The hotel is probably 1 star rating our room was really small and looked nothing like the pics, the bathroom came with no toiletries, even when we called reception and asked for it to be sent nothing came. The water in the shower wasn’t hot either and walking down the hallway from our room there were dirty towels outside just laying in the hallway it was terrible. Definitely don’t recommend this hotel

We arrived whilst a wedding was taking place, felt very awkward as we felt like we was intruding. We took our drinks outside and sat around the corner out the way, however we was told the wedding party would be coming we would need to move no problem as we had the spa booked anyway. The spa was great and all the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We had booked the swallows suite as it was a special occasion and it was described as a peaceful romantic getaway... this it was not!! A boxing event was also on, from 8pm we had crowds and music outside our room this was fine as we thought it will be over for 11ish however from around the 10 the party seemed to move to the room below us... dance music thumping and loud cheering, we lasted till around 11 to which I called reception, they had a word we had quite until around 230 and it started again, called reception again at 4am. On check out i raised my concerns but we never received an apology just.. we never normally get complaints with that room, we did however receive a decent refund. On check in we should of been warned that a boxing event was taking place. We left feeling very tired and disappointed that a weekend we had waited so long for was ruined.

Very awkward arrival, as there was a wedding going on, the whole party was in reception and bride and groom having photos in front of the Manor. It seemed odd to me that the wedding party had to hang around the main entrance whilst normal guests were wandering around. Didn't get a warm welcome, felt like I was gate crashing. Later on in the evening there was also a boxing match going on! Really noisy overnight, the room and appliances were very tired. We never got our chocolate truffles. I did give feedback at checkout and was refunded a decent amount. Personally I had hoped for a quiet stay in the country but there were too many other, loud people around. It didn't feel like the staff or the building could cope with the number.

Amazing! So luxurious, stunning facilities. Room was clean. I can't wait to attend again. Only slight negative I have is that the rooms weren't sound proof, and spa music was played continuously in the corridor overnight which I could hear which made me a little hesitant to use my hairdryer at 6am as its noisy and I didn't want to risk waking guests. Oh, and there is a CAT that lives in the manor too! She visits the bar area and will say hello to you but only if you call her over like I did. If your're not a fan of cats, do not worry she won't go out of her way to bother you.

Food was AMAZING…. Staff were very friendly and polite but most of all food was AMAZING. 🤩 Will most definitely be going back. We spent a few hours in the spa first which was lovely then had food in the restaurant which finished a lovely day off.

I have stayed in this hotel for around 7 months every fortnight , the place is immaculate and very clean. A cat was recently adopted having been seemingly homeless she is microchipped and inoculated. She acts as a draw for a lot of people, myself and my colleagues included who now stay here because of her. The gentleman that wrote a review saying this place is vile, filthy and prone to disease probably needs to check his facts, his review is inaccurate bordering on libelous having no evidence to substantiate an accusation of somewhere being prone to infection and disease. Perhaps the good gentleman is unaware of how clean and fastidious felines are along with the fact this is a country location. Ironically there are far more rats in urban locations, perhaps he has been lucky enough not to notice them. Trip Advisor should be checking such reviews for facts and accuracy when such allegations are made. I can’t recommend this establishment highly enough for both the staff and cleanliness. I sincerely hope one review from such an individual doesn’t result in the removal of Lady Hattie as that will most certainly affect both mine and my colleagues decision to stay here.

My husband and I went to Hatherley manor for mothers day Sunday lunch, and believe me I will be returning!. we went quite late in the service and the food was still fresh and incredible. service was amazing and was seen too straight away. i chose to have the beef which was tender and cooked perfectly and my husband had the chicken which had brie in the centre. I will continue to suggest the hotel as it is a must!. Lady Hattie is also a perfect addition to the hotel and is so calm to all the guests who approach her i love to see her every time I visit.

Great place to stay, particularly if you are using the Spa. Breakfast was good, with a range of choices and dinner was good value and tasty. The rooms are a little on the small side and one bedroom we had used sliding doors for the bathroom and wardrobe which were not great. The bar and the staff were lovely and they had a local beer on tap which was good to see.
