4-Star Hotels in Xinjiang, China

I stayed at the Zhongya International Hotel in Yining. It's conveniently located—just a few minutes from the train station. The room wasn't perfectly sterile, but it was clean and cozy, with everything you need. The breakfast was delicious and quite varied, even though the menu hadn't changed in three days. I was especially surprised by the smart toilet—a pleasant surprise. 🙂 There are plenty of shops and cafes nearby, offering a variety of cuisines, so you can try local dishes or just grab a bite. Overall, it's a pleasant place to stay—convenient, comfortable, and reasonably priced.

Traveling with friends, the room was really nice and very clean. The staff at the front desk were also great. The only downside was that we could clearly hear people talking in the hallway as they passed by, so the sound insulation of the hallway doors wasn't great. However, it was quiet when we were sleeping. Overall, it was a very good stay. If I get the chance to visit Urumqi again, I'd definitely choose this place. It was excellent.

We were checked in by Mr Kadeer, who informed us that the room I booked is located in the basement. He kindly offered to show us the room to ensure that we like it. The room was huge with a little courtyard for hanging your laundry. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good too. When we were there, a few weddings took place. There was a public lotus lake outside the hotel but sad to say it was very much neglected otherwise it would have boosted the hotel’s location. If you happened to be there on a weekend, take a right turn from the hotel entrance and walk to the end of the road. Across the road you can find a busy street of eateries with gatherings of families and friends.

The hotel is nice, clean and comfortable. The location is excellent (with an abundance of choices for food around), it’s literally a very short walk to the entrance of the Kashgar Ancient City. There’s a smart toilet, the best water pressure in any hotel in China (it’s truly incredible how super strong the water is *zero sarcasm* 😅). The room is also a smart room controllable by using the switches. I’d definitely stay here again when I come back to Kashgar! Side note: the room does smell of cigarette smoke but it isn’t overwhelming.

Environment: The hotel is just like the pictures I saw when booking on Ctrip, clean and tidy, very satisfactory. There is free airport pick-up near the airport! It was 9pm when we arrived, but the sun was still scorching. Urumqi was 37 degrees hot in those two days, and the ultraviolet rays were very high. When we got off the plane, we contacted the airport. The new passenger terminal in Urumqi is good. It is easy to find and reach the fourth floor of P2. And there is a barbecue restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. The rack meat is delicious! There is also a 24-hour unmanned convenience store on the first floor, which is convenient for purchasing! Facilities: The only regret is that the hot water is not hot at 12 o'clock in the middle of the night, but warm and cool. The rooms are very good, with good shading and sound insulation, and the air conditioning is also very good! Service: The breakfast is good. Although the variety is a bit small, it will be replenished from time to time. Hygiene: Very clean and tidy, and there is no peculiar smell! Photos left when leaving.

First time staying at this newly opened hotel. Everything is great. The front desk service is friendly. The room has a direct view of Kazakhstan across the street. It's on a high floor and very quiet. The room has smart guest control, a desk lamp, and a humidifier. It's perfect for the dry weather in Xinjiang. I'll stay here again on my next business trip.

Coming to Yining for the National Day holiday, I didn't hesitate to choose Atour, and it turns out it was absolutely the right decision. **Location:** Situated on Jiefang Road, it's very close and convenient to Liuxing Street and Kazanchi. There are also many Xinjiang delicacies nearby to try – perfect! **Environment:** The Atour Hotel has a great environment. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the bedding is unbelievably good! It really lives up to its reputation as a hotel that sells bedding. Special heads-up for sisters who love collecting stamps: Atour's lobby has a huge collection of beautiful stamps. My little notebook is now filled to the brim! **Facilities:** I absolutely love Atour's laundry room. The hotel offers laundry service, and here it means: dedicated staff watch, dedicated staff collect, and dedicated staff deliver your clothes. All you have to do is drop off your laundry. It's fast and excellent – I loved it! 😍

First, the pros: The location is excellent, right in the Liuxing Street scenic area, making it convenient to go anywhere. The rooms are very spacious; a twin room can easily accommodate four people. The receptionist at the door is very helpful, warm, and attentive. The guesthouse's exterior is particularly beautiful, perfect for taking photos. The cons: Cleanliness is really just average. One bed had a lot of lint and hair, although they quickly replaced it and offered snacks and a small gift as compensation, it was still a bit uncomfortable. The guesthouse doesn't have an elevator. When we checked in on the third floor, the receptionist helped us carry our luggage up, but when we were leaving, a man glanced at us and ignored us. We only realized he was a staff member at the front desk when we checked out. It felt like poor service, especially considering how inconvenient it is to carry luggage on the third floor without an elevator. The shower water was extremely unstable. It was either too hot or too cold, and the water temperature was inconsistent. It was fine the first night, but the second night the water started acting up, which I suspect was due to someone staying next door using the water simultaneously. Finally, absolutely do not book in advance during the off-season!!! I only found out after checking in that it was several hundred yuan cheaper than booking in advance 😅

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Their hospitality was truly outstanding. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the cozy bed, which made for a great night's sleep. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options to start the day right. On top of that, the staff were so helpful—they took the time to guide me on how to get around the city and even recommended fantastic places to eat at night. This hotel truly exceeds 5-star standards. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional stay. Thank you for making my trip so memorable!
