artistic creation and life trajectory as dual threads to present her complete life journey, from being one of the first female students at the Shanghai Art School, to studying in Paris and Rome, and finally winning numerous international awards, including the Gold Medal in Belgium and the Dorland Prize in France. The exhibition will reconstruct her psychological world through a rich collection of works, combine it with her legendary experiences, re-establish Pan Yuliang's position in art history, re-examine her achievements in modern art fusion practices, and respond to contemporary issues of identity, body, and self-construction.
