Bristol Tradition and Luxury
4.5/550 Reviews
Our travel agent suggested we stay at the Bristol while visiting SE Poland. We spent 3 nights here and we found it to be a very convenient and pleasant stay. Check in was fast and easy. Lobby is modern and a bit rustic as was our room. While walking on one level of the hotel from one end to the other, you have to go up a few stairs here and down a few stairs there. A bit confusing but after a few days you find your way around. We had 2 double beds in a spacious room with a basic desk and chair. Flat screen TV had CNN and BBC in English. Nice tea and coffee maker. Glass enclosed bathroom has curtains along the outside so the bedroom area can’t see in - of course the person in the bedroom area could easily adjust the curtains. Bathroom had a walk- in shower - it all had a rustic dark wood vibe - nicely done overall. Very different. Our room did not have a view - it seemed to oversee a small inside courtyard where buildings came together - but we had plenty of light coming through the window. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Everything was delicious and there was a great variety - scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, grilled veg, pancakes, blitzes, fruit, cereals, juices, and a nice cappuccino/coffee machine. This hotel is right on the main square, so you had easy access to restaurants’ outside seating that lined the square. Having said that, the hotel’s restaurant had THE BEST fresh pierogis I had in Poland. The “Russian pierogis” were made the hour before and came swimming in melted butter with a big dollop of sour cream. Absolutely delicious. We had had eaten in the inside restaurant the night before - food was good but not fantastic. Overall I found this hotel to be a bit different and eclectic and having a unique vibe that I really enjoyed. Simple unpretentious hotel that caters to a lot of different people.
