A cocktail strut - part of Rugby’s Food Festival September 2025 Let me take you on a guided walking tour of the greatest cocktail venues in the historic town of Rugby. I'm ‘Fizz’, and I am the manager and chief mixologist of the Aviary Bar in Rugby. Situated at 25 High Street, we opened last November and quickly became one of Rugby's cocktail destinations, but there are many others to discover! As part of the Rugby Food Festival & in conjunction with RugbyFirst, I would like to take you to some of the most interesting cocktail venues in town. I want to showcase the quality and variety on offer in our town, teach you some of the rich history of mixology and of course, give you the chance to sample some famous cocktails. You’ve all seen those ‘walking tours’ of towns & cities where some ‘know-it-all’ with an umbrella takes a group of people around either haunted buildings, or notable sites? This is no average walking tour, nor a pub crawl, but a cocktail strut and with me as that ‘know-it-all’ in charge. As an author, I have writen many articles on the history of individual cocktails explaining how they got their names and where they originate from, so get ready for a fun, informative strut around town. Included in your ticket price is: I.D. check with your guide - so no need to prove your age time and time again. A map with details of each venue and other venues in town you can enjoy cocktails. A guide with specialist knowledge of mixology. A guided walking tour, stoping at (four) venues for a cocktail & a nibble at each.
