Join the Ceramic Turtle Workshop at Del Ray Artisans in Alexandria, VA on February 24, 2024. This beginner-friendly workshop offers a unique opportunity to design and create a one-of-a-kind keepsake turtle using stoneware clay. Under the guidance of instructor Diana Manchak, participants will learn how to hand-build a turtle by shaping soft clay into various patterns, and adding limbs and a head to complete their creation. This workshop will teach fundamental clay techniques that serve as the building blocks for all clay work.

This workshop is open to adults and participants aged 13 and above. To ensure a personalized experience, the class size is limited to 8-12 participants. Please wear appropriate clothing for art projects or bring a smock. The workshop fee includes the instructor drying and firing each turtle, and the finished pieces can be picked up at the gallery. Each participant will have the opportunity to choose one or two glaze colors for their turtle.

In the event that the workshop does not reach the minimum number of students within 3 days, it may be canceled at the instructor's discretion. Refunds will be provided for canceled workshops. Participants who withdraw from the workshop 72 hours or more in advance will receive a refund of the Workshop Fee and any Supply Fee, minus a 15% processing fee. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the workshop will not be eligible for a refund.
