The hotel and service was excellent.! We ate at the Boathouse which was average and overpriced. The walls between each were a little thin as we could hear our next door neighbours as they were very loud. The manager did speak to them about it.
We had a wonderful stay for 4 days 3 nights at Ellenborough park. The location and estate are outstanding. This is an authentic English experience.
The staff was very kind and accomodating. We enjoyed the heated pool in february which was great. Breakfast was everything you hoped for.
We are already considering returning in warmer weather and explore the beautiful cotswolds. Definitely recommend ++++
We stayed here for Badminton Horse trials and had a great time! The staff were very friendly and helpful from start to finish. The breakfast was nice and there was a wide range of food available. We had dinner there every night as well which was lovely. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
Everything was fine except for the behavior of one employee at the reception—a lady, though I don’t want to mention her name. Also, in the room, there’s only one bottle of water provided, even if there are two guests. And if we ask for another bottle, they say we have to buy it. We’re paying £87 per night just for an overnight stay, and yet there are no additional services—not even complimentary water.
Out of all the hotels we stayed at on our trip, the DoubleTree by Hilton was definitely our favorite, followed by Hampton and Holiday Inn. Sticking with chain hotels really does save you from bad experiences. This particular DoubleTree is located in the Cotswolds, making it super convenient for visiting the nearby towns. Before checking in, we popped over to Bibury. As the sun set and the tourists left, the town was absolutely serene and beautiful! We had planned to wake up early the next day to experience the peaceful beauty of Bourton-on-the-Water before the crowds arrived, but the youngsters just couldn't get out of bed, so that plan fell through. There's a local supermarket right next to the hotel, which has a great selection and good prices – perfect for stocking up on snacks if you're driving. The breakfast was delicious, and the welcome cookies were a lovely treat. The environment is beautiful, and I'd definitely recommend it. If you're driving to the Cotswolds, staying here is an excellent choice!
The overall experience of this hotel is very good, and the process from check-in to check-out is very smooth. The service staff is friendly and polite, the room is clean and tidy, and the facilities are complete and well-maintained. The location is convenient and the surrounding living functions are also very convenient. The overall accommodation environment is comfortable and relaxing. It is a pleasant accommodation experience and I will visit again if I have the chance in the future.
Decent room size. Dinner took a while to arrive but tasted nice. Breakfast was alright too but didn’t have any hash-browns. Pool was not that big but did allow children over the age of eight to go into the jacuzzi. Pool closed a bit early on Saturday that last entry at 7.15pm. Hotel was overall quite clean.
Located in Gloucester District, Gloucester Robinswood Hotel by Sunday is a great base to explore the city from.
Go for a swim in the property's pool. You can also check out the heated pool. During your stay, treat yourself with a visit to the on-site sauna. Keep up your fitness regimen with a visit to the gym.
Grab a bite to eat at the in-house restaurant which serves British dishes. This property is home to an in-house bar.
At this hotel, you'll have access to a garden and vending machines. For extra convenience, free luggage storage and laundry service (on-site) are available at the property as well.
Parking is available at the property.
The hotel was clean however the decorations are dated. I have some noise issues in my room, a constant deep humbling sound from midnight. I am not sure what that is, it sounded like behind the wall, above the ceiling. It was very bad and lasted a whole night and I could not sleep at all. The sound made me feel sick , very unwell and hard to describe. I found it hard to breathe at one point. After almost three hours of noise disruption , I could no longer bear it anymore and contacted the help desk. To be fair, the staff were helpful and offered me an alternative room opposite my original room. Although the sound was less noisy in the new room but didn't go away. I am very disappointed with this experience and don't want to go back anymore.

GGuest UserGreat location. A very nice spa. The hotel room is unfortunately quite old, the shower was cold, the bed was uncomfortable and the walls are very thin making it hard to sleep.

GGuest UserWe stayed there over Easter holiday. Finding the hotel was easy. There is a ski slope right opposite the hotel which is good for something to do. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment but the gym, steam room, swimming pool, and sauna were in good condition. The sauna was always packed so we ended up waiting for people to leave. The bar was nice. Overall it was a good stay.
GGuest UserWe were disappointed on arrival to find that we had been allocated a standard room, instead of the Opulent one we had booked through trip. The receptionist was very nice but wasn’t able to give us the room we booked as there wasn’t one available. She gave us a slightly better room which was ok but looked like it was ready for a refresh. We needed to call reception as there wasn’t no hair dryer in the room but there was no instructions for using the phone, when we worked it out there was then no answer! We then needed reception again later as our neighbours were playing really really loud music, again no answer. Besides this, the hotel was very nice, the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced, the pool was nice and the breakfast was good. We would stay there again but book direct.

GGuest UserGreat hotel. Good location. Breakfast good. We had a ground floor room which was directly on the pavement. Room could get noisy with people outside and had to keep the curtains closed at all times for privacy. Could do with fitting some mirrored glass. We didn’t complain as we’re only staying for 2 nights. Would stay again but not on ground floor.
