Join us in July for an inspiring evening with Alfie Bowen – award-winning wildlife photographer, author, and advocate for autism acceptance.
Alfie’s photography captures the beauty and wonder of the natural world, offering a unique perspective shaped by his experiences as an autistic individual. His work and story inspire us to see the world differently and appreciate the strengths and talents that come with neurodiversity.
Diagnosed with autism, Alfie faced challenges in school and social situations but found connection and inspiration through animals and photography. Today, he says:
“After many years of social exclusion as a result of my autism, I have finally found my calling. I am a dreamer, and I am living my dream.”
Alfie’s journey highlights the creativity, resilience, and unique perspectives that autistic people bring to the world. This event is a chance to celebrate neurodiversity, be inspired by his story, and gain a deeper understanding of the autistic experience.
Who should attend?
This event is open to anyone with an interest in autism, including autistic individuals, families, carers, teachers, health and social care professionals, and community members.
The atmosphere will be relaxed and inclusive, providing a space to learn, share experiences, and gain a better understanding of the autistic perspective. Light refreshments will be served afterwards – the trustees would be delighted if you could stay and connect with others.
