As the host of The Curious Cabaret, Chris is sure to charm and beguile you with his own brand of wit and wonder, and maybe a card trick thrown in for good measure. To dub Nikola Arkane a Magic Close-up Champion is not hyperbole – in recent years she has won several prestigious conjuring competitions. Hailing from Belfast, Northern Ireland she has managed to captivate audiences and viewers across the world with a unique, fresh and theatrical style of magic. Nikola Arkane has been a regular guest performer at international venues like The Chicago Magic Lounge’s Virtual Cocktail hour, Monday Night Magic in New York, The Amsterdam Magic Show and has performed several times and been the headliner for The Magic Castle’s virtual magic shows on behalf of The Academy of Magical Arts in Hollywood. ---------- Alternating between subtle humour and passionate drama, sometimes from moment to moment, and sometimes in the same breath, Tom Stone, a magician who plays with what we see, and with what we think we see. His great passion for magic as an art form, his respect for its roots and its old masters, and his talent for dissecting human cognition and perception – and his ability to twist and turn the parts and put them together into something completely new, have given him recognition and respect from professional magicians around the world. The National Badminton League continues at the the university, as the competition returns to the courts. The #GreenandGold will hope to start 2025 with a victory against visitors Skyfall. Expect to see an incredibly high level of badminton on campus with the very best players from the University of Nottingham Badminton Club in the squad. Head out onto campus and support the side to victory and enjoy a fantastic night of live sport. The 5 matches on the night will include: 1 x Men's singles match1 x Women's singles match1 x Men's doubles match1 x Women's doubles match1 x Mixed doubles matchDoors open at 6.30pm, with matches scheduled to begin at 7pm. Getting to David Ross Sports Village & Entry The match will take place in the sports hall at David Ross Sports Village with bleacher seating for spectators. Please make sure that you have your ticket QR to hand when entering the facility, as well as your student ID if required. David Ross Sports Village is situated on the University of Nottingham Campus, accessible from the West and North entrances. Carry-in policy Sealed bottles of water and soft drinks, and personal size food items (e.g., a sandwich, crisps, piece of fruit) are all permitted.
