A celebration of the boundary-pushing career of artist Leigh Bowery Leigh Bowery’s short but extraordinary life left a distinct, undeniable mark on the art world and beyond. An artist, performer, model, TV personality, club promoter, fashion designer and musician, Bowery took on many different roles, all the while refusing to be limited by convention. From his emergence in the nightlife of 1980s London through to his later daring and outrageous performances in galleries, theatres, and the street, Bowery fearlessly forged his own vibrant path. He reimagined clothing and makeup as forms of painting and sculpture, tested the limits of decorum, and celebrated the body as a shape-shifting tool with the power to challenge norms of aesthetics, sexuality and gender. Embracing performance, club culture and fashion design, Bowery created some of the most iconic images of the 1980s and 90s that continue to resonate, with his influence seen in the work of figures such as Alexander McQueen, Jeffrey Gibson, Anohni, and Lady Gaga. This eclectic and immersive exhibition is a rare chance to experience many of Bowery’s ‘Looks’ alongside his collaborations with artists including Michael Clark, Charles Atlas, Nick Knight, Fergus Greer, Stephen Willats, Nicola Rainbird, Mr Pearl, and Lucian Freud. It will provide a fresh insight into the creative scenes in London, New York and beyond featuring Sue Tilley, Princess Julia, Jeffrey Hinton, RuPaul, Les Child, Andrew Logan, Cerith Wyn Evans, Lady Bunny, Trojan, Rachel Auburn, Scarlett Cannon, Lanah P, MINTY and Boy George. Today, I was fortunate to embark on a cultural journey across time and space under the guidance of teacher Diana, starting from the glorious civilization of ancient Egypt, as if I was riding a time machine and traveling through the history and art of all parts of the world.

Teacher Diana from Beijing is elegant and knowledgeable, as if the entire British Museum is her &quot;home&quot;. She knows every exhibit well, just like taking a walk in her own back garden, and every detail is at her fingertips. Her explanation is easy to understand, rigorous and professional, and full of fun, which makes people sigh at her profound knowledge and expression ability.

At the beginning, I was still worried that the three-hour guided tour would be too long, but soon found that the worry was completely unnecessary. Every minute was full of surprises and gains, time passed quickly, and in the end I felt that I was still not satisfied! If there is a chance, I will definitely sign up for a ten-hour or even longer in-depth tour without hesitation.

What impressed me more was the strong &quot;Beijing gene&quot; in teacher Diana. Her hearty atmosphere and humor made the whole explanation process both friendly and vivid, completely breaking the stereotype of traditional museum tours. When I listened to her explanation, I often couldn&#39;t help but smile while concentrating on the exhibits. It felt like listening to Song Dandan&#39;s jokes - interesting but thought-provoking.

As a museum lover, I always believe that an excellent guide can make a museum shine with a new charm. And Teacher Diana is the kind of person who can make a museum &quot;alive&quot;.

P Westminster Abbey (Westminster Abbey), officially known as the &quot;St. Peter&#39;s Union Church&quot;, known as the &quot;Spire of Honor&quot;, is located on the southwest side of Parliament Square in London, England, and was ordered to be built in 1050 by the religious king Edward I and built in 1065. The existing church was rebuilt by Henry III in 1245 and was added throughout the ages until the 15th century. It is the highest-status church in England. It is considered a masterpiece of British Gothic architecture.
