5-Star Hotels in Hessen, Germany

The Westin Grand Frankfurt offers an excellent central location with unbeatable access to public transport and nearby markets, but the in-room climate control and wellness facilities were disappointing during this stay.�� Overall, it works well as a convenient city base, especially if you value being close to U- and S-Bahn connections and local weekend markets.��Room and comfortThe room itself was comfortable but unfortunately too warm, and it was not obvious how to adjust the temperature settings. There was no clear guidance in-room on changing the climate controls, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.Facilities and closuresAlthough the hotel advertises an indoor pool and sauna as part of its wellness offering, both the pool and sauna were closed during this stay, which was a let-down.�� This is worth checking in advance if these facilities are important for your trip.Location and transportThe location is one of the hotel’s strongest points, set on Konrad-Adenauer-Straße right by the Zeil shopping area and within easy reach of major sights.�� U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations are very close, making it simple to reach Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, the airport and other parts of the city in just a few minutes.��Markets and nearby vibeThe surrounding area has a lively city feel, and there is a weekend market within walking distance, adding a nice local touch to the stay.�� Being able to step out of the hotel and quickly reach both shops and market stalls is a real advantage if you enjoy browsing food and local products.��Overall impressionThis hotel is a solid choice for location and public transport access, especially if you plan to explore Frankfurt’s centre and markets on foot.�� However, unclear room temperature controls and the closure of the pool and sauna during the stay meant the experience did not fully meet expectations.

Pros: The room was spacious, and the location was convenient, only a few minutes' walk to both the airport and the train station. Cons: The room facilities were severely outdated, with many items broken. - The air conditioning was an old-fashioned knob type, only allowing adjustments for on/off and fan speed. Initially, it was broken and didn't cool at all. A repairman later fixed it. - The bathroom sliding door was broken and couldn't be moved, so I couldn't close the door when using the toilet or showering. - The refrigerator was broken and didn't cool. It felt like the entire hotel was falling apart. I called, but they didn't attempt repairs or offer a room change; they just gave me an ice bucket. - As I needed to refrigerate food, I requested a new ice bucket a few days later, but no one delivered it even after an hour. The entire service was very problematic. - The restaurant was shared with the adjacent hotel. Some waiters showed discrimination, asking guests of Asian descent to squeeze into small two-person tables, but had no issue with white guests occupying larger tables, and never bothered to ask if coffee was needed.

Checked the new renovated rooms and it was still an immaculate stay overall experience as expected ! Special thanks to brasserie ici and cross restaurants making it a great stay,too!

I don’t think it’s appropriate to list you have Fitness facilities on site when it is actually a private gym that can be overwhelming busy with their own members, smells of sweat and have to hustle to find a machine to use ?! If that is the experience you offer for 5 stars standards the hotel claims and the price range, something is fundamentally wrong with hospitality concepts in Germany. And just on principle I would not recommend anyone to stay at a venue with misleading information

We stayed during the Easter Weekend at the Steigenberger Icon Frankfurter Hof to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and it was a truly lovely experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and went out of their way to be accommodating, which made the stay feel extra special. They even arranged champagne and a birthday cake for him as I had requested, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the celebration feel truly memorable. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was elegant yet comfortable, and everything was handled with great attention to detail. One of the highlights for me was the spa, it was quiet, clean, and very relaxing, the perfect place to unwind. Another big plus is the location, the hotel is surrounded by great restaurants and lovely bars, making it easy to enjoy the city without going far. Overall, we really enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend it for a special occasion or a relaxing getaway.❤️

I am shocked and surprised by the standard of this hotel. Le Meridien is a famous chain globally but this hotel can me give a standard of three star hotel. Amenities, environment including lift has a very low quality. I could not sleep the whole night as it was hot and the air cooling was not enough. I was advised the cooling does not go below 24 degrees. In a hotel chain like Le Meridien, it's not acceptable at all. I didn't check the other facilities as I was totally disappointed as soon as I entered the hotel. Le Meridien should not continue with this property with their name as this will definitely ternish their image worldwide.

Facilities: The facilities are very new. Cleanliness: It was very clean. Environment: The environment is good. Service: The service was warm and friendly. The location is excellent, quite close to all the attractions, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The only downside was that our room faced a construction building.

Highly recommend! Modern new hotel with bold design especially in the use of colors. Spacious room and reasonably clean, though I deducted 1 mark from cleanliness due to the strong odor in the corridor from recent renovation and some dust on the inside of the wardrobe, leaving some dusts on the sleeves of my jackets as well. Excellent location, right next to the luxury shopping street and right in the heart of the city. Direct access to the S and U-bahn with escalators. Amenities-wise, you can ring the reception to get you anything you need, even curling iron! 10 out of 10! Would highly recommend!

Extremely satisfied with this hotel. The service was top-notch 👍🏻. As soon as we got out of the car, a staff member proactively helped us with our luggage. The service staff were all very polite. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and there was a free mini-bar that was refilled daily. The gym, pool, and sauna were all on B1; it would have been perfect if the pool had a view with sunlight streaming in! 😍

The hotel is in the park, with convenient parking. There are not many rooms in the whole hotel, which are small but exquisite, very beautiful, and have a sense of history. The rooms are quite large. The breakfast environment is beautiful and exquisite.
