A new fireworks display was held in Sapporo, Hokkaido, launching approximately 18,000 fireworks to brighten the autumn night sky. Using the Sapporo Dome as the venue, state-of-the-art digital technology controlled ignition in fractions of a second, creating a fireworks show perfectly synchronized with the music.

The Sapporo Autumn Festival is a culinary event themed "Hokkaido and Sapporo's Gourmet Food," which began in 2008. Held across seven areas in Odori Park in central Sapporo, the festival stretches approximately 1 kilometer and features 300 shops, attracting over 2 million visitors annually.
