I recently stayed at The Bath Hotel Beaumont from 25th to 26th April, where we had booked two standard rooms with windows. Unfortunately, the experience was quite inconsistent.
One of the rooms was very good, clean, and comfortable. However, the second room was extremely disappointing and in poor condition. It was significantly below expectations, especially considering both rooms were booked under the same category. I would strongly advise avoiding the smaller standard rooms, as the quality seems to vary greatly.
On a positive note, the hotel’s location is excellent and very convenient. The spa and swimming pool facilities are also good; however, it should be clearly noted that these come at an additional cost per person, which is not communicated transparently at the time of booking.
Parking is available but costs around £25 per day. Unfortunately, the service associated with this was very poor. Our car was parked under a tree and was left covered in bird droppings. When we raised this concern, the staff were unhelpful and stated they did not have the manpower to clean it. Instead, we were given cleaning supplies and expected to clean the car ourselves, which is highly unprofessional given the price charged.
Additionally, the valet service was unreliable. On multiple occasions, we had to wait 15–20 minutes for our car, and twice we ended up retrieving it ourselves after being told to wait. This defeats the purpose of a paid valet service.
The staff, particularly at reception, came across as rude and unprofessional, especially when handling complaints. For a hotel of this standard, the lack of basic service, including room service or an efficient call service, was surprising.
Overall, while the location and some facilities are good, the inconsistency in room quality and poor customer service significantly impacted our stay. I would not recommend this hotel unless improvements are made.
Stayed here in March 2026 with my family.
Overall below average experience.
There was only one passengers lift which was out of service and service lift was very small for a stroller and everyone staying on higher floors were struggling.
Outdoor pool was closed due to season but heated pool was also not functional.
Staff was not rude but they were not Marriott level, most of the requests were declined without any work arounds.
I booked a sew view room and it was very compact, other things were manageable but toilet seat was not. It had very less space that you couldn’t sit properly to poop :)
Breakfast options were good.
Based on my experience I didn’t feel it like Marriott and I would not be able to recommend this to anyone.
The location is convenient. Walking distance of 10 minutes to the city centre and 20 minutes to the beach nearby. The staff are very friendly. The hotel provides car park with a price. £15.5 for overnight. Only shower not bath in the bathroom. One bad thing is the television in the room. It is so small and it is placed at the corner of the room.
I recently stayed at the Dorset Hotel. Overall, it was an okay experience. The room itself was very small for two people, which made it feel a bit cramped, and it could have been a little cleaner. One thing to be aware of is that reception closes at 5pm, so after that you need to collect your keys from the bar, which isn’t the most convenient.
On the positive side, parking was excellent it’s free and you can park anywhere, which was really handy. I also asked about a late checkout, but the hotel said they were fully booked. Standard checkout is 10am, which feels a bit early compared to other places I’ve stayed.
Apart from those points, everything else was good and the stay was comfortable enough.
We specifically booked this hotel for our anniversary and they decorated the bed with petals which was a nice touch. The hotel itself was very nice but the rooms were a bit outdated and the toilet was dirty. There were quite a few downsides which did ruin our short stay. We booked this hotel specifically for the spa facilities mainly the jacuzzi pool but this was out of order before we got there and we were not informed of this otherwise we would’ve booked elsewhere and it wasn’t fixed for our entire stay. Swimming pool was decent but not the cleanest as i felt dirt on pool floor.
On our last night we ran out of water and my wife is pregnant so i went to the night porter and asked for a bottle of water which they provide complimentary daily but he said he couldn't give me one and he could sell one from the bar, which i found ridiculous. The room didnt have a fridge so we couldnt buy any water and keep it cool.
Parking was £10 a day which I believe should be included in the stay.
Hotel staff were friendly other than that but I would probably look elsewhere next time. For the price we paid I did expect a lot more from the hotel.
High hopes but very disappointing stay.
On initial check in , the young lady was very helpful and took our bags as we were too early to check in.
When we returned several hours later to complete check in, the receptionist did not look at us at all when talking to us, which made it difficult to understand or hear what she was saying. We were then told that we had to pay £100 deposit- which we were not advised of prior to booking.
Her general attitude was surly and we felt an inconvenience.
We went to use the spa, and were greeted by an equally miserable lady who also made us feel like an inconvenience.
The spa area was very wet and slippery and felt unloved. The changing area looked tired and needed a Good clean.
Breakfast - on our first day we were greeted by a lovely chap called Kian, which felt like a welcomed change to the rest of our encounters with staff. The general the experience was a shambles. Lots of food had run out. We requested an omelette from the chef and were told No. There were no veggie sausages available. Coffee machine kept running out and only gave half a cup full. The food did not appear to be of good quality and was often dry from sitting under the lights and was not hot.
There were very few staff around and there was too much for them to deal with
Our room was fine, the view over looked another building but you could see the sea in the distance
Our twin beds were creaky and noisy
The shower over the bath was pretty useless and kept slipping in the holder
There was not enough tea/ coffee for us both to have the same drink and there was only one pack of complimentary biscuits , which were cheap custard creams. We requested some decaf tea at reception and were given one each.
All in all, the hotel is situated in a good location but we wouldn’t rush back. We hoped it would be a treat but you can get better service at the premier inn or Hampton,so it doesn’t warrant paying more for.
Great location , rooms are nice, clean and modern. Good value included breakfast which was good , except only scrambled eggs ,no fried eggs.
Parking was expensive at £15:50 and a long walk in the rain.
Staff were personable and efficient . I stay in Bournemouth often ,so would stay here again
Stunning hotel, great location. Everything was fantastic. Small thing is room 109 has a small frosted window with no view. When opening it opens to a dirty mucky roof. We did not leave it open as vermin might enter the room. We also mentioned it was a 40th bday but no extras not even a note.

EErich TomeldanIt’s a nice place , breakfast is great!
Only the car park is the downfall as the space is not enough.
Otherwise, an excellent get away to relax and enjoy the beach!🥳
GGuest UserWe came here for a relaxing weekend. We had just that. The staff were lovely and so helpful. Especially Jean-luc the duty manager. The room had a lovely sea view. On the right Bournemouth pier and to the left Boscombe. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Yes there was a fridge. The bed was comfortable. And linens were changed daily. We used the sauna and the indoor pool. Also all very lovely. We had no problem with parking either. A short 15- 20 min walk to Bournemouth pier. Stopped along the way at a lovely beach bar/restaurant. We even extended our stay because we were having such a lovely time. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the staff for making our much needed break away as lovely as it was!

GGuest UserWas ok, but to be honest the room and actually hotel were very dated. And the pool facilities in terms of changing were totally inadequate. Breakfast was ok, and thd location was decent. But having to pay extra for parking when I was a paying guest was poor.
