4-Star Hotels in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan

The front desk and exterior look decent, but the rooms are quite standard, on par with a budget hotel. Cleanliness is okay. There's not much in terms of service. The Japanese woman who checked me in was quite impolite and seemed grumpy. Breakfast options are very limited. The main advantage is the convenient location and good transport links. I can only give it this score, mainly because Utsunomiya doesn't seem to have many better hotel options.

Although it is far from the center, the parking lot that can accommodate enough cars is free, and it is safe to go to the hotel even if it is late. This is a big Merritt. There is no modern modernity, but there is a style even if you look at the lobby. The room is large enough. The restaurant tastes great everywhere. I still don't forget the deliciousness of the first French toast at Fontana for breakfast. The lunch at the restaurant used on the upper floors at the meeting was French and exquisite. I operate the machine at check-in, but I felt that it did not contribute to labor saving, so I felt like I was losing time. I want to expect improvement.

4.5 stars!  Property is older but extremely well maintained.  The corner western/Japanese rooms are spacious with two western beds and tatami area, single japanese bath and shower area and separate toilet area, mini fridge, tv, sitting area overlooking the river and table with four chairs as well as a massage chair!  Onsen area has both indoor and outdoor areas separate for men and women and a cold plunge as well as multiple hot baths.  Minus half a star for low staffing in the store/cafe areas (often no staff member to be found when kakigori desired), no in house lunch option and overly fatty meat on the 3rd night dinner (breakfast and dinner were LARGE and BEAUTIFUL but perhaps heavy on the yuba.  Also, shuttle to the train station is only at 10 and 11am and getting cabs is difficult.  However, would overwhelmingly recommend Nikko Senhime Monogatari!

Really perfect!! We love the location and easy access to places if you have a car…The room was really nice, clean and recommended for everyone to stay at! We had a really great time here.

The facilities and hospitality of the hotel mentioned above are close to full marks. On the other hand, unfortunately the cleaning of the hot spring bath is not so good, and there is nothing that can be done about the quality of the hot spring water. And the quality of the dinner. The number of dishes is more than enough, but I would like them to take the taste more seriously. I would like food that tastes good, not just the price.

This hotel was about 30 minutes drive from Nasu Animal Kingdom and was on the mountain road. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets near the hotel, so I think it is better to buy beverages brought in at convenience stores found early. Breakfast was also very delicious in a buffet style where you can choose fresh vegetables, rice, bread, side dishes, etc. The hot spring on the 2nd floor is a cold mineral spring, and it is called a hot spring of beautiful skin, so my skin became smooth and smooth ♪ I went twice at night and in the morning, but I was able to relax so that I could sigh. There was also a fitness room and an esthetic salon on the second floor. Also, the drinks to drink while watching the stars on the veranda of the room at night were the best and comfortable time The room feels a bit old, but it was very large, and the towels and roomware were clean and cozy. The bed was a little hard and I could sleep just right. The air conditioner can be adjusted in the room and there is also an air cleaner.
