Certainly! Our trip to Solea Mactan was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a sense of warmth and hospitality that set the tone for our entire stay. One of the standout features was the impeccable cleanliness throughout the resort. Everywhere we looked, from the rooms to the common areas, was maintained with pristine care, allowing us to relax without any worries. The service provided by the staff was truly exceptional. They were not only attentive but also incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. Their dedication to ensuring guests' comfort and satisfaction was commendable and definitely added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. Speaking of amenities, Solea Mactan exceeded our expectations. The variety and quality of facilities available were impressive. The multiple big pools were a highlight, offering ample space for relaxation and fun. Whether we wanted to unwind by the poolside or take a refreshing swim, there was always a perfect spot to do so. Moreover, the value for money was notable. Considering the high standards of cleanliness, the top-notch service, and the extensive amenities provided, we felt that our experience was worth every penny spent. It's rare to find a place that offers such a well-rounded experience without breaking the bank. In conclusion, our time at Solea Mactan was nothing short of incredible. The combination of cleanliness, exceptional service, a plethora of amenities, and the excellent value for money made our trip an unforgettable one. It's a destination that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a relaxing and fulfilling getaway.

I booked this hotel with my 11 year daughter to have my birthday staycation. The hotel was quite new and designs are modern. Check in was very smooth with very kind polite front desk officers. I was allowed to have an early check in as the hotel wasnt fully booked at that time and was kind to offer me a room upgrade. I politely declined the upgrade as the bed configuration wasnt suited for me and my daughter. We wanted a twin bed and the room upgrade was for one queen sized bed only. The size of our room was relatively small for a twin bed room. Its roughly 21sqm in size and it kinda tight when all your luggages and things have been all around the room. The Buffet breakfast was on the average side, Hot dishes werent kept warm and choices was kinda limited. But for the average kind of breakfast spread, I wouldnt complain more. The hotel is very near (I mean walking distance) to 7/11 convenience Stores, good quality restaurants nearby , Mcdonalds, Mactan Alfresco etc... I love the ambiance of the community ... its like a little city within a small community. Not that I really didnt like that much, but it was just something that I didnt appreciated much... its the hotel's pool that looks like blurry and wasnt kept clean by the time we went to visit the area. The prices at the bar was kinda pricey and wouldnt offer any happy hour during the day. The Surroundings of the pool area werent kept clean and aesthetically pleasing. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Savoy.

Overall the hotel needs a complete makeover. Toilets in the lobby needs a100% attention. Room where we stayed also needs a maintenance. We complained about the sliding door not locking and unsafe, A quick fix was performed by screwing the door and not be able to open ever even in a case of fire. Rain shower was inoperable but was fix. Imagine if we didn’t report this, no one will look after it. The breakfast buffet was average and was sufficiently good if you are local resident but not for foreigners. Staff were excellent, they were polite , hospitable and kind. Guards are courteous and hospitable. Concierge were also courteous, polite and hospitable. In conclusion, I will not rate this hotel as 4star because it was not fully maintained. Lightning and so forth were inadequate. Again, hotel staff were typically a Filipino hospitality exposed. I salute all of you…

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall, my experience was a blend of positives and areas for improvement. Firstly, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made for a pleasant atmosphere throughout my stay. They were always ready to assist and made me feel welcomed. However, it's worth noting that the lack of an elevator could be a challenge for some guests, especially those with heavy luggage or mobility issues. While the staff are willing to help with bags, I would advise against bringing too much or heavy luggage to avoid inconvenience. The option for transportation from the hotel to the pier port (Panglao to Tagbilaran) at a reasonable cost of 800 pesos was convenient and appreciated. It saved me the hassle of arranging transport myself. In terms of room amenities, the absence of a cabinet was a bit inconvenient, and having only one bedside drawer limited storage space. Additionally, encountering an air conditioning remote in Chinese was unexpected. While a translator app or assistance from the front desk resolved this issue, it could be an inconvenience for guests not familiar with such technology. On the bright side, the cleanliness and softness of the sheets enhanced the comfort of the stay. However, some corners of the shower could use more attention in terms of cleanliness. The place was overall quiet in terms of other in-house guests, but at certain times in the morning, it can get a bit noisy from the neighbor's dogs, which woke me up. Understandably, it's out of the hotel's control. While there were aspects of my stay that I enjoyed, such as the friendly staff and comfortable bedding, there are areas where improvements could enhance the overall guest experience, particularly in terms of room amenities and cleanliness. Overall, the room price for the stay was reasonable and offered good value, complementing the overall experience. Would definitely recommend this place and rebook for future trips.

We had the pleasure to eat at Belmont Cafe. It was an exceptional experience and the service was second to none. From the greeting upon entry to the quality of food and the attentiveness we received, the entire time was incredible. We had the four cheese pizza, fresh lumpia, Laing and other items. The food was beyond delicious and can’t wait to taste more dishes in the future. We want to give special recognition for Chef Ri, she checked on us to make sure we enjoyed the food, a rare thing and much appreciated. Special recognition as well to our server Michael, he went above and beyond to make our visit memorable and was one of the most attentive I have seen, he provided the highest quality of service and others in the future will have a hard time matching his skills. Thank you for all you did to make our dinner one we will not forget.

It was better than my expectations. They allowed early check in for us. I liked the Philippines style room interior. Breakfast was good. Everything was clean and comfortable. Facilities are well maintained and safe for children. There are pools for kids and adults. Can use the shelters right next to beach. There are also activity corners next to the beach. Restaurants are a bit expensive than outside, but food was delicious and good service. They don’t allow food delivery. But you can being meals or food in your room and only allowed to eat in the room. I would definitely recommend for family travelers.
Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort

One word to describe Bluewater Sumilon Island would be PARADISE! We were greeted by a mild-mannered receptionist (if i remember it right, Kevin) before we hopped on the boat. Sit on the first row, if you wish to enjoy the water splashes. We didn't mind as we were still wearing our swimmers from our whaleshark experience. We got there about 1pm, the room was ready about 3pm, but no trouble, because we enjoyed alone time in the infinity pool, took a nap on the daybeds, enjoyed a ”must order” halo halo on a buko, and fruit smoothies! What makes this place awesome is the staff, from the pool guy who picks up every leaf falling on the water, to the porters who helped our bags, to the friendly people at the reception and the dining area, even the nice ladies at the Amuma lounge. William's smile and attentive service is really heart warming. I'm not surprised why he's popular! Security is spot on! My husband flew a drone in front of our room and was told off 10 seconds later, which we are ok to abide. When snorkelling, I highly recommend getting a guide to the marine sanctuary. It's so worth it! It's good that the guides protect the sanctuary. There are only areas where you can snorkel, but plenty of fish, corals and clown fish. We stayed in premier deluxe room, which was very spacious, closest to the sandbar and best spot to watch the sunrise. Buffet dinner and breakfast are really good with plenty of options. Highly recommend, but would stay for more than 1 night next time.

Clean and well-presented hotel. I've never experienced a hotel lobby not being on the ground floor (it's on floor 9), but that's no big deal. We stayed in the deluxe twin room. 2 king single beds that can be pushed together if you're a couple. Beds were very comfortable! Bathroom was also very clean. The only issues we had were: WiFi very slow/going in and out of range. Wait times for the elevator were consistently long (3-4mins) Buffet breakfast was delicious! We didn't get the chance to check out the pool as we only stayed overnight.

We want to thank the owner Gri and staff at this lovely hotel! The warmth and welcome we felt was phenomenal, as well as the service. The highlight of the stay was the gorgeous pool and view. We loved beginning and ending each day with a dip and hearing the waves crash as we fell asleep. Magical! The flowers and trees on the property are stunning and the rooms are comfortable and reasonably appointed. The beds are firm by western standards but being that we are Americans who live in China, we love this for our backs! We ate breakfast every morning and one of our dinners in the hotel restaurant and it is very high quality, tasty food. I especially loved the organic spinach and homemade dumplings, as well as the mapo tofu- YUM! The fresh fruit each day was crisp and delicious and I LOVED drinking coconuts by the pool. Thank you, Cherry! Coffee is for purchase at the restaurant, not in the rooms. The location of the hotel is quite remote, meaning it is peaceful and quiet. I recommend you arrange transportation for excursions in advance each day, or rent a scooter, as waiting for a tricycle can be long. We were told that you can swim and snorkel in front of the hotel but the tide was too low when we tried one day. However, there are snorkels and kayaks for use in the hotel! The hotel is still developing some of the water activities available. The pool is deep enough for diving courses, but check to make sure they are ready, as the gear is still in order as of Oct 2023. There are snorkel and dive spots a short ride away, however, and you can ask for help at the desk to book a tour or connect with a dive shop.

Let’s start from the good parts: * The service was great, always welcome you with a smile and greeting. * location- although it takes 15 mins to Alona beach , it was not bad or we didn’t feel a burden from it. * soft towels , pillow, soft duvet, soft toilet paper - really good. Now for the bad parts: The hotel has a lot of potential to be great. But unfortunately it doesn’t do much to be like that. * breakfast - the worst I’ve ever had. No western selection, no omelette, no cappuccino. * pool - is great when it’s clean. Unfortunately it wasn’t clean and we complained about it and they cleaned it a day after but still , it must be maintain. * the AC remote function is only in Chinese , don’t understand that point at all. Why it’s not in English? No user friendly.
