The location is right across from Nara JR Station. The hotel is clean, the facilities are new, and the service is good. They offer free ramen and drinks at night, and the ramen is absolutely delicious, especially the egg! The massage chairs are new and comfortable, but it's really hard to find one available.
To experience a Japanese tatami room, I chose Asuka-so. The hotel is small, very much like the guesthouses on Mount Putuo, surrounded by similar small but exquisite inns.
Check-in was at 3 PM, and we arrived early. We couldn't get into our room, but the front desk kindly stored our luggage. After feeding the deer, we returned to find that the staff had already taken our luggage to our room. Another pleasant surprise was that while we were wondering how to lay out the futons, we returned from dinner to find the tatami already made up! 😊 We slept very comfortably.
There's also a public bath at the inn, and our room had a Japanese-style bathroom. We were given Japanese yukata upon check-in. Even though we only stayed one night, it was a deep and interesting experience of a Japanese ryokan.
There's a free bar at the hotel front desk offering coffee, tea, and complimentary ice cream, open until 9 PM.
Right across from the inn is a convenience store where you can buy deer crackers. There are deer everywhere nearby, so there's no need to go specifically to Nara Park if you just want to feed them; you can do so right around the inn.
The hotel's location is great, just a 2-minute walk from the subway station. Check-in is handled by robots, and you can store your luggage in the lobby on the first floor. Renting manga books is also a unique Japanese touch. The room was quite spacious, and the soundproofing was good. The bathroom wasn't huge but was clean. Overall, it's pretty good.
I genuinely can't recommend this hotel enough. Its location is superb, just a 5-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station. The lobby is quite grand, and the rooms are surprisingly spacious, especially by Japanese standards. Despite arriving past 1 AM that day, the friendly gentleman at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and patiently explained all of the hotel's facilities and services. The self-service amenity station downstairs, offering tea bags, toiletries, and even skincare products, was a fantastic and very convenient feature.
Facilities: The facilities are brand new, and the hotel occupies the entire building. Its proximity to the train station is also a significant advantage.
Cleanliness: True to Japanese standards, the hotel was spotlessly clean, providing complete peace of mind during my stay.
Environment: Despite being surrounded by busy roads, the hotel's soundproofing is superb, ensuring a quiet night's sleep with virtually no noise.
Service: The Japanese-style service was excellent. There was even a friendly ********* staff member at the front desk, allowing for seamless communication in Chinese.
The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, including the bedding. While the room was well-equipped, some facilities felt a bit dated. However, both the interior and exterior of the building exuded an aristocratic grandeur. The front desk staff were incredibly polite, professional, and went above and beyond to help guests with any issues. The hot spring had specific operating hours, and unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to experience it, which was a slight disappointment.
This hotel is super convenient, just a 2-minute walk from JR Nara Station. They even upgraded us to a high-floor room with a great view, and the room itself was very spacious with a separate shower and toilet. The large public bath was a huge bonus – perfect for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. Getting to Montbell was easy, just a single bus ride away (though make sure to check the bus schedule on a map!). There's also a fantastic conveyor belt sushi place right next to Montbell. To get to Nara Park and Mt. Wakakusa, you just need to catch a bus from the other exit of the station, and there's a large Aeon supermarket conveniently located at the bus stop.
I chose to stay in the Japanese room of Kasuga Hotel again, which says it all. Convenient transportation, complete facilities, hot spring bath, coffee shop in the lobby on the first floor, 24-hour free coffee, drinks, small refreshments, etc., Japanese breakfast and dinner are very rich, 10 minutes walk from Todaiji Kasuga Taisha, 3 minutes walk from Kintetsu Nara Station, and there are restaurants, snack bars, sushi restaurants, supermarkets, etc. on the commercial street next to it. Highly recommended.
Accompanying my old mother on a trip, in order to avoid the old woman being tired during the journey, I chose to stay at the Machi Tenpei Hotel, which is a 5-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station, for one night. The hotel is located at the intersection of the commercial street and the scenic area in Nara Scenic Area. The beautiful view of Sarusawa Lake is outside the window. There is a Starbucks downstairs and Kofuku-ji Temple is opposite.
In the morning, I went to Kasuga Taisha and Nara Park, and took a rest in the hotel in the afternoon. There is a public bath in the basement. There are six kinds of shampoo to choose from. The honey one in the hexagonal bottle is more suitable for my hair quality, and there is also pola. The hotel provides disposable socks and hair bands, which are of good quality. The raised tatami in the room can not only experience Japanese-style accommodation, but also facilitate various groups of people. There is a small balcony outside the room where you can dry clothes. At around 6 o'clock in the evening, many businesses in the block got off work and it was very quiet.
Loved the hotel!! It’s in the center of nara city
It’s 5 mins walk to the nara shopping area, 5mins walk to the nara park there is deer walking around the hotel in the morning
There is free morning city walk tour at 7:00-8:00 with local guide; the bicycle is free
The view of the pond is nice the service is great!! 5stars to everything
The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable
They have drink lounge for free use with unlimited snacks; fruit juice, sake, beer, wine from
15:00pm-2:00am
Really recommend everyone that travels to nara city to stay at this hotel!!
The only downside of this hotel is the breakfast only provides japanese style food ; grill fish and onigiri
The onigiri is huge, grill fish and miso soup is cold
I wish they can make the onigiri smaller so
We can taste more flavors
And hope that they can provide a bakery corner for people who doesn’t like to eat fish
Otherwise we loved the hotel and want to go
Back again!!
Ps: there is not parking space so we need to park at the coin parking costs us 2400¥ /night

MmixukiI used to live in Nara but now live far away, so I stayed here for the first time when visiting a friend.
This hotel is located in front of the station, so it was very convenient.
I often go to the drinking district around Yagi Station, and it was great that no matter how much I drink, the hotel was always so close by!
The interior of the facility was also very clean, and it was well-maintained.
The bath and open-air bath on the top floor were also great.
This time I only stayed overnight, so I would like to try breakfast next time.

法法克斯很淡定I spent an unforgettable three days and two nights at Fufu Nara. The hotel has luxurious facilities, beautiful environment, and delicious food. Especially the private hot spring that can be enjoyed 24 hours a day. It is worthy of being the first choice for vacation in Nara.
