Join the 2-day Rennrad Tour from Berlin to Prag, inspired by the FLUX RC Epic Rides. This cycling adventure is perfect for those with a passion for road biking, as we ride in formation, without heavy luggage or attachments. Experience the thrill of riding in pairs on the road, with rotating leadership. We maintain an average speed of approximately 31 km/h in flat areas, taking deliberate short breaks along the way. Day 1 takes us from Berlin to Dresden, covering a distance of 218 km and an elevation gain of 860 hm. While the flat profile of the route may allow us to stay together as a group throughout the day, it depends on various factors and cannot be guaranteed. We have planned three scheduled stops where you can meet our support vehicle: at Tourkm 87 Schloss Lübben, Tourkm 140 Sedlitz (potentially at the new harbor), and Tourkm 185 in Thiendorf. At the end of the tour, we will meet you at the Dresden Opera in the city center to return your luggage. Please arrange your own accommodation in Dresden. We will reserve a restaurant for 19:30 where you can join the team for an evening gathering. On Day 2, we continue our journey from Dresden to Prag, covering a distance of 171 km with an elevation gain of 1,980 hm. This leg includes some challenging climbs and two planned rest stops. We start from the picturesque Dresden Old Town and ride through the well-maintained Müglitztal, where you'll have the opportunity to conquer the Erzgebirgskamm together with a group of riders, crossing the border into Czech Republic at Tourkilometer 55. After the first rest stop at km 60, we continue through the Czech countryside, navigating quieter secondary roads. From kilometer 75, there will be some smaller inclines, which we will leave behind at km 90. After the second rest stop at kilometer 112, we cross the Moldau River and enjoy a tranquil ride along its banks until we reach the historic city center of Prag. Please note that if you encounter any luggage issues in Dresden or Prag, simply call our team van and we will find a solution. You can find the track information for both legs of the tour on Komoot and Strava. Throughout the tour, we aim to ride in pairs, taking turns leading the group. However, in mountainous areas, this may not always be possible. There is no guarantee of always being part of the group, so participants should be prepared to complete the route alone or in parts if necessary. We also have some technical support on board our RocketVan, including essentials for standard repairs. However, it is crucial that you bring your own reliable equipment and be self-sufficient during the tour. We provide some refreshments during the day, including fresh water, coffee, oat milk, bananas, sweet snacks, energy bars, and isotonic powder. Please ensure you bring enough of your preferred snacks and drinks for the two long days, as our offerings are meant to complement your own provisions. We aim to keep our breaks short, as amenities such as fuel stations, grocery stores, and bakeries may be scarce along the route. At the end of the tour in Prag, you can plan your return journey using public transportation options such as trains or regular Flixbuses. If you wish to continue cycling and have special luggage to be transported on our RocketVan, please inform us in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements. You can also leave your "civilian" luggage for the evenings and return trip on our van in Berlin. Please note that large bicycle bags are not possible, and the exact location for luggage collection in Prag will be provided later. We are here to find solutions and assist you as needed, so feel free to communicate directly with us. The RocketVan will depart for Berlin on Sunday, October 6th.
