Pros: 1) Location right beside train station and bus station. 2) Many eateries around the hotel 3) Room is clean and spacious Cons: 1) No aircon. I know it is cool during summer in Xining as well but i think it is a basic requirement for aircon in a hotel. A fan is provided but i think it is not a welcome sight for a hotel with a fan.

A very nice hotel, just next to Xining Station. It is very convenient to check in when traveling. I have to say that the hotel service is very good. Zhuoma and Xiaoma at the front desk gave a bottle of hot mineral water after check-in. It was so considerate, despite the weather. It was very cold, and it stopped being cold all of a sudden. It must be praised! The breakfast coupon was given in the morning and the souvenir was given after the invoice was issued after leaving the hotel. It was a very pleasant stay.

The manager of this hotel sally was amazing. She speaks fantastic english and helped us in directions, picking up from airport, booking the trains, and when we lost our baggage in the Airport she went out of her way to help, in alloting the rooms, 10 Star service by her. amazing person and would love to visit. this charming city again and stay in the same Hotel. Location is damn good and her service is amazing. Thank you sally very much from all of us from the Team of 10 people.

I have to start by saying that the reception staff is just amazing. Very lovely and welcoming people. Location is a bit away from main trafic knots. So if you plan to travel around to Qinghaihu or Chaka salt lake you should probably stay closer to the train station as both buses and trains leave to these destinations from there. During the summer season there are a lot of mosquitoes. Rooms are not equiped with a mosquito net or window screen to block them. It is quite hot in the room so we slept with the window open and got bitten all over the place. Didn't get much to sleep during our night long battles with mosquitos. So bare in mind no AC and mosquitos. And unfortunately there was a staff member (male) that was smoking in bathroom that is shared by all the guests of the hotel. As a non smoker I'm completely against such behavior, so hopefully that will be noticed and proper measures put in place.

It was latex, so I decided to come back and buy a set by myself. Everywhere is praise, there is even disinfectant to clean the toilet, and rolls of paper are provided. 🚗 Transportation: It is more convenient. I have been building roads around recently, but the road is still smooth 🔔Service: The little brother at the front desk gave a card set, so I’m careful 🍃Environment: Surprisingly, there are a lot of delicious food next to me. I went to drink yogurt in the evening and ate my favorite roast. Lamb tripe, delicious. There are also noodle shops, dumpling shops, and yak soup shops. The whole street is delicious. Because of the limited time, I always struggle with which one to eat is better. Haha

Located in the best possible areas nightlife and convenience, leaving the hotel allows you access to multiple malls, restaurants, and shopping right outside your doorstep. Inside, the hotel was beautiful, plush, and ambient. The staff, while speaking little English, went above and beyond to accommodate and help us all throughout our stay. They brought up free snacks and a bowl of dumpling soup for us, as well as absolutely delicious yogurt made in-house. The breakfast spread was lovely, with a variety of choices including Chinese breakfast, cereal, baked breads, fresh fruit, and coffee and tea. The views from the breakfast restaurants are stunning indeed. I would recommend this hotel to other travelers in a heartbeat and would love to come back!

Because I have stayed at the Yi Hotel in Xi'an, I also chose the Yi Hotel when I went to Xining this time. The hotel is just downstairs from Wangfujing. It is very convenient for transportation and shopping. There is a snack court downstairs, because the housing prices are more expensive during the tourist season, but The hotel has done a lot of value-added services, including drinks and fruits. The service is very warm. I was asked to wear a short-sleeved shirt when I went out at night. The front desk reminded me to bring a jacket as much as possible. The temperature difference is large and the temperature is cooler at night. It is very considerate and likes it!

This hotel has some absolutely great features but overall I would never stay there again. I was initially very impressed with the great service on check in (including no fuss about a foreign passport) and the high tech features of the hotel seemed amazing - you use an an app to open the door and control the room functions such as opening the curtains and turning on the lights. There was also a robot wandering around with no obvious function but had some mad telekinesis skills on show in the lift. So far, great, impressed, 5 stars. However, all of this high tech wizardry was no good when the temperature of the room was like 30 degrees and there was no air con. It was actually a pleasant and cool evening in Xining and walking back to the hotel after dinner I was even partially looking forward to a nice warm duvet. But the room itself would make the Fins sweat. There was no place for duvets in a sauna. We phoned reception about this and they suggested opening the window (a revelation that we'd made independently), however the window in question was about the size of an A4 paper and the draft was about as powerful as an asthmatic playing air saxophone. We asked for a fan and they said they get it sorted but they never did so we had to open the door thereby exposing any other guests to this sight of me starfished in a pool of sweat. Apart from the being hotter than the surface of Venus, the TV also didn't work, or at least it did for about ten minutes before cutting out. Essentially long story short, this hotel was nailing some of the top level stuff but needed a bit of works on the basics. Breakfast was so so. Tea or coffee would have made it better.

Great hotel situated nearby the Wanda mall and Tangdao walking street. I was impressed with how stunning the hotel is and pre-arrival experience was really remarkable. It is according to what I expected from Sofitel Hotel; however, my experience this time didn't reach my expectation. First, I was asked to pay CNY99 in order to use the swimming pool even if I already said that I was staying there. Second, the air-conditioner was not cool enough. I asked the staff to help me adjust it, but it seemed not work well. I slept with sweating all night. Lastly, I asked concierge to recommend me where I could find the night walking street and street food, but the answer I got was to search the word ”Tangdao” by myself. This is unacceptable. I wouldn't expect concierge to just provide me this simple answer. I can even do that by myself. What was the point from seeking for the recommendation from concierge? I have seen that one of them even got Les Clefs d'Or so that I expected the whole team to provide me something beyond my expectation. Please consider this issue. Thank you very much.

This hotel is about 5 minutes away from the water Yadan, which is very convenient. This time in Qinghai, this is the most decent hotel and the price is the most expensive one. However, there is not much around this area and most fields are empty or under construction. Chaka Lake is a beautiful spot but the city is not so attractive. So also the hotel is not having any good spots around it. We also took the dinner in the hotel. The breakfast is okay but typical Chinese but they didn’t provided hot water for tea or a coffee. The staff is friendly and they provided extra heater and humidifiers for the cold nights. Overall, the hotel is a good choice if you stay in Chaka to recharge your batteries but it’s also good to move on after the stay.

My wife and I booked a room when we arrived at the hotel. The hotel was newly opened and the facilities, equipment and services were all very good value for money. The first night of this trip was at Vienna in Longnan. The room felt pretty good, so when I arrived at Chaka Town and planned to stay for one night, I chose Vienna Hotel in Chaka!! Facilities: Not bad, relatively new! I was upgraded to an outdoor room (in a chalet). Very cosy. No air conditioner, but with the window open it was most comfortable. There was even a black rabbit bouncing around the grounds. The view is far from the Chaka Salt Lake but it's nevertheless impressing. At night there were many stars and even a small meteor shower to the north. The shower, WiFi and so on was adequate.

It is very important for self-driving tours to have free parking, breakfast, and enthusiastic waiters. The hotel is near the Caka Salt Lake. Shops are rarely inconvenient for shopping.

The room is very unique. When the weather is good, you can lie on the bed and watch the Milky Way. The store service is very considerate. It snowed heavily on the day of check-in. The hotel helped to turn on the heating half an hour in advance. The room was warm as soon as we arrived. What I am most grateful for is that the battery of the car we drove the next day was low and we couldn't start it. We found the hotel front desk and they immediately called a technician to come over for us. They were very patient and helped us solve the problem in half an hour.
