The opening ceremony is held at 6:30 PM on the first day. Starting at 3 PM on the second day, a ceremony is held to burn amulets and talismans offered by devotees. The closing ceremony is held on the third day, and the gates of the Higashika Daimyo Shrine are officially closed until they reopen the following year. Afterwards, members of the Hiroshima Taiko Preservation Association present a taiko drum performance.
