We are proud to present “From Passion to Practice: Art in Unexpected Places” an exhibition celebrating the artistic expressions of creatives who practice outside the traditional boundaries of fine art. As a collective of tattoo artists at the forefront of their practice both nationally and internationally; this exhibition challenges creative expression beyond the demands and limitations of operating a commercial and client centered practice. Instead, it is an exploration of art as nourishment—an invitation for artists to engage with their art as a creative outlet without the result demands of their full-time artistic practice. Offering a refreshing take on how creativity can thrive in unexpected places, The Ink Factory is transformed to house a re-thinking of art-making from their cohort of established artists to include a selection of ceramics, painting, drawing, sculpture and more. Join us for this special event, where we will be showcasing a variety of objects, images and musings, as well as an exciting life drawing opportunity on the night. Fausto Aranos, Ana Barandiaran, Eoin Boles, Yasmin Borges, Chris Caballero, Darragh Chan, Evgeniya Em, Marcell Khiesz, Tali Manriquez, Mauricio Moraga, Rafa Ramos, Ash Sheridan, Darragh Sherry, Mateus Turcato, Alan Villa, Vilius Žibinas “From Passion to Practice: Art in Unexpected Places” is supported by The Ink Factory in collaboration with Evgeniya Em & curator Rachael Melvin.
