Anonymous UserIt is located right next to the Dogo Onsen main building, even though the arrival could be a little bit hassle due to the steep slope going up the the hotel main lobby, after your check in, you can have a better access with 2 elevators up and down to the main street privately for hotel guests only. The breakfast is so so, could be better.

Guest UserThis is a true classic onsen resort hotel with a fantastic ambiance. The half-board plan (dinner and breakfast) was very satisfying. The service truly stood out; we informed the front desk in advance that our child wouldn't eat raw fish or cold tofu from the Kaiseki menu, and they quickly changed it to tempura. The veteran chef's hospitality and profound skill were undeniable. The natural onsen water at Dogo Onsen was also incredibly relaxing. The actual size of the room must have been over 40 tatami mats; it's the most satisfying Japanese-style room I've ever stayed in.

I booked a Japanese-style room. The room was spacious and very clean, and came with complimentary snacks, sake, and orange juice. Both breakfast and dinner were fantastic. Dinner was a 10-course Kaiseki meal, and every dish was delicious. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of choices, with the seafood donburi being particularly outstanding. There were four different baths to choose from. Overall, I felt it offered excellent value for money.

The hotel is located near Dogo Bath, a three- to four-minute walk from the bath. The environment is beautiful, and the facilities are complete (typical of hot spring hotels, including free massage chairs). The hot spring baths are comfortable, clean, and the staff are very helpful. The rooms are clean, and the breakfast is plentiful.

Guest UserIn conclusion, for the same price, I personally think a regular hotel would be a better fit. I don't think I'll be returning.
[Room]
The room was cleaner than I expected. However, since it's an old house, the windows didn't close all the way, which was disappointing, letting in plenty of insects.
[Facilities]
The bathroom was modern and nice, but the shower was a bit awkwardly positioned.
The temperature control was too low, and the chair was too low.
[Staff]
The service varied from staff to staff, which was a real shame. For example, at breakfast, some days they provided explanations and some didn't, and the level of service varied depending on the staff.
Also, the breakfast area was hectic and bustling, making it difficult to enjoy a meal.

If I had the money, I would stay there for a whole month.
It was such a happy experience.
The staff were friendly, the hot springs were great, and the room condition was great.
It was the most impressive place during my trip to Matsuyama.

Beautiful location full of nature with polite customer service, dishes full of Ehime's charm, all were very nice.
I used it on my wedding anniversary, but it made me a very good memory.
It was a hotel that could be refreshed in nature.

This hotel is located on the top of a mountain and was designed by Tadao Ando. There are seven rooms in total, one per floor, including the new building and the main building. Because we arrived late today, the hotel left four staff members to serve us. They had been emailing us to inquire about the arrival time and whether we had food allergies. They were very caring and meticulous. We booked a semi-open-air hot spring forest room. The room is large, but the decoration style is very Andou style. The room has a private bath but it is not open-air, two bathrooms, and a mini bar with various drinks. The Ehime orange juice is very delicious. The whole hotel is Andou Tadao's gallery. The main features are spaciousness, natural light, concrete, and basement. It is a mini version of Chichu Gallery in Naoshima.
