Very Good
GGuest UserThe room was disappointing. We booked a small double, but were given an accessible room instead. The sink was tiny and low down for wheelchair access, but uncomfortable for a 6ft 2 in male! No window so felt a bit claustrophobic. Only 1 coffee sachet between 2 of us. Seemed like the roomwas an after thought. We have stayed here many times and this was the worst room we have had.
Bar and breakfast was fine though.
PPaulStayed here 2 years ago and absolutely loved it. Decided to stop over again this weekend and, again, just can't fault it. Great food, friendly staff, comfortable clean rooms. We use it as a place to go off and explore the wider area but always see people who are obviously there for special occasions or business.
Whatever your trip is for I cannot recommend highly enough.
GGuest UserAwesome 1 night stay over, used the gym facilities in this occasion and were of an excellent standard all round. As always, cannot praise the staff enough and the beautiful room once again! 10 out of 10 ☺️
GGuest UserThis was a trip for my birthday which was Sunday 26th January we had some requests before we arrived and they forfilled this for us.
We had an early check in on Friday which was plan sailing.
Breakfast on my birthday wasn't the best due to not really having anything left and having to ask for things like bread for toast and milk for cereal. We had to ask for juice plates and also knifes and forks.
Overall the pool was good ( cold) but wasn't overly busy which i like due to suffering with anxiety issues.
GGuest UserLovely location, (pretty village) lovely grounds and impressive entrance. However, we weren’t in the main hotel. The room was large but old fashioned. The roof sloped at the sides which we banged our heads on several times. The window was small which made it stuffy and it was very dark, no main light in the bedroom only lamps. Bed was king size and comfortable. The room and bathroom was clean. We used the restaurant once for dinner and we had 2 breakfasts and the food was nice and reasonable priced. Breakfast was self service (as ours was included) with a good and plentiful variety. The staff were friendly and helpful but professional. We didn’t use the pool in the end as it meant going outside and back inside, as our room was not connected to a covered route to the pool.
Nothing really to complain about but we did expect the room to be a bit more luxurious. Slightly overpriced for the room. I expect the price was based on the available amenities.
GGuest UserI stayed at the Leonardo Hotel Derby while attending a workshop at the Derby Museum. Its location is excellent, being merely a few minutes' walk from the venue. The hotel was clean and pleasantly quiet at night, allowing for a restful sleep—a welcome change from the often disruptive air-conditioning in other hotels. Furthermore, Derby town centre is only a five-minute walk away, offering opportunities for shopping, dining, or leisurely strolls.
DDr.BalramBest Western Plus Buxton Hotel
Stayed here for one night during my Peak District trip. The hotel is very well located, right in the centre of Buxton and close to the Pavilion Gardens, bus stops, and walking routes. The room was clean, comfortable, and warm — perfect after a long day of hiking. Staff were polite and helpful, and the overall experience was smooth and hassle-free. A solid choice if you’re exploring Buxton and the Peak District using public transport.
TTommi McCormickVery nice experience, everyone friendly. Rooms looked newly renovated and clean. Only downside was the pool and sauna was closed down and no longer available, trip photos show pool and spa but be warned this is now close for the foreseeable future.
GGuest UserThe casa is a very nice hotel to stay in. Check in quick and efficient and courteous staff as always. Plenty of parking spaces on site.
Room has air conditioning and a good bath room with power shower. Tea and coffee available with a mini fridge for milk and water included.
We had booked breakfast but completely forgot breakfast finished at 9am on a monday.
I'm hoping that maybe next time we may be able to use this feature. Though to be fair we should have ordered to the room the night before for a small £5.
A enjoyable stay nothing more to add.
