POS: very central location 50 mtr from casino and beach; historical building with old charm; quite big but with a family atmosphere; (my) room recently renovated; pleasant bar area; quiet; considering location reasonably priced.
NEG: elavator super slow, tiny and shaky at times (7 floors); bathroom good but shower itself clumsy; staff could use some extra training > in 4 days' stay there was always something not done or missing, and worst of all in spite of plenty of mgmt messages to save energy, in 2/4 days we came back late night and aircon had been switched on (by staff, not us), on a day it was barely 20 degrees, meaning complete waste of energy, and cost.
This was the most satisfying hotel of my trip to the Netherlands and Belgium. It's located in the city center, with beautiful scenery right outside the door. The hotel's environment, cleanliness, facilities, and service were all excellent. The breakfast, in particular, had a wide variety of options and flavors, which was fantastic! 👍🏻 Definitely worth coming back to!
Boutique Hotel Sablon is a pearl in the heart of Brugge. Beautiful rooms, excellent service and a team that immediately gives you the feeling that everything is being arranged for you. The location is ideal for anyone who wants to explore the city, but the hotel feels intimate and quiet. The stylish lounge and warm atmosphere make it completely complete. A absolute adviser.
Heel mooi hotel, gerenoveerd met oog voor de art deco details van het gebouw. We kregen een kamer upgrade waarmee we heel blij waren! Prachtige kamer, ook de badkamer is heel mooi. Ontbijt is lekker, heel veel fruit. Ligging is perfect, vlakbij de zee
Hotel to be recommended
Excellent experience, fantastic breakfast with a view, very attentive staff, very adequate (basic) room (the large ones must be great), very pleasant, almost luxurious environment, full of little touches, like chocolates on arrival, and a triple socket to plug all devices in one place. A place I will return to.
I originally stayed at a guesthouse the night before, but was dissatisfied with its cleanliness, so I switched to this hotel the next day. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the room was spacious. The room itself deserves special mention; it had a high ceiling of at least five meters and a magnificent chandelier with adjustable brightness. The bathroom had a window, was spacious, and even had a stool – impeccable attention to detail. The toiletries were L'Occitane. It's a two-minute walk to the No. 1 bus stop for Bruges train station, making transportation extremely convenient; a public laundry is a five-minute walk away; and the Basilica of the Holy Blood and other attractions are just minutes away. The front desk staff and manager were attentive and responsible, and the check-in and luggage storage process was very smooth. Highly recommended!
Fazit! Das Hotel empfehlen wir sehr gerne.
The hotel is very conveniently located, just a few minutes' walk from the square! There is parking space, but you have to be very careful. The front desk staff was very attentive and helped us upgrade to the room in the main building, but it was not in line with the price I booked at the time, which caused some minor problems, but they actively helped us. Later I learned that there should be a problem with Ctrip's quotation system. The attic room on the top floor is in another apartment building, and it is not very convenient to go up and down the stairs. In addition, the facilities are old, but the price shown by the Ctrip system is higher. I apologize for the trouble caused to the front desk lady. Friends who want to book the top floor, it is recommended not to spend a high price, just book an ordinary superior room!

Great
GGuest UserCozy and nice looking hotel near the center of Bruges.
Nice location - near the center of Bruges but at the same time quiet and right next to the canal and bus stop.
Lobby, halls and stairs areas look just gorgeous! Cool old furniture, paintings, statues etc. The stairs themselves are wooden and beatifully made.
My room (number 2) had tall ceilings and huge windows facing the canal. Only wish it would have been on one of the upper floors. Same thing with old-style furniture in the room - that was nice and beatiful. But the old and worn power outlets were not that nice. Also, the fridge in the room was a joke - it sorta worked but didn't keep stuff in it cold, couldn't even handle a couple of beers.
The bed was very comfortable and I've slept like a baby.
The lobby zone was very nice to hang, really enjoyed having a beer in the evening, sitting there in one of the sofas.
The breakfast was okay, not very diverse, but everything was tasty and fresh. A bit missed the porridge though.
Overall, it was good experience, I've enjoyed my stay!
NNeilJHotel Portinari in Bruges is a gem! The modern design is both stylish and inviting, creating a lovely atmosphere. My room was comfortable and well-appointed, making it a perfect retreat. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the city’s main attractions. The friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bruges!
GGuest UserThe location is excellent and it is very convenient to go to various attractions. If you drive yourself, it is a bit difficult to get in and out of the hotel. The car is clearly parked next door, but it took half an hour to get to the hotel entrance (one-way street + road closure)

GGuest UserA great find - this super-clean and modern hotel was perfect for an overnight stop. Rooms were very clean with everything needed in case you’d forgotten your bathroom bits.
Lovely restaurant with superb breakfast. Good choice for evening snacks or dinner too. Located just on the outskirts of Bruges it’s a 3km walk into the main square, perfect for us. Lovely lady on reception was so kind and helpful, making check-in so easy. Surrounded by a field of sheep one side and cute little pathway the other, a real little gem. Highly recommend.
One mention is the room windows are terrifyingly dangerous and the pillows aren’t the best!

DD322Location is good., only next to Brugge train centraal. On foot takes approx 3min.
carrefour convenient store just below the building, is a superb location
Hotel is clean and cozy.
walking distance of around 20min to central market and historical sites.
overall is rated good
