Vanessa Bear is the author of the Wild and Wellbeing Card Deck which offers creative, embodied, and mindful ways to reconnect with nature. These seasonal guided walks in the South Lake District will feature these. The walks will be the same route at different points of the year, to notice seasonal changes and help you to realign with nature's cycles. The exercises shared can be simply enjoyed on the day or incorporated into your daily life to continue this sense of connection, belonging, and sense of calm. Vanessa is a qualified and experienced Mountain Leader, Forest School Practitioner, Psychotherapist, Yoga Teacher, and Wellbeing Coach, each of these inform her walks. Whilst these walks will not be therapy, Vanessa will be facilitating space for nature to act therapeutically. We shall move with steady ease, taking our time to notice our surroundings and stopping often for connection activities. The walk does involve some physical exertion over some rough and hilly ground, with 300m of elevation and around 6-7km. The end time listed here is an estimated finish time and will depend on the pace of the group, though the walk may be adjusted on the day to best suit the weather, group, timing, to be as close to the advertised end time as possible. This walk has limited accessibility depending on mobility, as it will be on footpaths with some stiles. After booking, you will be sent a list of recommended things to bring and wear. You are also encouraged to bring a hot drink and snacks. These walks will be held at four points of the year: Lammas, Samhain, Imbolc and Beltain. Lammas is a time to honor the bountiful gifts of the land and acknowledge the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Terms & Conditions Please note, the walk may not go ahead if the numbers are low, or in very bad weather such as high winds. We will try to give you as much notice as possible of this, but we recommend getting insurance to cover accommodation and travel expenses in case this happens. If there is not enough people booked on to the course, then we will either reschedule or you will get a refund. Refund Policy 1 week before the workshop you will be offered a full refund or a change of date. Within 7 days of the workshop, unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund or change of date. In this case, we suggest you give your place to a colleague or friend. This is because it can be very difficult and time consuming to fill the place in that time. Please email to arrange a name change for a ticket and so that we can get the health details of the new attendee. Information Source: Wild and Wellbeing | eventbrite
