MPavilion 10 presents an engaging workshop called "Mapping With Touch" that offers a unique approach to map-making. Departing from traditional 2D mark-making, this workshop explores the use of texture and touch to create information. With a focus on material communications and the decision-making process, participants will examine the perspectives behind map creation and the individuals involved. Taking place at Alexandra Gardens, near MPavilion in Melbourne, this site-responsive workshop encourages participants to explore the surroundings, gathering objects of interest to incorporate into their own personal, site-specific map. Through the use of various mapping techniques and tools, including images, plain paper, seeds, and fabric, participants will delve into the sensory aspects of mapping and their connection to place. By transforming the paper into a 3D representation of the area, the workshop aims to provide a tactile experience that goes beyond the traditional flat map. "Mapping With Touch" is a result of the 2023 M_Curators program, which supports young and ambitious art, design, and creative workers. This program is made possible with the support of Bloomberg Philanthropies. Collaborators for this workshop include Makushla Harper, an emerging industrial designer; Joy Zhou, a transdisciplinary artist and design practitioner; and Giorgia Pisano, a design researcher, practitioner, and educator. The view from the top is great. To be honest, you can go to the edge experience or not. You will experience it with strangers, but the photos are taken separately. The photo printing fee is $20, and the queue time is a bit long. You have to wait for a while after walking around. Fortunately, there is free wifi on the top

Lovely place to walk past on the way to the Melbourne museum. This time of the year, there&rsquo;s autumn leaves covering the walkways. There is even a small pond with some ducks in the corner. And right in front of the royal exhibition hall, there is a fountain where sometimes you will catch couples taking their wedding photos here.
