This discounted rock climbing/bouldering session is open to CapU students, taking place at the Hive North Shore. This activity provides an opportunity to get active in a fun, and unique way. This event will take place on Wednesday November 27th, 2:30pm-4:30pm (or as late as you'd like to stay). Join us in getting active before finals!
Please arrive on time to ensure time to sign waivers, get climbing shoe rentals, and orientation of the facililty. Come wearing clothes you can move around and sweat in!
We will meet at the benches outside of Hive North Shore together before going in.

The plank road is a must-see attraction when visiting the suspension bridge park. In fact, there is no danger. Even people like me who are afraid of heights think it is okay. The scenery here is super good, with mountains, water, lush greenery, and pleasant scenery.

Grouse is a top choice for hiking in Vancouver, with the biggest advantage being the cable car ride down, which helps protect your knees and avoids the safety hazards of descending. The climb is approximately 800 meters, with two routes: one is a more man-made, steeper route, while the other is a natural path maintained by volunteers and is slightly gentler, but still quite challenging overall. The shortest recorded climb is in about 20 minutes, but most people take between one and two hours. In the summer of 2025, a new record was set: someone climbed to the top and took the cable car down (which takes 6-8 minutes) 21 times in one day. Grouse is holding a series of centennial celebrations this year. For tourists from all over the world, especially those arriving by cruise ship in the summer, there are free shuttle buses from the cruise terminal to the starting point, making it very convenient for everyone to explore.

Lynn Canyon Park has complete facilities for tourists, including walking trails in the forest, swaying suspension bridges over the canyon, waterfalls, and colorful streams. It is a great place for families, children, and friends to hike together and explore the forest canyon! Parking is charged at $3 per hour.

Th&eacute; trails in Lynn Canyon starting at the suspension bridge is breath taking. The bridge is not as long as Capilano but it&rsquo;s free of entrance. The only fee you need to pay is for parking. They do have a small kiosk for drinks and snacks. There are several trails you can take. it&rsquo;s easy to navigate as they have location maps in certain points to f the trail. At some point you will come across a small waterfall. There is also some areas where you can go for a dip. the water is quite cold tho even if it&rsquo;s in the summer. I&rsquo;m used to the south east beach temperature of water. There are many hikers along the trails. Some bring their dogs along. most dogs were on leash but some were not. but if you are bringing your dog, please do put them on the leash for safety reasons.
