I stayed at Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka and overall the experience was quite disappointing.
The minibar fridge in the room was empty and not functioning properly. The bathroom drainage was clogged, causing the water to drain very slowly and leading to flooding during showers. As a Muslim guest, I was also disappointed that there was no Qibla direction provided in the room, which is something even other hotels such as Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur offer.
The corridor outside the room was quite noisy, which affected our comfort. The elevators were extremely slow and required a very long waiting time. Parking was another major issue as it was often full, making it very inconvenient for guests.
The children’s swimming pool is shared with guests from the adjacent building, making it overcrowded and uncomfortable, with too many people and mixed behavior. It would be better if the hotel did not share the pool facilities.
Breakfast was not bad, however the selection for children was very limited, with only cereal available.
Overall, the hotel has potential, but several areas need serious improvement to ensure a more comfortable stay for families and Muslim guests.

The hotel is located in the middle of Melaka, but there are not many activities nearby. There is a river cruise within walking distance, but I didn’t try it. We only used the water taxi, which was cheaper, to travel from Jonker Walk back to the hotel.
The food selection is limited—just enough to fill your stomach, but not much variety. I was quite disappointed with the coffee machine; the coffee is too light, and even the Americano is not strong.
The lift is annoying, as the waiting time is very long when going up or down. and the sticker make it confusing to search for number, and screen didn't show which floor when lift stop. need to upgrade or do something ,the lift waiting time is very poor. The lifts are frequently full. At times, we opted to use the stairs due to long waiting times; however, the stairwell is dull and gives an uncomfortable feeling.
My kids loved the pool, but it needs maintenance. I noticed some broken tiles, which could potentially cause injuries to children.
The room is just nice. I booked a studio suite, and the toilet has transparent glass. In our room, the glass was blurry, but you can still see shadows. I asked the receptionist about the Premier room, and they mentioned that it is not even blurry—it is fully see-through.
I think the hotel should consider installing a curtain or proper covering for the bathroom, as this can be quite inconvenient when traveling with family.

A quiet hotel, away from town. Restful.
I enjoyed the showervery much and had a good bath.
But..
The toilet bad odour (especially from toilet bowl) is true as per reviews posted by many customers. I hope hotel can do something to get rid of the bad odour from the sewage.
The air-conditioning sound is very loud is true as per reviews by many customers. Light sleepers may be affected.

I’ve stayed at The Pines Hotel twice already. Overall, the location is very good and convenient, with easy parking which I really like. However, in terms of cleanliness, it was just okay — not very good, but still acceptable.
Unfortunately, during both visits I faced the same issue where the room access card couldn’t be used properly, which was quite inconvenient. Hopefully this can be improved in the future.

Quite clean if you compare to other similar standard hotels in the area, booked it at a cheap rate so cannot complain much for the price paid…
Soap is somehow 3-in-1…
Wifi was good when I checked in, but got pretty bad when i returned from dinner… not sure what happened… lazy to go down to the reception so just slept early
Overall, it was alright. Location was amazing tho, 10 mins to the nearest mall, heng chicken rice balls across the street :)

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything working perfectly. The location was convenient, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and restaurants. I especially enjoyed the breakfast, which offered a good variety of fresh and tasty options each morning. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful, and I felt relaxed throughout my stay. I would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable experience.
Stay here with my friend because she got into an accident and she doesn't have a place to stay especially with her injuries.
I paid like RM134 per night and I stayed there for 2 nights in a row. It's definitely a very comfortable stay, complete amenities, respectful front desk tho a bit too slow like they took more than 10 minutes just to process online booking.
The price reflected the place. Very close to MITC Mydin and there's also Watson nearby along with other shops like Secret Recipe, Bakers Cottage, Ayam Gepuk, Zus Coffee.
Amenities are amazing, complete toiletries (soap, bath gel, shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, bath towels, small towels, toilet paper etc I can't even remember what else) They also prepared plastic bag.
The room is very big, lots of space for prayers. Got a vanity table along with huge mirrors. There was 2 mineral bottles with a kettle, cups, spoons, an instant noodle cup, instant coffee and milk tea. The air conditioning and tv works as well even tho the tv only shows some basic channels. They also got room service for meals but as expected with quite an expensive price. Also got a huge window with city view.

It was a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The accommodation was comfortable and reasonably priced. The location is very strategic and within walking distance to many attractions in Melaka town. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a room with an in-room slide, which further enhanced the overall experience.
However, we did receive some feedback from other guests regarding noise, which suggests that the rooms may not be fully soundproof. In addition, the hotel does not currently offer a breakfast buffet, likely due to it being newly established.
Overall, we would recommend this hotel to families planning a visit to Melaka.

Lovely hotel within walking distance to Jonker Street. Rooms are spacious and quality of the toiletries are good. Would like to compliment front desk staff named Leong who is friendly and helpful, the eating places recommended by him did not disappoint, turns out to be the best meals in the trip!

Overall stay was okay. Room felt a bit compact but still comfortable. Nice queen bed with very comfortable pillows. Toilet and shower work well.
As for breakfast, choices are limited but still good enough to have a wonderful experience to start my day.
The only issue was the parking is located at Hatten Hotel as Estadia does not have spaces for parking. Felt a bit troublesome there. Parked at public parking near the shop rows and took own risk.

AAzuan ZainiFamily if 5 with 2A 3K. The hotel previously known as Puteri Resort. Smooth check in. Room are with 2 single bed (small size). Although the hotel name are Amverton, I've know it was Puteri Resort because used to give lecture here.
Rating: smooth check-in & check-out
Lobby - nice. Huge.
Rooms: Ok standard. But will know its a kind of an old hotel
Brakfast: quite OK with few variety of Malaysian food & western.
*been charged for two additional waterpark ticket which I feel, hotel shouldn't charge fee for it. ( 2 are already included with room). Its just feel like normal pool with kids slide. Thats all.
AAi Er TeaLocation : good, is exactly inside the Pines Hotel. Opposite got G29 mini Mart operate till 12.00 midnight. Walking distance got restaurant and food court. Night time can walk to river side from hotel, very strong wind and cooling, nice to have walk there.
Parking: no good. Can't park in the hotel as it will cost you very high. Park under AIA Prudential building opposite which cost you around RM 10-12.50 next day morning.
Checked in : self-check in . booking under Amanjiwa 99R, checked in info such as unit and mailbox details only provide 10min before arrival. That is late. Access cards 2pcs are provided. Mailbox is just beside the hotel. Clear instructions to get the cards. Checked out same methods. No issues.
Room: room is spacious and good. Beds and sofa are OK.
Refrigerator is not cold. Air conditioning and water pressure are good.
Amenities: normal and simple.
Facilities: swimming pool and play ground on 8th floor.
Cost : lower cost if compare to room booking under the pines hotel.

GGuest UserWe really enjoyed our stay at Sterling Hotel. The best part is definitely the location — it’s just a short walk to the Red House and Jonker Street. This saved us so much time since we didn’t have to worry about finding parking around Jonker, which can be a real headache. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly, making the whole stay pleasant. If you’re planning to explore Melaka’s heritage area, this hotel is super convenient and makes everything easier.
