Learn the art of cutting exquisite gemstones with our faceting machines in a comprehensive 6-part class. Led by experienced instructor Mike Froebe, this Gemstone Faceting class will take place at NW Rockhounds in Seattle. The class will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, starting from December 4th until December 15th, with each session running from 6pm to 9pm. Over the course of 18 hours, participants will delve into the fundamentals of selecting and faceting gemstones.

During the class, students will receive a rough stone to cut and will be guided through the step-by-step process of creating their own faceted gem. The curriculum encompasses various aspects, including understanding the functioning of faceting machines, exploring the science of optics (no mathematical knowledge required), and mastering the intricate art of polishing gemstones. Participants will gain valuable insights into identifying the key characteristics of gem rough and discovering the secrets behind a gem's dazzling sparkle.

Furthermore, this class provides a platform for students to connect with resources and experts in the field, facilitating their ongoing skill development. To ensure a smooth experience, kindly check your email a few days prior to the class for additional instructions.

Please note that our classroom has limited seating for this class, accommodating only 4 students. Similar to attending a sporting event or concert, purchasing a ticket secures your seat and is non-transferable to another session or eligible for store credit.
