The Blue Pond Light Show offers a variety of light modes that tell a story in about 10 minutes. When the water is frozen or snowy, the lighting program changes. Gradients in the lighting are added to create depth. Shadows become clearer, allowing you to admire the stars and the pond, the snowfall and the pond, and the shadows of the larch trees.

The illumination took place in Sounkyo Onsen, located at the foot of the Daisetsuzan Mountains and renowned for Japan's earliest autumn leaves. The walkways of the hot spring town's Momiji Valley were transformed into a dreamlike landscape, illuminated by vibrant lights and digital art that interacted with people's movements.

The Sounkyo Onsen Ice Waterfall Festival is one of Hokkaido's most representative winter events. The approximately 10,000 square meter venue, which uses the riverbed of the Ishikari River, features about 30 ice sculptures of various sizes, as well as a 13-meter-tall icehouse, an observation deck, a tube slide, and an ice waterfall. There are also shrines and other tourist attractions. The ice sculptures, which took about three months to create, taking advantage of the natural environment of the deep valley at the foot of the snowy mountains, emit seven-colored lights at night, creating a fantastic space. During the festival, a variety of activities will be held on stage, and fireworks will beautifully light up the cold night sky.
