4-Star Hotels in Jiangsu, China

This was the second hotel I stayed at in Nantong. It's located in the business district, very close to the Nantong Sports Center, which is great if you're there for a concert. The area around it is quite lively. You can also explore the Langshan Scenic Area nearby. The room was clean and spacious, and breakfast was decent. The only thing to be aware of is that getting a taxi in the business district on weekday mornings can be tough, so make sure to book one early. Both high-speed rail stations are a bit of a distance, and you could easily miss your train – I learned that the hard way!

This hotel is right next to the Suzhou Museum and Humble Administrator's Garden, making it incredibly convenient whether you're taking the subway or a taxi. There's also a unique Amber Museum nearby that features Pingtan performances in the afternoon. The hotel's overall style is very distinctive, with a new Chinese aesthetic in an old house, offering both antique charm and modern amenities. The front desk service was excellent. A special shout-out to the front desk lady – she was kind, efficient, and took great care of us, especially since we were traveling with children.

The hotel is located on a pedestrian street, so if you're arriving by car, you'll need to get off at the street entrance and walk 100-200 meters to reach it. The hotel spans both sides of the pedestrian street, making it easy to find. The hotel is housed in an antique building. Given its age, some of the facilities are a bit old, but it's still well-maintained. I really liked the vintage decor in the room. From my room, I could see the Qinhuai River and watch boats pass by. The hotel is conveniently located near attractions like the Confucius Temple and boat tours. It's a bit of a walk to the subway station, but still manageable. The staff provided excellent service. It's definitely worth experiencing.

I was really happy with the overall service, and I was even able to check in early. The original room I was assigned was a bit small, but the lovely lady at the front desk kindly upgraded me to a larger room with a better view, free of charge. All the front desk staff were wonderful, and they even offered me a bottle of water before I left. Highly recommended!

This place is perfect for business trips! It's quiet, spacious, and super close to the high-speed rail station. Plus, they offer coffee and late-night snacks, which is a lifesaver for us workers, haha. I think it'd be great for tourists too, because the rooms are genuinely huge and have everything you need. The staff also make you feel really safe and well taken care of! 👌👌

The hotel environment is fantastic, transformed from a Republican-era building, which gives it a wonderful feel and really shows the designer's thoughtful touches. There are many large trees and plants throughout the hotel, creating a great resort-like atmosphere. The rooms are spacious with large windows, offering excellent natural light that brightens your mood. The hotel's breakfast buffet is impressive, especially the douhua (tofu pudding) which you can customize with your own toppings – the savory version is delicious! The fruit and vegetable selection is abundant, and having a bowl of duck blood vermicelli soup each morning is the perfect start to the day. The laundry room has two washers and two dryers. You can even check their real-time status on the hotel TV, which is very convenient. Rooms with a small garden are even more comfortable; you can do some stretches in the morning. While there's no gym, it's not a big issue. You can easily go for a run nearby, as the hotel is located right in the Zhongshan Scenic Area. A short jog uphill will take you to Entrance No. 5 of the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. Rooms are equipped with smart voice control for opening curtains, turning on lights, the TV, and air conditioning. The only slightly less intelligent aspect is the light control. If you turn on the bathroom light when getting up at night, it also switches on two other lights in the room. And it seems there's no physical switch to turn those two off; you have to reach for the smart device by the bedside to switch to sleep mode. The rose black tea bags in the room are delicious, and the mini-fridge is restocked daily with complimentary drinks like Sprite, Coke, and soda – a definite plus! Milk's service was excellent, five-star worthy! The hotel offers great value for money, and every staff member is very welcoming.

Arrived by train after 10 PM and just wanted to find a close place to rest, and the hotel turned out to be surprisingly good! First, it's incredibly close – literally three minutes from the high-speed rail exit to the hotel. They upgraded me to a deluxe room upon check-in, which was spacious and beautiful; my child absolutely loved it. They even provided slippers and toiletries for the little one, showing very thoughtful and attentive service. Breakfast was also delicious, especially the fish soup wontons – so fresh and tasty!

The overall comfort of our stay exceeded expectations. The bedding was soft and gentle on the skin, and the room had excellent natural light and ventilation, without feeling cramped. The front desk staff were patient and meticulous. The laundry facilities were convenient to use, and once the clothes were washed, they could be delivered directly to the room – a thoughtful and hassle-free service. It's a very convenient and suitable place to stay for travelers.

Suzhou has so many hotels, and we spent a long time choosing AnShe. First, its location is fantastic – super close to the Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, and the Lotus Flower Market, which is a must-visit in June. Second, I saw many reviews praising their service, and it really lived up to the hype when we arrived; the staff were all very friendly and happy to answer any questions. Most importantly, the cleanliness was impeccable; every part of the room was spotless and well-maintained down to the smallest detail. Even though it's not a chain hotel, I was really satisfied with this stay.

The front desk service was excellent, very attentive and polite. This time we traveled with our baby, and they upgraded us to a family room. The room was incredibly spacious and spotless, plus it had a tent and a children's bed, which made our baby very happy. The hotel has plenty of parking, and it's very close to restaurants and department stores. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Nanjing.
