4-Star Hotels in Sichuan, China

The hotel is well placed near a lot of points of interest I would say the pictures of the hotel available on the website are rather flattering, of course this is to be expected, but I think the reality might feel a bit underwhelming if you place too much focus on the pictures I must say I was a bit disappointed, as the hotel was ranked by trip as number 15 most scenic hotels in Chengdu, and I think this is clearly overselling it ! I believe this hotel can definitely give satisfaction to a lot of travelers, it’s probably good value for money if you get it at a good price, but to place it number 15 of scenic hotels in Chengdu is in my opinion wrong, and I will put less trust in trip rankings going forward because of this I believe a good way for the hotel to improve would be to put a little bit more emphasis on cleanliness

Our stay on this trip was absolutely perfect! The hotel's decor is stylish and modern, creating a really cozy atmosphere. The room was spotlessly clean, well-arranged, and all the amenities were easy to use. The staff were friendly, responded quickly, and showed great attention to detail. The location is super convenient for getting around, making travel stress-free, and the price was very reasonable too. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. It was a truly delightful experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to all travelers.

Good location with ample of food choices at the back of the hotel. Many halal food options as well. Walking distance to Tianfu Square, Tianfu Subway, ChunXi Road, Kuanzai Alley and People's Park. Rooms are comfortable with automatic bidet in the bathroom. Comfy double bed and staff was friendly in assisting with taobao purchase and refund. Free laundry service provided and they have robots for takeout directly to the room. Will recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Our butler, Xingxing, was incredibly thoughtful. Before we even arrived, I had a lot of questions, and she answered them all very clearly. I had many packages delivered to the hotel in advance, but some were sent to other locations. Xingxing proactively helped me retrieve them and bring them to the hotel. The hotel was very comfortable, making for a wonderful trip.

Absolutely love it! Ended up spending extra night there and upgraded to a garden room the next day. Super friendly and helpful staff. Helped us do laundry and called taxi for us when we running late for our train. The garden is so pretty and my daughter loves the hammock, and playing in the garden. The breakfast is delicious as well! 5 stars will definitely come again!

Service: The hotel staff were very enthusiastic. They clearly explained breakfast at check-in and greeted us every time we entered or left. Breakfast started early, but it was pretty standard for a hotel in a scenic area. The room location was a bit odd; the window overlooked another corridor and had frosted film on the bottom – first time I’ve seen that. The first day was relatively quiet, so overall it felt pretty good. However, on the second night, I realized the soundproofing was terrible. There was constant noise from water pipes and conversations nearby. The most ridiculous thing was kids playing and making noise in the hallway at 11 PM. I had already fallen asleep but was startled awake by their cackling laughter… then crying, then cackling again. It was really spooky to hear in the middle of the night. Facilities: Quite old. The sink area had visible scuffs and dents. The bathroom only had a handheld shower, no rainfall showerhead. The water heated up quickly and had good pressure. Given that Jiuzhaigou can be cold, there was a notice stating the hotel only had hot air conditioning, but they could provide a fan, as the room's location made it a bit stuffy and warm at night. Hygiene was acceptable; there was a short hair on the bedside table and a few dark fibers when I pulled back the duvet. Otherwise, it seemed clean. Considering the price and location, it was acceptable. Overall, the price is cheap, and the location is very close to the park entrance, just a few minutes' walk. There are also plenty of places to eat nearby. If you can tolerate poor soundproofing, it's a very good value-for-money hotel, especially if you're out early and back late just to sleep.

Facilities: This is a newly renovated hotel, and the bathrooms are new too, much better than similarly priced hotels I've stayed at on Bright Summit in Huangshan. The hotel is at an altitude of over 3000 meters, and there's an oxygen concentrator in the room that you can turn on and off as needed, making the stay more reassuring. Big Window: The first day I saw fog, and on the second day, when it was a bit clearer, I could lie in bed and see Wawu Mountain's flat roof in the distance. I even took photos of birds out the window. Service: At dinner, the waitress in the restaurant saw there were two of us and suggested one dry-pot spare ribs would be enough, and she even helped me swap out one of the vegetable dishes. After eating, we quietly murmured about whether we had dental floss, and the waitress heard us and immediately found some for us – she was very quick, highly commendable. In the evening, you can do scripture copying at the hotel. A male staff member distributed the scriptures and even brewed and poured tea for us, and gave us some laoying tea as a farewell gift; he was very warm and welcoming. That night, it was cloudy, and the long table for scripture copying was almost full. I usually copy scriptures by myself, so this was a very special experience doing it with so many people for the first time.

Traveling with elderly family members, the small fridge in the room was really convenient. The facilities were complete and everything was clean. The bed was comfortable, and the decor was visually pleasing. I really liked sitting on the sofa and looking out the floor-to-ceiling windows – it felt just like home! 🥰 However, the room's soundproofing wasn't great; I could hear people talking loudly in the next room. Also, the food selection was a bit too limited and could definitely use some improvement. But as for the room itself, no complaints there!

Right next to the airport with a shuttle service, which is super convenient for a layover. The area is full of hotels, and as a Holiday Inn, the service was excellent. The breakfast was also quite substantial, comparatively speaking.

Exceptional service always shines through! I was heading to Tangjiahe to see wildlife, and Mianyang was the most convenient transfer point. I wanted a hotel near the station. I hadn't heard of Baden Hotel before, but seeing its 4.8 rating on Ctrip and the affordable price, I figured it wouldn't be too bad – so I booked it! From the station, it's about an 8-minute walk if you turn left and keep going. The Shenzhou Car Rental pickup point was also conveniently located along the way! Check-in was very efficient, and my pre-requested non-smoking and quiet room preferences were both met. The room even had a pillow menu and silent earplugs, which was a very thoughtful touch. The carpet in the guest corridor was new and clean; I asked and found out it had only been replaced a few months ago. Before dinner, the front desk recommended Yang Feichang Chinese Restaurant nearby. On my way out, I met a concierge staff member, who was dressed impeccably and behaved courteously, and helpfully gave me directions. Breakfast was abundant, and the bakery items were particularly outstanding – expertly made. They even had a few types of sourdough bread and I spotted honeycomb honey, which you usually only occasionally see at five-star hotels. Even more surprising, after I ordered rice noodles at the live cooking station, a restaurant employee proactively offered to bring it to my table. Their attitude was warm and friendly. This level of service far surpasses many five-star hotels in bigger cities! When checking out, I accidentally left a bag of fruit in the room. Just two minutes after leaving the hotel, I received a call from housekeeping, saying they would bring it down to me immediately. Warm, professional, efficient, and excellent value for money. The 4.8 rating is well-deserved! Highly recommended!
